Does your Jumper ever use disguises, and if so, how good are they at it?

The problem with calling modern Earth low power is that it really isn't. Sure, we don't have Naruto or Goku running around but we do have chemical weapons, biological weapons, nuclear weapons, tanks, jets, hypersonic missiles, tons of horrible diseases, potential natural disasters...

The only reason we don't consider the world that dangerous is because we don't expect to encounter any of those things regularly but even most anime characters put up against the full arsenal of real world militaries would die either to the nukes or the genetically engineered diseases.
>>
>>94757921
Jumpers only really has one disguise trick but it works pretty danm well in most worlds admittedly. Mostly because its just switching his gender with a perk and putting on a different perk. That usually slips by most people.
>>
>>94757925
Explain how modern Earth defeats Danny Phantom.
>>
In what fashion doth thy jumper season their morsels?
>>
>>94757925
Modern earth does not have magic
Canonically, magic must defeat magic in The Jackie Chan Adventures
Therefore, any villain with magical powers from the entire series can under no circumstances lose a battle with modern earth even if their magical powers are like, just shooting green fire across the street

Honestly you just need Jounin level Experience, Wind Release training, the Summoning Technique, Hashirama Cells, and implanted Sharingans. Danzo himself isn't actually very strong as a ninja. If you want to "win" as Danzo then you should prioritize not being a retarded dickweed for literally no reason. If you want to train your brainwashed child soldiers then sure, go ahead. But don't spend decades being an evil douchebag for functionally no gain and pissing off every single person in almost every village who's above the rank of Jounin.

Well, if I add half of anons roll to yours, you end up with sixty three. We probably chat amicably at parties (what ones Quavinse bothers to attend) or perhaps at the water cooler every so often, but I wouldn't call us exceptionally close.
>>
>>94755187
>Are there any jumps with extremely long timelines I can fuck around in that aren't Xianxia?
If you go to the Silmarillion jump, take the Maia origin, start at the earliest point (the creation of Ea), and take The Road Goes Ever On as a drawback, you'll be there a long time.

You've got 33,537 years before the Years of the Trees even start, when the world's still being built.

There's overlap in the Years of the Trees and the First age, but I did the math so you don't have to.

All the Years of the Trees and Years of the sun up till the end of the Second Age when Isildur cut's the ring off Sauron's finger (the end point for that stay longer drawback you took), then you've got another 5,531 years.

So the maximum length you can stick around in the Silmarillion jump is 39,068 years.

Chainbutt: You get a chain, but you have a fishing theme; your first jump must be Dredge or Subnautica, the one you don't pick must be your tenth jump, and across your whole chain you must take any perks and items that could contribute to going fishing.
>>
>>94758092
I can accept this. I'll take subnautica for my first Jump and spend a decade in a alien ocean world making my habitat dream home talking to whatever wilson equivalent I eventually end up cooking up.

That was a different jumper, Solar Elf jumper hasn’t gone to Spirits. Of course I still have very good Bureaucracy thanks to charms, so maybe the real path to friendship with Quavinse is to take care of all the paperwork you don’t want to do, which is probably all of it.

I mean, since Subnautica is a gauntlet, you're kinda in a decent position, sans the very likely chance you're gonna die. Doesn't actually cost you anything.

>>
>>94758145
Dredge is a gauntlet too, and it doesn't have an all-pervasive lethal disease in the water that you need to cure. As long as you don't go fishing at night or call forth any of the eldritch gods, you can actually survive it pretty easily.

You pretty much just go for it. Make a build, write out what you did in a given jump (many people don't even do that much) and move on to the next. Traditionally your first jump should be Pokemon Trainer, but really your first jump can be whatever you want. Either before or after the first Jump, you should do a build for the Bodymod and Cosmic Warehouse supplements. Those can be found in the Quicksilver folder in the Drive. However, people have made various substitutes for those that can be found in the Supplements folder in the drive.

Once you're ready to end your Jump, just seek out one of the Jumps with an "endjump" scenario and use that to punctuate the end of your chain.

The original creator has been gone for a long time. Over time people have started to disagree with more and more of their rulings, so it's pretty normal to pick and choose which of the official "rules" apply to your chain.

I am conflicted. In settings where you have a random teenager with powers defending a city, should jumper step in and help them? Their fighting normally ends with them becoming stronger through tough battles to one day save the world. Would jumper's aid ruin their potential?

If you are strong enough to deal with the long term threat just nip it in the bud so they don't have to, play mentor, or help out how you can. For the love of god DO NOT rely on the fucking plot or canon unless you have shit to keep things on the rails or fate/destiny are doing fuckery.

That's not a bad assumption, but Quavinse does not actually do paperwork. Mostly. She sorts it. And then probably sends it back for revision three times before signing it because dumbasses think that they can sneak things through. She is supposed to be the Maidens secretary after all, even if she ends up mostly in charge when they start playing the games of divinity.

>>94759954
There are too many jumps where interacting with the main cast will lead to a butterfly effect and derail the plot. Just imagine how far it would butterfly in DCAU. You start in 1986 and have to wait until 93 for the Joker to show up. Then all the weird stuff in JLU. You can accidentally derail the world and stop the JL from forming by fighting the wrong villain. I wonder if Batman or Superman would want to know about the future if you told them this was a childhood cartoon when you were a kid or if they would not want a paradox.

I forget the exact term, but one of the things politicians will do when trying to pass laws is they'll bundle them together. So that new tax break law has ten lines about environmental preservation slapped onto the end of it, and if you want the tax break you gotta pass the environmental stuff as well no matter how much you hate it.

Or, well, they do. Quavinse does not, and Yu Shan collectively hates her for it.

To be fair, the gods of yu shan would rather go to literally anyone else but her because she won't let them get away with jack shit that she consideres to be extraneous to their duties, and retaliates to fuckery by getting sidereals to sniff out everything they've ever done wrong in the last thousand years and demanding an accounting for all of it. So if they can get literally anyone to sign other than here, they will. There's probably a number of provisional laws that have been in place for hundreds of years that are still listed as provisional specifically because she hasn't signed off on it. They pray for her to not notice them.

Fun fact - fourty four of the american states have their govenors with this power. The president does not, however, as it was deemed unconstitutional. Good thing that doesn't apply to Quavinse.

