Buy a sheet of ply, some PVA glue and some sand and you'll have a better board for half the price

these pads are made with AI art. It's not technically bad art but lmao there's something uncanny about seeing something that's ALMOST correct, but then has weird details and mistakes no human would make.

Anyone play it yet? I like the "rustic fantasy" setting. The core rules seem interesting, it has more mechanics and gameplay than most other narrative games. I enjoy that it doesn't have moves or whatever to confine you, you can actually play your character and do whatever you want. It's got enough knobs and options in terms of resolution I feel like it's actually a real game despite having that more story focus vs simulation focus. And I like that the DM has all the traditional power of the DM and there's not like "Fate Points" or something else that gives players control to change stuff.
Thinking I might try a short game for my table, just a few lower powered sessions. It also has good tools for a solo stuff which is interesting.

The biggest thing I struggle with for the PBTA stuff is the moves feel constricting to me. I just don't feel like I'm authentically doing what I want to when it comes to do "all actions you can take are one of these 9 moves."

Lurk five more years before posting newfag.

I've spent the last year, studying, and designing a custom Arthurian set, originally intended to be based on Le Morte d'Arthur (like how P3k was based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms).

However, as I continued to study, and look into different (and some obscure sources) this turned into a much more wider net.

This set, which is no where near finished includes
>Welsh Triads and The Magnibong
>Pre-Vulgate Arthur traditions
>Vulgate/Post Vulgate/Lancelot cycles
>some English/Welsh fairy tales
>and even a bit of the Victorian Arthurian revival (especially for art).

I avoided the Italian and German romances entirely, and tried not to include weird outliners except when needed. Outside of art, nothing is sourced from the 20th century or onward. Also all art is public domain.

I'm mainly posting here for feedback. Some will be art recommendations, flavor text (especially sourced) will be always welcomed.

With Tristan here, we go into Tristan and Isolde, one of the more famous splinter tales (which was originally a story completely independent from Arthurian legend.

Before you say this is a commander mechanic "Partner with X) was originally a 60 card mechanic, and was mostly features on non-legendary creatures.

>bet you've read less than 30% of that, and it's just a feelgood shrine functionally indistinguishable from some other fag's wall of Funko Pops.

Eh, Warhammer books ain't exactly hard reading. You can get through an entire edition's codexs in a day if you want to. Compared to the academic books I read they're a breeze. I mostly use them for painting inspiration though, as I really love the classic 80s-90s aesthetic, especially the colors.

I'm not convinced it is a real conversion, too much of it is blurred and indistinct. Too much detail is missing. All hallmarks of ai.

Further, real or no, the "models" in the image are partially painted and of middling quality. They command no respect and are worthy of no praise or recognition. If he wants to show off unfinished work he can take it to the WIP thread, if he wants to post ai, he can take it to the ai thread. His posts have no place here under any circumstances.

Either way the photo was not posted in good faith, so there's no reason to give him the benefit of the doubt.

It's an awful conversion and an awful paintjob, but we're in an oldhammer thread. Models that look like shit all the way the down are de rigueur.

Why were so many of the "OG" game designers insufferable faggots? It seems like the vast majority of game designers from the 70s and 80s were self-obsessed dickheads who openly hated and looked down on their customer base. There were obviously exceptions, and some like Gygax would go on to regret and apologize for it, but still, what made so many "professionals" back then such fags?

Pic related: WFRP author James Wallis's response to a letter criticizing how railroaded The Enemy Within campaign was.

Iron Maiden - ?
Artifact Creature - Structure
2/4

Iron Maiden cannot attack.

On ETB, Iron Maiden fights target creature. If that creature survives, it becomes a 1/1 creature and cannot attack as long as Iron Maiden is in play.

> the fact that his god demands bloody sacrifices shouldn't be surprising.
It fucking depends. It might not be surprising to people who have grown up in a cult, but player characters probably aren't in that cult, have different environments, and they are free to be surprised by whatever they wish. Some places, for example, practice slavery and cannibalism to this day. We know this academically, but even if you do, surprise is still a perfectly reasonable reaction to encountering it.

Also, that's not what the original picture is saying. It's not about accepting that you belong to the place, quite the opposite actually. It's about how you are merely a guest in some made up wakanda, and should be respectful lie a guest would.

>Being exotic is shallow, hollow, and empty
No, retard, being dull does not grant you any substance. Also, the natives being blind to their weirdness contributes to the sense of exoticism, and not a separate thing. I want to say your advice is bad, but its not even actionable advice at all. It's a half-baked thought that will not, in any way, make any game better.
>>
>>97282330
"Go back" has always been used to tell your kind to fuck off. Copying it, and then using it on the people who normally use it is fine, but then acting like using it earlier grants some advantage is retarded.
