And that's not considering Teamwork, the most busted mechanic in Essence, or any other capless adders. Dicetricks in Essence never got any worse than double 7s and double successes (Excellent Strike-and-alikes), you won't find anything like 3e's smorgasbord of artisanal ways to fondle dice.You're not wrong that longer difficulty scales would be appreciated, at least.