From the first episode the alien invasion started in 97 when humans woke them up on Mars. I do not know how big Superman was at that time. I do know he rescued Kara in 98 or 99. The other members were also new to being heroes. Iirc Hawkgirl was only active for five years or so.
But I do like the idea of getting them all together sooner. No idea if it would work without a world threat. It might cause Hawkgirl's people to sow up sooner.
>>
>>94760377
>No idea if it would work without a world threat
STaS had multiple world threats - Brainiac, those two Kryptonians from the phantom zone, Darkseid, Superman himself at the end (although proposing Superman be in a superhero group after being seen leading an invasion of Earth is probably a bad look).
>>
>>94760396
There are just constant world threats. I suppose I could start networking to bring them together. Wonder Woman might he harder to convince. And Green Lanturn might be a bit hard to contact. The rest should be doable as long as jumper doesn't take the "be a wanted villain" drawback. That might make people not trust him. But there just aren't that many good drawbacks in Superman TAS.

It’s noted that not being corrupt in Yu-Shan will have people looking down on you, so I could see some mortals who become gods appreciating Quavinse and wanting to work under her.

>There's probably a number of provisional laws that have been in place for hundreds of years that are still listed as provisional specifically because she hasn't signed off on it. They pray for her to not notice them.
I’m reminded of that old story of how, at the start of World War 2, someone in the US government went to a high ranking official (I think it was the President but I don’t remember) and asked that some temporary buildings be put up to help handle the workflow that would be generated. In response the official took the person over to the window and pointed to the temporary buildings that were put up to help handle the workflow at the start of World War 1.

>Good thing that doesn't apply to Quavinse.
And because you’re an Incarnae, the only person who outranks you is the Unconquered Sun. Anyone with enough authority to complain to the UCS about you is not going to be stupid enough to do that.

You know, that gives me a funny mental image. Picture this.

In yu shan, there is a particularly corrupt god. Perhaps even a god of bribery. He does very little work himself, for there are always people willing to take bribes from him or to give them to him. He also takes regular vacations down to the mortal realm, spending time away from the office with women and wine. Perhaps he even has a house down there on a beach somewhere. Eventually, inevitably, he has some children with the women he demands service him. And, eventually, one of those children makes something of themselves. They break past the mortal limit and reach essence 4, becoming a god themselves. However, they are no schemer. No politician, no manipulator. They are a warrior, a meathead. He doesn't disown them or anything, but he provides them no assistance either. Still, they end up with a job in Yu Shan. Predictably, it goes terribly for them. They accidentally insult someone they needed a favor from by not bringing a bottle of wine. Perhaps they break into a party chasing a signature, only to get thrown out. Time passes and things continue to not go well for them. After months, they finally get all the paperwork they need for their first official act as a god together, and goes to Quavinse to get it signed, to give him permission to actually intervene on behalf of the ones who prayed for it. A dozen lesser gods crowd around the door and start placing bets on if he'll cry when turned down, or if she'll outright throw him out of her office. Instead, she reads it over and signs it, telling him good job.

He is the god of not taking bribes, and he is probably Quavinse's new favorite person.

And if they did fire you, there’s a good chance Luna would hire you.

>Tomorrow, maybe. I was thinking Subdued Echo getting infodumped about the great curse for the next thing I write.
While not as spectacular as Yu-Shan’s reaction, Echo’s going to be very worried. I remember seeing it suggested that it would be possible to create a charm that overrides the Great Curse and forces Limit venting back to its proper form, and until Autochthon is available to take a look that’s probably the only fix.

If you're looking to recruit a green lantern in the DCAU you can get Kyle Rayner. He first showed up in Superman TAS when Sinestro showed up to Earth and he and Superman worked together to defeat Sinestro. From a timeline perspective this would have needed to be at least a few years prior to Jon Stewart ever being selected for joining the GLC and we know that he canonically spent like 4 or 5 years in training and off-world before coming back. It's easy to forget about Rayner because iirc that's the only time he shows up but he's canon to the DCAU and shows up much *much* earlier than Stewart does.

The "human world" of Toriko is our world + some even bigger continents and then outside of it is the "gourmet world" which has a bunch of even more fuck-huge continents where humans basically can't go because everything in the gourmet world is super powerful by comparison. Slow going but new item for Rogue Trader (Owlcat)
>Forcefield Generator (200): Those of sufficiently high standing within the Imperium of Man might receive the honor of gaining a personal force field device to protect them against threats that mere armor even in great quality and thickness would fail to resist. While capable of blocking multiple blows from anti-armor weaponry this shield device will eventually fail and need to be recharged before it can continue to protect you, though it would appear that this particular model does so immediately outside of combat. This piece of advanced protective equipment could be obtained as a device to hang on your waist, a piece of jewelry, an ornament attached to your armor, or whatever form that you prefer. By default, this device is a Refractor or Conversion Field but as a Rogue Trader is entitled to obtain and utilize Xenos technologies barred to any other Imperial you might instead obtain one of their defensive devices instead; some of them offer serious advantages but these tend to come with tradeoffs compared to Human technology, the Drukhari Shadow Field for instance is extremely unpredictable and can either render the user impervious for an entire long running battle or fail immediately against the very first shot of a fight.

So, Update. Working on Foster's Home Jump. Going to have different price levels for different types of powers or abilities for imaginary friends.
Now, we know that some Friends are composite beings, but how much should it cost to have that abity should you think?
For context:
>100: improved senses, being tasty, extra eyes, and having a built-in tool or item.
>200: Stretchiness, being extra tall or short,, being able to project or create some kind of harmless substance like mashed potatoes.
>400: Super strength, flight, elemental manipulation/powers, etc
>600: Invulnerability, personal time-travel, Coco's Egg Creation, ability to emit or create dangerous items/substances like the Extremasaurs bombs, and World's possession ability.
I should also mention that Imaginary Friend powers aren't inherently discounted, but you can exchange one of your normal perk discounts to get a discount on a power of the same cost.

>>94760718
Yes, but once you have that you need nothing else, Meruem is such a prodigy in everything, learning in hour to effortlessly defeat the best in the world at their specialty, being stronger than Netero in days and still evolving, that I really strain my imagination to think a possibility where he's not the OTB.
mentioning the dark continent stuff isn't too convincing, as we don't know well how it works, and Killua never offered it as a possibility to defeat the chimera ant.
>>
>>94761175
The jump assumes you will take on the role of the protagonist (the von Valancius heir) and you get the player ship (an unusually powerful frigate size ship), if you take a certain +0 to opt out of that you instead get a more normal frigate. You get to keep it either way.

Haven't gotten to the Warrant yet so I'm not sure how I'll handle it.

