Can I get some help with something please?
I decided to get back into Arena but couldn't remember which mail I used for the last time I wanted to "Seriously" get into it.

I've played Arena twice in the past, each time with a different mail but I can't remember which of the two was my last play and loging into both I can't find enough clues.

I do notice something weird tho:
One account has outright more events than the other. Why is this?

To steal from another wargame I've played, one of the factions can 'Evolve'.
Each unit has two things they can 'evolve' into. By default the player can evolve one unit a turn, but some abilities let them try to evolve more.

For example, their chaff unit has two evolutions
- Kill self and turn into a bunch of resource for the rest of the warband
- turn into another unit type, but keep the same hp

and another unit has these evolutions
- gain 1 HP and armour, attack deals significant extra damage under some conditions
- gain 2 HP, their other ability increases the damage and push distance a bit.

Heretic Legion and its variants. They are by far the most straightforward faction. No weird gimmicks or special mechanics. Great for learning the ropes and then moving on to more complex factions.
Speaking of more complex factions, New Antioch definitely takes the cake in that regard. It looks like it's a simple, long-range, heavily armored faction, while in reality its anything but. Investing in armor is useless when playing it, it doesn't have great melee capabilities, and it excels specifically in close-quarters ranged combat. On top of that, you also need to master activation economy and it's fireteam special mechanic. It really has a steep learning curve and a tall skill ceiling on top of that. It's great and I personally love it, but it may not be for everyone, especially newcomers.

Of course no one cares to talk about them anymore, they're not the current fucking issue. People are complaining about Hudie because it's the current problem deck, and once Hudie gets hit we'll stop talking about it and instead talk about the next problem deck. The most annoying thing about Hudie is you can't disrupt it. Ankylomon gives -2k dp to your flood gates, and Hudiemon gives -12k dp to anything else. The only way to stop it is to outpace it with Jesmon, and yes that's also a problem but at least it can't wipe your fucking floodgates just by going into a level 4 or playing fucking Chitose. All you have to do is open your eyes to the tournament results and you'll see how fucking stupid you are. Fuck, I hated Fenrir Take and I hate Hudiemon.

Theres a difference between "can run this in gurps" and "can run this in gurps better than an existing system." For something like Traveller, which 100% can be run in GURPS, but requires the GM to read and use Spaceships, stat a bunch of gear in GCS, ect, its easier to just cope with an existing system. When my group does GURPS conversion projects they usually take months of GCS work, because we want to do them comprehensively, rather than just renaming a bunch of relevant tech doodads.

This isn't to say our way is the only way, its totally fine to just rename UT equipment to run cyberpunk or make a legally distinct but inspired by (x) setting in an afternoon, but its just how we generally seem to prefer doing it.

I will say its mostly just been bad luck. I am a statistical anomaly with how bad my luck is with and game involving dice. Also our first two runs we did completely blind and did not meta, per say. I do feel we are much better then when we first played.

Also, another thing I forgot to mention with SotF, is that per Poots directly the "you must keep this result" part of the text only means you can't go back to the original result, not that the new result can't be rerolled. Also, SotF rerolls on multi-die rolls such as SotF intimacy will reroll one at a time, not both.

So in short:
- Anybody present can reroll any die. During settlement phase, any survivor can reroll anything. During hunt and showdown phase, any departing survivor can reroll anything. I assume this counts scouts too? Haven't played since GC came out like I said but it seems to fit the pattern.
- The same die can be rerolled as many times as you're willing to throw rerolls at it.
- When rerolling a multi-die roll (such as SotF intimacy or an attack roll), each reroll only affects one die.

It is easy mode but it's how Poots says it works so I guess that's how it is.

About to try and GM my first Exalted game, using 3e. I've done VtM 20th anniversary before so a lot of the system is recognizable but for my 2 Solars what kind of scale are they going to be starting at? I was envisioning them running around the Scavenger Lands since one of them is a runaway from Lookshy and was going to pick a city up the river as a starting location. Should I expect with their powers (One is a Zenith one is a Twilight) that they'll be taking over that city through social manipulation or raising armies out of the citizens and on a march of conquest at Essence 1? I'm used to improvisation but just want to know if I should prepare things around a single city or do I need to be ready for them to be jumping from city to city like the Hulk and talk no justu'ing every mortal administrator into being either a loyal puppet or sex slave?
