>>97227663You should check out the 4th Corporate War books from 2020 in >>97200207. Obviously the corps aren't allowed to go that all-out anymore but it could inspire you. My favorite cyberpunk ™ corporate job is employee extraction (very rarely the target actually does want to work for you!). It can get extra dicey if you're forced to extract the target's family from the company dorms or you can challenge your players morals when they find out the target is actually fine starting fresh and abandoning his family, probably to the streets. You can also go nuts with the corp's defenses. The 4CW had stuff like concealed turrets that would pop out of the walls to defend against AV's flying around. What corporation does your crew want to run for? Or which corporation looks like the most fun for you?
>>97230424FUCK!
>>97229581Okay think about it like this. Charismatic Impact is one really expensive skill that's limited in application and unless you get it to a high level grants middling benefits. It's a similar problem to the Lawman and Backup.
>>97234045If you cannot see how useful a skill to turn groups of people or individuals in your fans, and then having those fans do shit for you, you're bad at rpgs, full stop.
>>97234045Alright, so lets talk about what Charismatic Impact does realistically, using the book examples: DV 8, DV 10 and DV 12 are standardized across the board and are both for making fans and getting stuff from them. The GM is instructed to auto-fail requests that are out of scope, so we'll try to match the descriptions to the letter. We'll assume the maximum rank for a given bracket, just to not calculate things too many times:Rank 2:DV 8 - Individual - 40% chance of doing a small favor; providing a meal or transportationDV 10 - Small Group - 20% chance of showing up invitedDV 12 - Large Group - N/ARank 4:DV 8 - Individual - 60% chance of doing a large favorDV 10 - Small Group - 40% chance of hanging around and providing food or transportationDV 12 - Large Group - 20% chance of... to be honest this one is kinda vague, but following the initial pattern, it seems they'll show upRank 6:DV 8 - Individual - 80% chance of doing minor crimesComment too long. Anyone else played Castles and Crusades? I like it because it lets you choose a race and class, has ascending AC, but still feels like old school D&D. I've only had a few chances to play it but might run it some more if I can convince my friends to try it again.
>>97231522I'm a fan of the weirder monsters found in the Fiend Folio. I want to use Crab Men in a game sometime in the near future. Might have them guarding a stretch of coat notable for shipwrecks. Survivors are often torn to pieces by the vicious Crab Men.

>>97219020>>97219666if you came from the /a/ thread where it was announced im the anon who was shilling wixoss the entire time.the cards arnt much thicker except the uber foil ones which will fit in any normal sized sleeve and also you probably wont pull from 1 box anyway. Like others said something like dragon shield color of choice will work fine and any normal binder. You could stop by your local game store and ask just say its for weiss or mtg since its the same size and they can point you in the correct directions.signed wixoss cards like the rarity you posted will probably go $80-200 but some like "???" and "SP" will go for thousands. wixoss cards are pretty enough low rarity if your just trying for some bling wont cost your bank but your generally better off getting singles then boxes just because of rarity distribution. You can do this from sites like jpn mercari or yuyutei with a proxy or forwarding service. Just be warned proxy fees, japanese then int shipping, and tariffs will increase prices.

Do you prefer systems with a strict class-based martial/caster division or classless systems that allow anyone to dip into anything at the cost of never being great at it?
>>97231862Because the mods won't do anything about it and never have.
>>97229035How so? You just need to make sure players pick their second classes based on what happened in game and character motivations, not because of what's mechanically strongest.
>>97229027Yes. Class games make new campaigns more fun, you get to try new mechanics that were not available before. Classless games can only offer the same experience if they have enough variety in their possible options.