The OTB is to be a Zoldyck like Killua with a backstory similar to his and then go ask Nanika for anything you want.
>Killua never offered it as an option to defeat the Chimera Ants
Yeah, because
1. The character didn't exist yet
2. He was brainwashed by his family and only recently worked up the courage to fully defy them
3. It's possible he'd need to get close due to the rules about nen and range and he wouldn't want to put his little sister in danger.

I meant the 1200 perk, if it costs CP to be a Chimera Ant and it is exclusive to them like anon said then getting that perk costs 1200 CP + whatever it costs to be a Chimera Ant. However I don't think Psycho ever confirmed that so probably just worrying about nothing.

You think a True Dragon in Forgotten Realms who can cast Cleric Spells as Arcane Spells, could use Miracle?
https://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/miracle.htm

It's essentially the Cleric version of Wish, but doesen't cost xp to replicate lesser spells, but its powered by the divine force that clerics tap into, so I am not sure if a Dragon could even replicate it through arcane means.

I' not so sure about that. There are some absolutely busted charms for various exalt types in EvWoD, it's just that the balancing factor is that exalts have way fewer motes of essence to spend and take even longer to recover them once used. If you didn't have that issue, say on account of having been to an exalted jump previously and thus having a much larger mote pool to draw on, then you'd have access to those powerful charms without the essence limit holding you back from really abusing them.

The chimera ants are kinda like a microcosm of humanity, I think. They start out as primitive and animalistic, then get a bit more personality. Then they splinter off into tribes but are still incredibly hostile and warlike, and they eventually get to the point where they place value in things like loved ones and even loving the greater whole of humanity but ultimately still want to use war to achieve these grand idealistic visions through violence. Then finally, only when it's too late and they're already doomed, they realize that all they really needed was love and to enjoy life for what it is.

Not ever dragon has the ability to cast divine spells as arcane so presumably the few that can (reds for example have the ability) cast divine as arcane don't need gods to cast divine magic spells regardless of how those spells would normally work. They are, in effect, naturally occurring ur-priests. Worst comes to worst if you're worried about it there's a perk in the Pathfinder jump called No Gods No Kings that definitively would allow you to cast miracle without needing the intervention of a God.

I was mostly doubtful because miracle isn't like most divine spells where after its prepared it just acts like any other spells.
Like with a Heal spell a cleric doesn't request someone to be healed by a god, they get the heal spell granted to themselves when they pray for it and then can use it however they want throughout the day.
With Miracle the actual spell effect is asking the god/divine force to directly intervene.
So I am sitll not sure how that would work for a Dragon. Like maybe they'd appeal to Bahamut/Tiamat instead?

A chimera ant queen combines a bunch of organisms in each individual ant she creates. We're talking Infinite Fusion level bullshit with a lot more than 2 combinations.

The closest example would be Mirrage Mewto

>>
>>94761902
nta, but lots of True Dragons can cast Arcane, Divine and a number of domain spells as spells cast by a Sorcerer.

the main disadvantage they have is that they have a pretty hard limit on how many spells they can know. Like even with their magical abilities maxed out, a Dragon will only be able to know 3 level 8 and 3 level 9 spells max, while a Sorcerer or Cleric of high level can know pretty much all avaiable to their class.

Thats why I as the original Anon was considering Miracle, since it lets you replicate every spell below level 9/8(depending on divine or arcane).

Digimon Frontir got the Digimon Trailmon
>All Aboard! (200CP): You’ve earned yourself the personal friendship of a trailmon is worth its weight in gold, and you won’t find yourself regretting this purchase. Trailmon are a fascinating subtype of digimon possessing some impressive diversity; each one being a fully sentient train engine that can spread their influence to all the cars connected to them. While they’re lacking in offensive power, they serve as the premier method of long distance travel thanks to the speed and safety they provide; such that a one way trailmon ticket could be considered quite the lofty prize.
However their greatest boon is the ability to go wherever they which, so long as they have a set of tracks to follow; making trips through outer space or across dimensions as safe as any other route they might follow.
>Now normally, this would also be it’s greatest weakness as it’d be wholly dependent on a set of tracks for it’s mobility; but this one seems to have developed a way to produce its own temporary tracks while moving about. Sadly, it hasn’t worked out the trick to dimensional travel yet; but if you can find a usable route it’ll get you to the other side in a jiffy.

While currently unfluffed apart from one Rogue Trader Owlcat currently has planned two Eldar companions (A Deldar Wych waifu and a Warlock waifu), one space marine (Blood Ravens Librarian, don't ask where he gets the loot he keeps giving you after missions), and seven humans based on the character origins (IG commander, Commissar, Crime Lord, Priest, Navy Officer, Noble, and Psyker).

Are any more needed?

>The fluffed one
>Stranded Succubus (50): The hidden Dark City of the Drukhari is a brutal place, constant power struggles and subversive result in rapid rises which so often lead to just as sudden falls. This rather young, by Eldar standards, Wych was able to climb to the peak of her Wych Cult due to her talent and skill at arms only to fall suddenly as her cult was destroyed by rivals and their Kabalite sponsors before they could become any more of a threat. Having fled Commorragh she’s in an exceptionally vulnerable position and found herself relying on you after you saved her from her pursuers, somehow just being around you slows the drain on her soul and combined with her relative youth allows her to sustain herself with just the suffering from an occasional enemy rather than needing large amounts of extreme torture. Interestingly she greatly enjoys being treated as your ‘xenos pet’ and being punished for generally acting like a particularly scary cat, apart from the deeply familiar degeneracy on the surface the root of these interests of hers are a mystery as her feelings toward you are wholly and completely foreign to her life up to this point.

Arks are technological space habitats built to rebuild earths ecosystems in a controlled environment after the earth was destroyed by a hazardous material from space (a spreading but very high energy element that mutates creatures around it) the humans built the arks and a ship to live on and try to fix earth at some point and decided "well if we are building earth in space lets populate it with dinosaurs and crazy genetic experiments" as well as humans. But they wanted to keep humanity to a lower tech level to avoid damage to the arks (ironic since they implanted memories from people all throughout history) so the arks seem like fully self contained biospheres and until you try to leave. They are really a crucible to try and grow the perfect human candidates to survive and fix earth and are largely run by either rampant ai or ascended human energy beings who keep respawning you in particular to try and get someone tough enough to go back to earth, build a sheild to prevent asteroid damage, and create either giant mechs or a dinosaur army to kill the mutated titans roaming the planet. Each ark has a theme, some have multiple biomes, my favorite is scorched earth. A desert biome.

