>>97861714You're really obsessed with this shit, huh.
>>97865077I think it's generous to give them free advertising.Shows somebody cares on some level.God knows I don't think the cover artist did.
>>97862717You've never done that. You're a born and bred submissive; if a shrill bluehair raiser their/them voice to you you would crumble and comply in a microsecond.
>>97861714If you play ttrpgs, you should be happy that other people are finding success and joy playing ttrpgs. If you can't be, then there's something wrong that you need to work on.
>>97865309What if those people are fascists?
Life’s a bitch, and finding happiness when you’re down isn’t easy. And through enduring these hardships, I sincerely hope that you, the individual reading this, will go on to lead a fulfilling life. May all that brings you sadness be alleviated, moments of grief be diminished, and may you continue to find reasons to smile and to laugh. So, I’m curious: which game brings you the greatest joy? Which system, setting, mechanic, or design/designer provides you with pure, unfiltered happiness? I’m not strictly asking for the “best” game. The rules could be a mess, design jumbled, or an outright failure. I’m asking which gives you the most joy.Keep in line with /tg/ ~ No video games are allowed
>>97862573I've only glanced at the Virtue and Vice thing in the Storyteller system, how's it work and play out?
>>97863110The Storyteller system primarily uses point-based character creation, where you allocate points to traits, often choosing merits and optional flaws. Flaws grant extra points for other characteristics, incentivizing their selection. Ultimately, the roleplaying appeal is my main draw to this mechanic.
>>97863131>Storyteller system is apparently different than Storytelling system My bad I thought you meant the newer one.
>>97863146The Storytelling/Storyteller System is used by White Wolf, with "Storytelling" for the New World of Darkness (Chronicles of Darkness) and "Storyteller" for the original World of Darkness. Discontinued in 2003 after the metaplot buildup from Vampire: The Masquerade, it was replaced by the streamlined Storytelling System. Characters are built with character points, each representing a Dot on their sheet, with each Dot corresponding to a d10. Exalted uses a variation of the Storytelling System, but since I haven't read their books, I don't know what changes were made or how it differs from nWoD and oWoD.

>>97865257>The Soviet Union wasn't totalitarian because autonomous regions were free to rule as they wish as long as they did as the Supreme Council commanded. It's called autonomous!Lol
>>97865275So your definition of totalitarian is literally every government that’s ever existed
>>97865283No dipshit, I'm saying that delegation of power is not what makes a nation totalitarian or not.
>>97865275Typically the only thing the Supreme Council commands is the Imperial Tithe. Planetary Governors are effectively sovereign outside of that. The only way I can see that qualifying as totalitarian is because the Lex Imperialis was originally written by the Emperor, but then it has been extensively modified after the fact to the point that some Arbites spend their entire lives studying it and its bureaucratic intricacies.
>>97865291Delegation of power isn’t, but not having control over your delegates sure as fuck is
You know what'd be a great April Fools' joke, if this board wasn't absolute dogshit for a day.
>>97820093Yeah idk why the mods are so bad here. Im convinced 100% theyre the same trolls shitting up the board themselves because of some weird autistic anti 40k hate boner. They 100% allow off topic posts and never ban the trolls and blatant samefagging
>>97864987>never ban the trollsThere's one mod actively defending some and even encouraging them. This board would actually be okay if the mods did nothing but delete illegal stuff, but because there's absolutely no checks on what they do, their abuses of power have dramatically worsened the board.

