The dungeons in my setting are there mainly because of climatic upheavals. The frost giants brought about an ice age to force humans south and expand their own territory. That lasted for centuries before they were driven back and the artifact they used broken. Because of that, mankind is currently reclaiming lost cities and clearing out the strongholds of giants and their allies. The sea level also fell during the ice age, so many new ports had to be built which are now undersea dungeons.

I just use them as regular orcs but with bows. Meaning I move them forward, maybe shoot once and then charge with them or allow them to be charged. If you want proper shooting, I'd go with goblin archers or artillery. But I've noticed people tend to forget about them because they asume they're useless and don't even bother charging them or shooting at them. They cast a spell or shoot them with artillery once and that's it. So the advantage is they're staying pretty healthy until the late game. They're decent melee fighters, so when the oponent has injured units in later turns, they're a pretty good option to charge into things and finish them off.
That's just the way I see it and bear in mind thinking strategically is almost anathema while playing orcs because fuck you, I'm going to charge into that unit and there's nothing you can do about it

I feel like this edition has alot of objectively bad things about it and is absolutely where the alot of worst qualities of current editions showed up. But I feel like I prefer playing this edition compared to a lot of previous editions and 10th edition. Its a weird transitional period where there's still a lot of the old units that haven't been legended yet while still having the fucking Primaris lot. Its strange but I don't feel like I'm missing out on much staying on this edition and playing with friends casually instead of going back to playing the current edition.

What are your experiences with in-game moral and ethical dilemmas and players saying, "At the climax of our journey, we turn around and leave"?

I feel as though a lot of GMs' attempts at in-game moral and ethical dilemmas are unwittingly sabotaged by adventure inertia and players' desire to avoid saying, "At the climax of our journey, we turn around and leave."

The way I usually see it structured, a bunch of antagonists stir up trouble. The PCs agree to help the locals. The party investigates some dangerous place or situation. Then, at the very end of the adventure, the PCs see that the antagonists have some vaguely justifiable reason for causing trouble.

The above structure is perfectly fine (and indeed, I have used it many times myself as a GM), but where things get janky is when the antagonists sincerely plea for the PCs to just turn around and leave, and the GM earnestly expects this to be an option that should be seriously taken into consideration.

I have never, ever seen this happen, for understandable reasons. Very, very few players want to say, "At the climax of our journey, we turn around and leave." It is much more common for the players and their PCs either work out a compromise with major concessions from the antagonists, beat up the antagonists, or both (i.e. beat up, restrain, work out compromise and major concessions from position of power).

Here is the problem. You're presenting with the options of:
1. Continue to play the game
2. End the game early with an unsatisfactory ending. Also arguably undo all their progress

Let's ignore that most people playing D&D don't really come here to deal with your philosophy and ethics 101 moral dilemmas.

What you want to do is give them two (or more) options that allow the story to still keep going. Or if it's the end of the story - to choose how it ends. But the key to both of those it that it needs to be satisfying.

And this is the problem with the "we turn around and leave" idea. Leaving is giving up. It's quitting. And your players didn't show up to quit. So think of a solution that's not "okay we quit" because that's never going to be the choice they make.

Heavy armor is +5, but otherwise seems appropriate

Silver Swords are usually reserved for knights and leaders only

Githwarriors are usually shown carrying a basic two handed sword (great weapon)

Too lazy right now to math out whether the points cost makes complete sense, if it ends up being too low I would either give them a second attack and/or bump WS to 5. The Old World version of the Chaos Warrior seems to be the closest equivalent to what I outlined above and they are 15 points with a great weapon

Doublechecking, you're right, silver swords are a rare prize - a Githyanki Knight of 7th level or higher, in AD&D, whilst high-level Githwarriors and mid-ranked gish & knights might carry either Greatswords +1 or Longswords +2, So, yes, the Silver Sword should definitely be stripped from the githwarrior and made something for githyanki knights (as a unit), heroes and lords, while standard githwarriors just wield great weapons.