I disagree. A jump only needs to be long enough to properly represent the source material. This isn't a Chinese publishing house we aren't getting paid by the page there's no reason to pad it out with meaningless cruft. Length is not always an indicator of quality. I will freely admit my jump wasn't exactly great, but I don't think trying to make it larger would have improved it. Length for lengths sake means nothing.

If however you, or the anon who originally remarked that it felt to small assuming you were not the original poster, felt that there was something from the movie which was not represented in the jump I'm happy to discuss potential updates. I won't promise anything, but if you can make a good case that I failed to represent something important in the film which you want to be included from the jump I can see about expanding it.

Make an expy of her in Kengan maybe? Or street fighter? As for the plot of FF7 Sephiroth went crazy a number of years prior to the start of the game, Cloud was kidnapped and thanks to experimentation by Professor Hojo incorrectly believes that he is Zack, a SOLDIER 1st class that he was friends with and was kidnapped and experimented alongside. For some reason Tifa never questions Cloud's recollections of events even though she explicitly knows better.

Barret, Tifa and some others are part of an eco-terrorist group known as Avalanche but are explicitly part of a much more hardcore than usual cell that is totally willing to just straight up kill people and bomb civil infrastructure. Cloud ends up joining them as muscle, shit happens and they escape from Midgar. Eventually they discover Sephiroth has basically been dead for years and his spirit is effectively possessing people that share Jenova cells (effectively everyone that was part of the SOLDIER program, or experimented on like Cloud) and they end up confronting him in the Northern Crater. An earlier sacrifice by Aerith allowed for the use of the super magic known as Holy to counteract Meteor (cast by Sephiroth using the black materia) and thus saving the planet from destruction. Other stuff happens afterwards in side materials but most FF7 side stuff is bad and should be disregarded.

Worth noting is that in the remake the bombs that Avalanche used in the mako reactors explicitly failed to do anything and weren't remotely strong enough to even crack the casing on the reactors, much less blow them up. As a result in the Remake it is very explicitly Shrina itself that blew up the reactors, when Avalanche's bombs failed, in order to give themselves the pretext to put the blame on Wutai and Avalanche in order to stir up fear in the populace so they could push forward certain political goals, incidentally this also means everyone that died from the bombings were dead because of Shrina

Not to blow my own horn or anything but yeah, AoA is a good choice for someone who only has surface-level knowledge of FF7. The original quest simplifies things a lot by putting the main plot on hold and focusing completely on Midgar and Avalanche vs Shinra.

Sororitas OC.
>Sister Catalina (100): Despite repeated tests clearly showing that she very much is not a psyker this warrior of Sororitas possesses significantly more tangible and reliable powers borne from faith than normal even by the blessed standards of her of her fellow Sisters of Battle. Able to heal with a prayer, banish daemons with hymns, and enact a wide variety of holy miracles in the Emperor’s name through her faith in a manner some might mistake for witchcraft. Despite her holy powers and perhaps unsettling enjoyment of blowing apart the enemies of humanity with her boltgun Catalina is in fact an extremely friendly and perhaps even bubbly individual, able to get along with just about much anybody who isn’t corrupted by the Archenemy; though she is very skeptical of befriending xenos even under circumstances sanctioned by a Rogue Trader’s Warrant, even that’s unusually open minded by Ministorum standards however. The good sister received a vision suggesting an opportunity to help guide a future hero of mankind toward a more glorious path as compared to certain questionable choices made by their predecessor, as it was the Emperor who sent her to you she believes it her divinely mandated duty to serve, protect, and advise you in His name.

I felt the same way for a long time but one of the nice things about Linux is that it's extremely easy to dip your toes in the water without committing to it. I jumped straight to reimaging an old laptop to try it out but you can also just put the OS on a USB stick and take it for a test drive before you decide to install it.

I've been liking Mint because the GUI feels very similar to Windows, just without all the bloatware and corporate BS that's in Win11. While there's also a lot of missing features, that's because a basic Linux OS is designed to be a highly customizable base for you to build on with the mountains upon mountains of features and add-ons that other Linux users have made over the years.

TLDR, I highly encourage you to give it a shot and if you have a spare USB stick lying around you can do it right now. It's that easy.

Going to second the recommendation of Linux Mint. As a derivative of Ubuntu, sans the ongoing Snap controversy, there's a lot of discussion on common questions and problems which pops up readily on search engines.
If you're going to get into gaming or windows programs, you'll need to do more setup. Possibly a lot more. I recommend looking up GloriousEggroll's work (https://github.com/GloriousEggroll) if stock Wine and Proton aren't meeting your needs.

Not. Not at all. Pretty much everyone chips in on protecting Exodites.

I found a mod that adds language barriers to the Sims 4, so I added them as a drawback to the jump. Does anyone have any objections or feedback?

Also, EYouchen, in case you're serious about taking down your repost if the jumpmaker complains about it and you happen to see this; I do, in fact, have complaints.

But I finished my writeup for APGTE already, and am later on in my chain. I like to write up builds for my chain ahead of time, so I've got loads of builds already filled out-but that one was a replacement for a different jump that didn't work out, so TECHNICALLY it comes first.

The CURRENT build I'm writing for is this.

Someone on Reddit. Reposted my jump. I asked him to take it down, and it's still up, so I'm asking as OverwhelmingAnon, in case he want's it to be unambiguously me. Not that I really expect much at this point, to be clear, but it's the principle of the thing.
>>
Does your jumper have a right-hand man or maybe a pair of bumbling henchmen to monologue at?
>>
>>94763310
It's the one for Craftworld Eldar that's eight posts above yours.
>>
>>94763317
Not... really? I mean, Biel-Tan as a Craftworld basically does the same thing. Maybe not quite as zealously as it being their only thing, but it's up there.
>>
>>94763317
Not particularly, no. Craftworld eldar are renowned for obsessive fixation, and that build outright has you getting lost on a path which means getting obsessively fixated on certain things to a degree beyond even the vast majority of other craftworld eldar.

Absolutely none of the craftworld or exodite eldar would raise an eyebrow at you running around in a manic frenzy to give aid to exodite worlds.
>>
We need a new Craftworld jump; specifically one where you can spread the ideology of Iyanden, "Don't be a massive dick all the time".

