I've got one story from a Star Wars RPG that's somewhat relevant

>Empire era
>Party of three, two Twi'lek former slaves and a Cerean Jedi as a merchant
>One of the Twi'leks is known for being an all around psychopath starting crazy bullshit wherever we go
>Its player, in one of our last games, was able to mind control a mindflayer and proceeded to fuck it to death
>Arrive at a bar on an asteroid, looking for bounty work
>Psycho Twi'lek approaches the bar and asks for a bottle of pure ethanol
>Forks over all his credits for the bartender to do it (not much, we're level 2 at this point)
>Psycho proceeds to chug the entire fucking bottle
>Collapses and falls into a coma right there
>We take her back to my ship and get her hooked up on basic life support, but me and the other Twi'lek have no medical knowledge and are just winging it with what we have

Our last session involved another drunken rampage where the Twi'lek found the keys to some bounty hunter's ship and used it to blast a sith apart before flying away to "become a warlord on Ryloth". I've had ideas to make a game with her as the antagonist but frankly I have little desire to run anything star wars related and the player killed him

I've spent the last year, studying, and designing a custom Arthurian set, originally intended to be based on Le Morte d'Arthur (like how P3k was based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms).

However, as I continued to study, and look into different (and some obscure sources) this turned into a much more wider net.

This set, which is no where near finished includes
>Welsh Triads and The Magnibong
>Pre-Vulgate Arthur traditions
>Vulgate/Post Vulgate/Lancelot cycles
>some English/Welsh fairy tales
>and even a bit of the Victorian Arthurian revival (especially for art).

I avoided the Italian and German romances entirely, and tried not to include weird outliners except when needed. Outside of art, nothing is sourced from the 20th century or onward. Also all art is public domain.

I'm mainly posting here for feedback. Some will be art recommendations, flavor text (especially sourced) will be always welcomed.

Have you tried homebrewing different types of healing working differently and having different applications?
Maybe I'm making stuff too complicated for the sake of being different.

Given how most game sessions are lucky to last a few hours it would be awful to grind the game to a halt for even half an hour to solve a middle school logic problem (god knows how long a more complex one might take). But I still feel like they are something that could be used sparingly.

What if the players beat a skill check/scenario to continue the scene but the puzzle/riddle is introduced as something for more rewards? Hell, let the players continue to the next scene but let them think back to the puzzle and maybe solve it. Would that be a better solution to the past's 'all or nothing' approach?

Glad someone started a new thread.
There’s something I wanted to share.

Remember how I submitted my game to that local game design contest?
I got the initial results on December 24th.

Not only did I make it to the final phase, I actually received the highest tier possible in the rules evaluation.

That means I get to send them a prototype for playtesting, along with the latest version of the rules.
I’m cautiously optimistic about how this will go.

I’ll keep you posted.