>mimimi, humans don't have their own feature, mimimi, we have to invent somethingNecromancy right here. When was the last time you saw non-human necromancer, lich or vampire? That's right, they practically don't exist because other races are simply inferior when it comes to necromancy and those non-human undead are so pathetic that everyone forgets about their existence in 5 minutes . Except for that one orc, but even he understood that he was worthless and therefore got himself a human body to finally become a full-fledged lich. So yes, here is your feature humans - necromancy, you know that I am right, you can't run away from the truth forever.
>>97840110It's not the expanding their lifespan part they care about, it's the ability to come back if they ever get killed, plus the massively enhanced magical powers.
>>97855553They can be plague carriers, or designed to poison crops and food storage.
>>97816513At the very least there should be more goblins and shit being turned into undead minions, to say nothing of more intelligent undead like vampires. After all, given how goblins are usually depicted as fast-breeding there should be more chances for them to be turned by accident if that’s possible (after all, why wouldn’t a vampire take advantage of their convenience as good sources), and by turning their bodies into undead a necromancer can reuse their minions after death.

Got my hands on 10 Genestealer-Metamorphs. Wanne use them as proxys, any team suggestion? My first idea was Mandrakes.
>>97864296Mandrakes would be pretty strange, their rules are so specific. Metamorphs have hand flamers though, so maybe you could tool them up to be novitiates or sanctifiers? It would require a bit of conversion and a few extra models almost certainly but it could work really well.Otherwise, check how goats would work.
>>97865113I thought about Mandrakes exactly because of the sneaky theme, low armour, only 4 specialists for less conversion and i thought they the basesize was the same. Now i see it is different. Mandrakes have 28 and Metamorphs 32, like marines. For Sanctifiers and Novitiates the theme feels less fitting and the equipment differs way more. Even if i could improvise most of it for Sancts excluding the Missionary.
>>97865211I thought the flamer teams would fit because of the devotion and faith aspects otherwise. But check Hernkyn, Scouts, and Kommandos for options to play them as if you're looking for sneaky options.

Players who bitch about stun mechanics being bad.Whatever system you're playing probably has several options for you to be able to do the same thing to the monsters. Now, you don't HAVE to take those options if you don't want to, but don't complain about "wahh he can do it but I can't" when you were crystal clearly given the option for it.>b-but being paralyzed means I don't get to play! that's not fun!Suck it up, buttercup, you'll be fine in a couple minutes. Besides, how do you think the GM feels if you stun his poor precious monsters and now he doesn't get to play? Would you still be bitching about it then?