Kara no Kyoukai offers a magical workshop that can take the form of a building like that if you want to.
>Living Workshop- 600
>A workshop to make any Magus peer of yours jealous but combined with something much more valuable, at least to the less scrupulous Magi. You own a sizeable building, likely a large apartment complex or mansion or mall of some kind. The main requirement is that it has space for a large number of people to live, or at least be stored. This is because that is the case, with up to 64 families living in the location at once. If they are not kept as cattle outright, the people here will be none the wiser as to what is going on. With the many secret rooms present in the building, it’s easy to hide whatever you desire to do to them, and the building itself has some sort of effect that makes any resident extremely reluctant to leave and very easy to mould as you please.
>But the second and more valuable step to this is that the entire structure is your workshop as a Magus. The most immediate effect is that, due to incredibly unique enchantments and links to you, you are able to instantly teleport anywhere within the building and retain a near-omniscient awareness of all space and events within it. In at least one of the secret rooms of the building, if not several, you will find a fully equipped Magus Workshop of great value to a Magus of your skill and specific specialties. The tools, reagents, materials, peer research if any exists and more will be found.
This isn't even far fetched as we kno wof a mage in setting who owns a mall and uses magecraft to provide security and attract customers.

since people have been talking about this I feel it's worth mentioning that HxH is canon to the Sailor Moon setting (sort of). There's a panel in the official manga for Sailor Moon where the girls are together for a study group at Usagi's house and Venus is going through her manga and the talk about how good the one she's looking at is and the cover is for HxH. As a result the HxH manga itself is canon to the Sailor Moon setting, and presumably so is Yu Yu Hakosho since it was written by the same author.

Fair point. That was careless. I didn't really think of that as poor grammar so much as laziness while phone posting, but I suppose that is a grammatical error. I thought he was gonna hit me with some deep cut punctuation error or something and got me excited to learn an obscure rule, but if it's just that I messed up the proper noun cause I was lazy that's much less exciting.
>>
>>94763478
Well, it's only a single item, so you'd need a way to duplicate it, but the Eternal Rose item from the Elric Saga jump is kind of like a benevolent phylactery; it lets you put someone you love's soul into it, rendering them immune to anything that would harm their soul; even and explicitly Chaos Gods (Elric is where the inspiration for warhammer's chaos gods comes from, so it's absolutely comparable).

It's better than their soul gems, since those are worn with the hope that if they're killed it'll catch their soul so Slaanesh can't get it, while with the Rose the soul is removed without negatively affecting them. Plus, if they die while their soul is in the rose, you can take it to the place of their death and it'll resurrect them as a 1-Up.

Jumper ended up going to war against the Gnomes. And Dwarves. And Dark Elves. And Normal Elves. Not the Gigants though, they were fairly chill all told. Said wars ended up mostly just dragging Jumper's attention away from Calernia (the continent the story takes place on) mostly as a matter of practicality, so Jumper never really got involved in the story there. They DID end up doing Science to a number of mystical energies and phenomenon in order to create Knockoff Sword Logic (Deep Night), which is becoming more and more a staple of my Jumper's toolkit.

I've been consoooming 40k content and so I wanna go to the Primarch jump, but I'm really not a fan of the whole legion thing. So what's a good reason for me not having any? My default option right now is just saying they all got killed by a random warp storm or something.
>>

>>
>>94763589
Just have a small one and have them on guard duty around Terra while you go around adventuring.
>>
>>94763589
You're gonna have a legion no matter what. Even if they all died, you'd get made a new one to lead. In the Great Crusade, the space marine legions were the armies actually conquering worlds, and the Imperial Army were the ones that then garrisoned those worlds. And the primarchs were the ones leading the conquering expedition fleets.

That's the cost. If you want to be a primarch, you have to lead a legion; if you don't want to lead a legion, don't become a primarch.
>>
>>94763605
Psycho xenophobes who are utterly obsessed with purity and also were all cursed to sterility due to murdering an entire forest's worth of people and settling in said forest. They have some weird language that works via microexpressions so they can communicate with each other silently while everyone else thinks they're just standing there like golems. They also have another special language for elves only that they become psychotically protective of, to the point that the mere THREAT of a non-elf speaking it is enough to force them to "sully themselves" into using common language. As a matter of course they kill anyone who doesn't have a Name who even dares to approach their forest, and only avoid killing Named for the sake of telling them to fuck off.

Fun fact: they're not actually the main elf kingdom, but instead a xenophobe purity-obsessed splinter that left the main elf empire and settled in Calernia to circlejerk their purity with each other. The main elf empire is presumably much more rational and reasonable, evidenced by the fact that they're like three times the size of Calernia and have plenty of half-elf citizens.
>>
>>94763617
>Just have a small one and have them on guard duty around Terra while you go around adventuring.
Also a decent option.

Nuh uh, I will not get scammed out of my seed.

Actually, now that I think about it, it's probably best to say that the emperor used his brain cells for once and made a primarch whose purpose it is to just sit at home and build/administer stuff, who doesn't need a legion. Really, all the tech primarchs were fully wasted.
>>
>>94763478
I think if you had a way to cut sympathetic connections you could just cut the claim Slaanesh has on their soul.
>>
>>94763559
Congratulations, you have killed the gnomes. Now all the horrible people in APGTE can make torture tech in addition to their torture magic, and ruin the rest of the planet (and possibly the universe, if that exists and the setting isn't just the planet/plane).

>>94761175
The Warrant option in the items section.
>Warrant of Trade (Free): Signed in blood by the Emperor of Mankind himself is this holy document giving you and your dynasty extraordinary rights beyond any other citizen of the Imperium, while it is quite large with both flowery and bureaucratic language used the entire thing can be summarized simple as “By the Will of the Emperor I Can Do What I Want” with the only imperial laws truly binding a full Rogue Trader being those regarding treason and tax evasion, with both requiring serious violations before the only ones really able to enforce them on you will be wanting to do so. In future worlds you will retain this degree of freedom and independence despite the likely diminished value of a piece of paper with His blood on it by the standards of other settings, though keep in mind that being able to legally get away with something is not the same thing as your rivals and peers being willing to let you get away with it.

Yeah, that sounds like how things in APGTE tend to go.

I have a wonderfully stupid question. The type of question that would only be relevant here.

Could someone who had been to Overlord taken level 100 as a generalist as well as Realm of Heroes. who also had the physical power innate talent and a werecreature race defeat Miya from Sekirei. Miya cut a battleship in half that was quite a ways a way with one swing and just I guess the air pressure. Casters in Overlord can kill 70k people as a cost and I assume the other classes can do crazy shit too. So if they fought who wins?
>>
>>94763802

>>94763831

>>
>>94763831

>>
>>94763637
in fairness the primarch's getting whisked away to random worlds and then needing to be found kind of wasn't in the plan on how the Emperor was planning to employ them. That said the idea that Emp's made a primarch specifically for the purposes of leadership and handling the bureaucracy of the empire while he was out leading the crusade does make at least some sense for why a primarch wouldn't have a legion, since said primarch would instead basically be in charge of Terra's own defensive force.