TTRPGs are a social game first and foremost. That means there's unspoken rules that vary from group-to-group, but a common one is "acceptable breaks from sensibility" in the name of game experience or table cohesion. It's the kind of thing that keeps the bitter rivalry between the Elf and the Dwarf largely to amusing banter and not outright PvP. It's an innate instinct: nobody likes to spoil the atmosphere, because that's a large part of the appeal of a good game (alongside the freedom). That being said, there are also times when the group's course of action is patently retarded and you can't meaningfully push back on it without feeling like you'd cause a big fight over nothing (and then feel obligated to keep comrades away from the consequences), or something a character cannot abide has to be "sanded over" somewhat, or you as the GM don't want to cultivate the feeling that you're antagonizing your players by hitting them over the head with "you murdered someone because it was convenient and didn't even take measures to cover your tracks" or whatever unhinged misadventure occurred because something about the player position of the table cause human beings to lose IQ. Have you ever had that feeling? I think I see enough greentexts to think it's common.
>>97228814Did you?
>>97228087Youtube farming thread lmao
>>97231000Try me, bitchfag
>>97228087Very little. I am willing to remind players that certain ideas are very, very stupid. I am also willing to let players ignore me and put their very, very stupid ideas into practice. My general rules of thumb is if the character they're playing should know better, the player should be at least aware of whatever flaws their Int/Wis/whatever brain stat allows them to understand with the aforementioned plan.If there's no good in-world way to justify an alert as to an exceedingly stupid action, I just drop an "Are you sure?", and that usually gets their paranoia going enough to reconsider, at least briefly.
>>97228087I hit my players with consequences for dumb actions that seem wildly disproportionate all the time. You argued in front of the quest giver maiden? She loses her faith in the heroes she summoned and kills herself while you aren’t watching. Tell the last living fire priestess she is worthless because she doesn’t have a tome to teach you from? She drinks until she really does become useless and her miracles are lost forever.I’ve had players who needed to be told the consequences to their plans beforehand because their characters were supposed to be smarter. Those players never learned and still performed the plans anyway, dooming themselves and ruining sessions for the rest of us again and again. It’s never worth it. Just kick them on the next character death, won’t take long.
To preface, I'm an MTG veteran. My first Precon was Coven Counters in 2021 and I've been an EDH player ever since. After years of playing, I think the WUBRG elemental may just do me in. Gimmick synergy, tribal, a real throw in anything somewhat related type of commander potential. It also has the most forced WUBRG ability to date: being able to pay WUBRG in order to keep an Elemental you Evoked is utter bullshit. It completely defeats the purpose of Evoke and is just a continuation of "drop a set, put whatever you want under 1 commander."I hate it, you hate it, and it's just a slap in the face of previous WUBRG Legendaries that tried to be something more than tribal or gimmick synergy, or just cram some WUBRG ability in last second, such as [[Atogatog]] [[General Tazri]] [[Golos, Tireless Pilgrim]] [[Jodah, the Unifier]] [[Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile]] [[Morophon, the Boundless]] [[Najeela, Blade Blossom]] and [[Ramos, Dragon Engine]] . And I'm missing a shitton of other WUBRG Legendaries that could be Commanders. But let's look at the new WUBRG Legendaries that could be Commanders (hint: they're all tribal, gimmick synergy, or cram in a WUBRG ability last second): [[Avatar Aang]] [[Cosmic Spider-Man]] [[Hei Bai, Forest Guardian]] [[Heroes in a Half Shell]] and [[Infinite Guideline Station]] .As long as WotC keeps dropping cards like [[Horde of Notions]] , MTG will die very soon and for real this time.

>>97160740>Thinks faggy tranny elf queers were ever attractive.
>>97193167Even elven troons don't pass.
>>97232871Dwarves like that would be agoraphobic.
>>97233986True, I forgot that in my interpretation, but the rest of it would be true. They would be seeing things for the first time constantly, would have improper or non existant instincts for above ground situations, and likely either a sense of wonder or dread/disgust for everything they come across. Think of an old tiny hamlet medieval Catholic lady obsessively crossing herself every five minutes because she’s walking downtown Las Vegas. A dwarf would be doing similar things for their first time above ground, gawping at the sky or a lake or birds, signing the cross equivalent everytime they see a wooden building or stone structure that was made of brick instead of carved of fully native stone. Would they even understand the concept of windows or think they’re senseless unnatural openings? All kinds of things would be new and uncanny and scary or awe inspiring to them. Might even cause them to become completely neurotic.
>>97234008Dwarves literally craft windows for underground village homes. They keep the bugs out, while letting them keep an eye on the neighborhood. The primary differences between an underground village or city in a fantasy setting and one on the surface are building materials, flora and fauna, disasters (cave ins, quakes, and floods vs. hurricanes and hail or snow), and the sky or lack thereof. There may be cultural differences as well. But most dwarven and even drow cities are similar to surface cities and built in immense caverns.

>>97230596The true judge of such a DM is if you point out a rule that you know is in the game that he doesnt know of. Does he accept it and let you use it, does he just say no and carries on with his lobotomised version, or does he maim or kill your character in the next adventure as revenge or to regain dominance over you?