>>97859547what prompt are you using?
>>97865249Hey, snucks! I missed these little guys
Hi tg, I only visit this site every month/years so forgive me for missing any site culture.I said this before years ago but it was during a time when the site was having problems with some discord group trying to shit up the board so I'll say it again:I really wish there would be a scene of Rogal Dorn crying or otherwise breaking down in a way that wasn't anger and/or only internally with no outward emotional change. He's clearly dysfunctional in the way he bottles up his grief and/or expresses it through rage, may or may not be suicidal, but even if it's meant to be unhealthy the way he never grieves (not even when alone) in a way that's sadness rather than rage is somewhat silly. Not only does he clearly feel, but Dorn all but explicitly has a lot of guilt about feeling like he hasn't done enough. In fanfiction world this would be handled with a partner/close friend comforting him over that, in canon since primarchs don't have love interests and Dorn doesn't really have anyone he considers "on his level" (Shielding his sons, etc). So a brother would be a likely confidant if any. Something like a scene of Dorn, right after handing his half dead father over to whoever looked over the emperor medically, running to his quarters and having a legitimate panic attack would be amazing. Extra grimdark for him then walking out looking shaken up but gruff and putting back on the tough facade when one of his men ask.Last time this suggestion was posted some people specifically took issue with him essentially being "too manly" to cry. Yes Dorn is stoic but this franchise is more "ancient Roman soldiers who speak in flowery language and talk about weeping for their brothers" than 2000'es machismo where talking about your feelings is "gay". Primarchs, Dorn included, talk about loving their sons/brothers and no one is calling Konrad Curze "emasculated" for crying over his visions of the future.
>think this'll be an interesting write up >It's just more Warhammer lore bs people have talked about 100 times already >Not even an interesting chapter it's the fucking imperial fists Warhammer fans need a containment board
>>97860891>That's the entire Horus Heresy and arguably most primarch interactions after.Right, which is why you shouldn't care about it. Instead care about the efficiency of your anti-tank squad.
>>97860891Generally speaking, Discord Trannies LIKE to ape the worst aspects of board culture, to pretend to belong, but have nothing to contribute to a thread. They always appear to defend whatever ESG Diversity-bollocks is going on in the industry; if you don't like the nusoicaca then you are a "Chud" or an "Incel" and you need to "Go back to /pol/".They seldom have anything constructive to say, they usually just try to call you a Nogames until you post your workbench or table, at which point they will either disappear or change tack and make fun of your craft skills, choice of system, etc.Not all leftoids are technically discord trannies; they can share some of the tendencies, but actually participating in the hobby tends to lead to certain ineluctable conclusions about the current state of the products and companies; believe it or not, the discord trannies initially set out to "cleanse" a space that was already fairly left leaning; this is a process that continues to alienate basic bitch liberals who mostly just wanna grill like any boomer. As a Chud, sometimes I struggle to differentiate, but the main distinguisher of a discord tranny is that they argue in bad faith, and so can never establish anything concrete about themselves; they never post their own work (they have none) and they never make any statements about themselves, because to do so would reveal their lack of investment, and thereby, the lack of weight to their opinion.Their alignment is only usually revealed by their persistent choice of targets, and their shibboleths.
>>97864948You're in it.I bash on Warhammer more than you could believe, but this IS the Warhammer containment board. There was a time when the even the lolicons on /b/ were getting their threads bulled off the board by the Ur-Barbarians of Warhammer Wednesday.I mean, it comes down to the fact that OP just wanted some place to discuss his twee little headcanon, as he was pootling along innocently enjoying his hobby, and his imagination in the most mundane and inoffensive of ways, and the whole culture revolving around the thing has become too fucked up even for that.
>>97856780I remember this one. Welcome back. You have the right kind of autism, the kinds that actually does things and isn't too concerned with what other people think, or not concerned enough to stop being how they are. No real interest in your fiction but keep at it.

Travel log #13 [ New Orleans, Louisiana ]-[*7 / 10 ]>>>>>Pros> This is one of the most packed towns, nominally Camarilla, but with a heavy independent presence, especially 'necromancers'> Being one of the oldest places for the Blood it has a very well established community with shared resources > There is a degree of tolerance between the things that share the night with us, much less dangerous compared to up north >>>>>Cons> The Loups might have an understanding with denizens of the city but they don't tolerate intrusions, especially from 'tourists'> Currently there is a war ongoing between the Giovanni and Samedi with both not being 'precise' in their attacks > The Night is weird and full of non-Blood threats. Someday the ocean is going to eat this town wholeFinally got around to meeting up with some of the other Marquette exiles who've settled down well in Louisiana. Miss Quebec and her new Coterie seem satisfied in their current arrangement, even getting comfortable with the music they're producing. The Prince wasn't particularly pleasant. Plus there are other things that trigger my 'long-term' alarms.Gün got to meet some free Gargoyles though. Good to start building up contacts.>>97863552Comment too long. Given that anime and anime inspired cartoon styles have become pretty much the norm or at least incredibly common in most other forms of indie entertainment (TTRPGs, videogames, comics, animation, even miniature wargames). How comes it remains a relatively rare style to find in board games, an industry that operates almost entirely in the form of independent creators and small studios? How comes it still carries associations of being an art-style of games "for kids"? It was so strange when pic related came out seeing people "warning" others that even tho "it looks like a game for kids, it's actually quite difficult and heavy".

>>97850379The game you posted seems kinda neat. But why is it that everytime I see a game with beautiful art like that it's always mexicans and asian americans doing it? I KNOW western whites can draw well as demonstrated by the entire french industry, and they're usually directing the art to begin with, so I don't understand why companies can never find white artists. You even get the occasional eastern European doing it. Are good western artists just too expensive?