>>94763814
I am not familiar with Sekirei, but looking at her wiki entry they say that her fighting against a peer could destroy half of tokyo, that kind of scale is above what most of Overlord could do, though you may have hax stuff that defeats her more easily.
Also you should probably outspeed her by a lot. Worth noting that even people with level in their 30s can deflect bullets and you're way faster than that.
Could you elaborate what classes you took and if you took the generalist capstone?
>>
>>94763692
The saddest thing about APGTE elves is that they're actually pretty damn cool. Normal elves are immortal, and the longer they live the stronger they grow-eventually developing a power called "Assertion" which effectively lets them deny one law of reality at a time. This lets them do things like reject space to travel miles in a single step, reject solidity to turn into living mist, reject the very idea of being seen so they can be truly invisible/imperceptible, so on and so forth. They can only do one special thing at a time this way, but they can switch it fast so it's generally not an issue.
>>
>>94763814
I don't think you'd have too much trouble defeating her. She's basically just a beat-stick and presumably does not actually have any sort of answer for legit magical effects. Even if she hits really hard she really only has raw power, and while raw power can do a lot I can't see why you couldn't just cast hold person on her or something similar. Plus given the build you mentioned it'd be worth pointing out that you'd be really fast, way faster than anything ever shown in the Seikirei anime iirc and thus she'd have a hell of a time trying to actually hit you. Plus iirc werecreatures explicitly have high speed regeneration and pretty decent damage reduction against anything that isn't magical silver and I'm pretty sure the weapons she uses are neither magical nor silver, and lvl 100 Overlord characters can take some pretty absurd levels of damage and keep trucking.
>>
>>94763910
Why is Yuji sneaking off with that pizza? Did he steal it?
>>
>>94763910
That's more of a plausibly deniable cameo, like how over in Marvel, Peni Parker's classmates include the EVA pilots. Now, if we see someone reading a volume of JJK in DC or hear them compare something to it, like how Batman has clearly read Sailor Moon and that's how he sussed out Martian Manhunter's disguise that one time, then we'd have a "this property exists here."
>>
>>94763913
It's actually not my Jumper but a companion. She went bard and took skillful Acquisition and skillful and resourceful. Yes, absolutely. If the Emperor walked on a planet once, that entire planet is converted into a shrineworld. A document granting privileges and responsibilities to people that he personally drafted and signed? That's not just a pierce of parchment, it's one of the holiest objects in the Imperium.
>>
>>94763802
I remember that one anon from a while back mentioning that they had to rethink their MCU write-up because they showed up with Sailor Moon as a companion only to realize that basically everyone in the MCU would immediately recognize who she was.
>>
>>94763912
>So this is a Writ of Trade personally signed and created by the Emperor and not one of the Primarch's? Does that increase its relative value compared to the Primarch writ's?
All of the Warrants of Trade are written in the Emperor's name, it doesn't really make them any less powerful legally if it was signed by a Primarch, High Lord of Terra, etc. in his name but having one of the earliest Warrants with the Emperor's blood on the paper does add a considerable amount of religious significance and prestige to the thing even if the legal rights it grants are the same.

Take Freak of Nature experience and then focus on the perks for stuff like strategy ploting and intelligence.
I'd probably make something like this
Naruto - Val & Bee version jump
NP:1000
Age: 68

Experience [S-Rank] [500]

I also threw Ninshu in there, because why not, and you can probably use the connecting to the hearts of others thing to manipulate people better.

This is 600CP over budget, as I dont know what drawbacks you're okay with I leave those up to you. Personally I'd probably take ninja loser for one discipline and Fanatic and Dark Past. But you can also go all out on bounties if you want to.

You know the funny thing that the doc never tells you? Being a Named is just objectively better. Yes, Elves get Assertion. But Named can also do that, and even do it better depending on their Aspects and level of willpower/autism.
Laurence had the "Decree" Aspect in her Name, which let her Decree certain things to be truth/reality, not unlike an Elf's Assertion. She used this to make the Decree "Laurence De Montfort is a sword". This made it so her bones are strong as metal, she doesn't need to breathe, gave her poison immunity, and let her cut anything she wanted with just a touch. Other Aspects can also be used in similar ways once you Git Gud enough with them, but more powerful Aspects do it much more easily.

The fundamental ability behind this trick is called a "Domain", which is basically a personal reality that people can develop. Elves develop an "Internal Domain" that lets them warp the laws of reality in limited ways that specifically apply to them. Named can form full Domains, which are basically like Reality Marbles-or internalize them for Assertion-like abilities. Gods get even more OP Domains that let them shape reality to their liking in much more freeform ways.

Jumper basically starts in hell surrounded by an army of demons, but he's a high level Dragon with a Sorcerer Caster level equal to 22 capable of casting sorcerer and cleric spells. Which makes defeating them comparibly easy.

Haven't fully decided yet which spells he should know other than Miracle and Time Stop.

Nta but even without knowing that I...kind of assumed that was the case already? It's literally like the difference between being a PC and NPC, metaphysically
>>
>>94764003
>>94764032
Incidentally, this fact is part of why Elves are forced to be """""diplomatic""""" with Named. Yes, Elves are scary and have crazy powers-but when it comes down to it Named are STILL just better than Elves AND have the power of Fate/the narrative on their side. The other issue is that the Calernian elves are sterile (with each other); every single elf that dies is essentially a PERMANENT loss for their population, meaning they only ever want to take fights they're sure they can win with minimal losses. So Nameless? Compulsory executions. Named? TRY to """negotiate""" with them. Named that they can't actually """negotiate""" with? Retreat to Arcadia (the land of the fae) where nobody can attack them!
>>94764106
Fair enough, but it bore elaborating because the Elves kinda break that rule a little with Assertion, which is explicitly a power that is equal to certain Named Aspects.
>>
>>94764032
>You know the funny thing that the doc never tells you? Being a Named is just objectively better.
Yeah, that was the general idea I got.

Presumably this comes with the ability to control in what ways she was a sword, there are all kinds of ways such a decree could have gone wrong.
>>
>>94764120
>Incidentally, this fact is part of why Elves are forced to be """""diplomatic""""" with Named. Yes, Elves are scary and have crazy powers-but when it comes down to it Named are STILL just better than Elves AND have the power of Fate/the narrative on their side.

>>
>>94764122
>Presumably this comes with the ability to control in what ways she was a sword, there are all kinds of ways such a decree could have gone wrong.
Presumably yes. Incidental note; Laurence was defeated not through battle, but via old age. Specifically Catherine utilized an artifact that sped up the passage of time for herself and Laurence. Evil Names grant immortality as part of their base benefits, so Catherine was totally fine and walked it off. Good Names don't have that benefit, and Laurence was already old as hell at the time, so she just ended up croaking from it.
>>94764139
Yes. Yes they would. The existing half-elf Named already gets constant elf assassins sent after her because the elves are salty as all hell about her existence; elves are sterile WITH EACH OTHER, but if they leave the forest they live in and do it with a human, they can have children. Still have notably low fertility mind you, but it's better than nothing.

>>

>>
>>94764171
We can discuss APGTE without making a jump for it, we already have a jump for it after all.
>>
>>94764158
And by what you’ve said, main kingdom elves aren’t sterile and are much more reasonable, which by itself would cause more salt then exists in the entire history of 4chan.
>>
>>94764191
Yeah. The Calernian elves are already like 40% salt by volume purely because of their own actions and culture. A single main kingdom Named elf who isn't particularly stuck up and (gasp!) has actual visible emotions visiting Calernia would likely double their collective salt content.
>>
>>94763589
Chaos Gods stole them all, and they all died in the Warp or something
>>
>>94764191
>>94764211
That said-Calernian elves DO have ONE advantage over main kingdom elves. Pureblood elves are immortal, while half-elves are only extremely long-lived. It takes more than 1000 years for an Elf to develop Assertion, and most half-elves don't live that long. By population percentage, the Calernian elves have more Verdant Blades (Elves capable of Assertion) than the main kingdom elves who aren't as autistic about keeping the blood pure.

...this is countered by the main elf kingdom being stupid-larger than the Calernian splinter, so they probably have many times the actual number of Verdant Blades-probably enough to outnumber the entire population of the Calernian elves. But still.

Could someone explain to me WHY synths are a thing in Fallout 4? Just...for what reason? There is no practical purpose for them. The institute has no REASON to make them a thing, they have nothing to gain from playing merry hell on the Commonwealth. Nothing they do cannot be done better by a purpose-built robot or machine. The literal only thing they provide is a clear-cut issue to make the Institute the objective bad guys, which SHOULD be against their best interests!

>>
>>94764211
Meanwhile, the main kingdom elves presumably look at Calernian elves with a mixture of disgust, bafflement, and quiet gratitude at the fact that they’re not living in their kingdom.

>>94764244
And if the Calernian elves had taken a more reasonable approach and not run off, there’d be more pureblooded elves, because then they could have still had children.
>>
>>94764366
Doylist reason is "We needed a bad guy that was essentially just The Enclave but couldn't use the Enclave because we blew them up in 3."
There is no Watsonian reason that makes sense otherthan "The Institute is retarded and though having fun fucking with the Commonwealth with their own artificial Manchurian Candidates was somehow a good idea."
>>
>>94764396
There is a THEORY about why the Calernian elves are the way they are: demons. Specifically, a Demon of Corruption, which...corrupts everything around it. We saw one in APGTE, and its effects were monstrous-and even mild contact with one is enough to corrupt portions of a person's soul. Catherine even lost one of her first Name's Aspects to corruption by a Corruption Demon and had to have said Aspect surgically removed from her soul. The theory goes that in ancient times the Calernian elves had an encounter with a Corruption Demon and either fought it off or fled (likely to Calernia)-but either way were scarred SO MUCH as a people that, as a reaction to their trauma, they became utterly obsessed with purity as a way to ward off corruption. If true, the main kingdom elves would likely llook at them with a mixture of disgust, pity, and quiet gratitude, rather than bafflement. We can't say for sure this is what happened though.

Disgust and quiet gratitude that those elves fucked off somewhere else is still guaranteed.
>>
>>94764366
They are the bad guys anon, but not because they are clever scheming masterminds but because they are intelligent but utterly retarded. Their main goal is not even the synths, it is to get their pre-war basement reactor running so they can be self sufficient.
>>94764394
Too late. Did you know the entire Synth stigma could have been avoided because some fucking moron let a Synth get out of the lab and it got sloshed enough it basically malfunctioned? Did you know the Institute was trying to prop UP a unified government in the Commonwealth? Did you know the entire Super Mutant population is the result of these fucking retards doing the exact same experiment for decades, knowing they aren't getting any new results but keep doing the same thing anyway? Did you know the fancy augments and shit they gave Kellogg were shelved as far as research because it was deemed against their goals of human preservation?
>>
>>94764428
Interesting. That would make sense as an explanation.
>>
>>94764366
Because they're mad scientists with unlimited resources and no sense of right and wrong.

I'm still convinced the real reason synths are a thing is because one of these fucks was bored one day, and decided to do nothing but print clones for three days. And now they're just finding whatever excuse to throw the surplus into the wasteland.

>>
>>94764488

>>
>>94764366
The original synths made sense to make as they were effectively just better designed automatons and useful for physical labor and dangerous field work. Every type of synth beyond them were just improvements right up until they started making what were effectively humans with cybernetics, at which point they tipped right into mad scientist territory.

I feel it is reasonable to say with confidence that the Institute and its leadership lived in a metaphorical bubble. They huffed their own farts and genuinely came to believe that hey knew what was best because they were the most educated, especially when compared to wastelanders, and this led to progressive levels of elitist thinking until it eventually reached the point where even the idea that someone from the outside might no better than them was all but impossible for them to consider. The only people they considered to be of any real worth or value were people from the vaults, as they considered them to be largely similar in origin and education to themselves.

That and the sunk cost fallacy of course. Like malignant narcissists they can't afford to do any sort of introspection because that would reveal to themselves that they'd fucked up and they were the problem, so instead the just project their own failings onto others and make others out to be the bad guys. It's not *their* fault the commonwealth is such a mess, it's the fault of the outsiders that just won't get with the program, completely ignoring the fact that most of the problems can be directly laid at the feet of the Institute itself with its synth nonsense, to the point that the one time the Institute tried to actually unify the commonwealth for real by bringing various different faction leaders together everyone assumed it was synth assassins that killed the leaders that showed up even though the Institute, ironically, had nothing to do with it on that particular occasion.

It's baffling how easy it is to miss this particular tidbit of lore. You'd think the Institute would be all about telling you this to help sway you to their side but apparently none of them care enough to even bring it up and you've got to, iirc, literally go into an abandoned area of the Institute and look it up on a random computer terminal. The Institute really does feel like an organization where not only does the right hand not know what the left hand is doing, and vice versa, but that they are also actively working against each other more often than not.

>>
>>94764488
The most feasible is probably a kind of full body container in a centralized location/building where you get connected to a machine that hijacks your senses for a few hours. I think Digimon World 3 worked like this.
A home-based system has numerous drawbacks, such as size, and if it is a headset kind of deal like .hack or SAO how does it keep a person connected... Plus there are safety features that would have to be included. Like what if you are in VR but there's a house fire, or someone breaks in, or there's an earthquake? The VR system would need a way to detect that and forceboot your out of it.

To clarify when I say "busted" I mean within context of the setting itself because that particular prestige class iirc lets a psion learn any power like how a wizard can learn any spell, while also still retaining access to the power point system and thus the ability to effectively cast like a (better than normal) spontaneous caster. Within the context of jumpchain as a whole though it's not that impressive and really only good for flavor or if you're really going hard specifically for psionics and nothing else.

Not now, but maybe later if I go back to it. It's for a chain in which the jumper is reincarnated into a canon character (Kiss-Shot) , and the part I wrote was her recalling her past in a fugue state before cutting to the present. Almost finished that sequence, just need to cover the train crash that was her first romantic relationship's end.

The snippet going forward from there would mostly be following the manga continuity through the events of Kizu, branching off subtly from the start and then hard when it comes to her final restoration prior to the climax. Then things get kinda complicated due to a funny middle aged lady and a largely unrelated vampire PMC.

Seeing as the Wall is not supposed to be sentient at all, you're looking at another Time of Troubles at least. Ao might have to step in more personally than ever depending on how weird it gets. >WotC
>YHVH
>(you)r DM

>>94764808
It's kind of interesting because metaphysically the Wall is doing precisely what makes it more powerful. Souls have power. Eating them is how gods sustain themselves, how certain outsiders gain ranks (even if a step removed from stripping the soul of power), theoretically the Wall doing that to enough souls for a long enough period of time should mean it's absolutely bloated with divine energy.

With great difficulty. and I mean that genuinely. His first few Jumps were basically adventures intermixed with a heavy amount of poverty/homeless simulator gameplay. He honestly had to learn a lot about living off the land or appealing to ordinary peoples better natures to get by. Gilgamesh is strong enough that when he wrestles with a combatants of somewhat superior or equal strength, them rolling on the ground flattens hills from the force. He's also in some versions up to 18 feet tall. Honestly, you more want to watch out for his speed. Dude can outrun light while running on the bottom of the ocean.
>Also is it possible kill any of the gods as well?
That depends entirely on what capabilities you have inherently and in items, whether you're doing things through purely physical means or through magic or spiritual attacks, and which god you're going after.

But, technically, yes. Now, whether you should do so practically or morally is a different question, but you can technically do so. That being said, there's a good chance they'll get resurrected if they were at all liked by their peers. Or just, spontaneously appear perfectly fine with no explanation or acknowledgement that you killed them. *grumbles about Baal and Mot*

Fun fact, we don't even know if Moloch was a real dude anyone actually worshipped. It might have been a word for the specific type of sacrifice. It might also have been a divine title/epithet ascribed to anyone from YHVH to Hadad to (insert Phoenician deitiy here). A minority even suspects it was a nonlethal rite of passage demonized as human sacrifice, but most scholars reject this.

>Student capstone allows you to learn dead knowledge faster, explicitly states it would help with magic
>One semblance allows you to create and control Grimm
>One of the weapons discounted to student is a talking Grimmoire that can replicate Grimm attacks

>>
>>94765171
Gold was not useless. Gold was the perfect metal for a medium of exchange. There's a lot of serious economic literature about this stuff, gold's very traits locked it deterministically into being a currency the minute people needed currency.

>Gold was the perfect metal for a medium of exchange
Copper and bronze would have worked just fine.
>>
>>94765207
Copper is adequate, but not good. Both copper and bronze have the issue of their reactivity and abundance. They're simultaneously too common and too likely to remove themselves from the economy over a prolonged period. Silver is substantially better than them, which is why it tended to endure a lot longer than copper for lower value transactions.
>>
>>94765103
iirc she's called the "god of chaos" in setting but in reality she's not a god. Instead she is a hero (and maybe also a dungeon core? It's been a while) that is immortal and has been around for hundreds of years and mastered all kinds of different super skills / cheat powers as a result. She likes to fuck with people for her own amusement and it's implied she's just kind of bored with the world because she's pretty much been everywhere and done everything. One of the ways she fucks with people, or at least women, is by giving them a dick. She doesn't have sex with them mind you, she just does it because she can.
>>
>>94764711

Why is it that blonde women with big boobs always wanna molest Jumper? He just wants to fish!
>>
>>94765207
The production cost to make bronze is too highfor it to work as a common currency; it requires alloying copper with tin (a valuable and fairly rare metal itself), when silver and gold just require smelting to remove impurities and then are viable to mint into currency.

Its properties are also somewhat valuable to waste in coin form, when instead that bronze could be used to fashion tools, weapons, or armor.

>>94765262
Impermanence. If your currency is seasonal and only lasts a little while before it rots, then you'll be destitute as soon as the last crop of produce expires. Money needs longevity so that it can circulate through the economy, which is why it was made of stone or metal for so long; even today, when "paper" currency sees use, it's actually made of a combination of materials to lend durability to the currency so that it lasts long enough to see circulation.

I was thinking more thematic one. Originally jumpers been more of a priest/sage but latelys drifted into god territory a bit. Hmm this is a dumb question I bit but if you take the god origin could you flavor it as being a mortal risen up to that state potentially? Might pair well with all the adventures with Inanna and ereshkigal? Might roll that in together and have it kick in during jumpers stay.
Thinking maybe Jumper starts as a priest/sage (not origin just how he starts the jump) and through circumstances befriends them and through a variety of circumstances ends up getting raised up to middling god status. Because putting in work and time even if their drawback friends probably helps pay off a little bit.

More chain writing! This time, the great curse explained live on television
My take on the history of the world is redacted to the pdf because it's fucking long and this would take eight posts minimum otherwise.

A musky storefront was her welcome. Wood paneling, imported and maintained at great cost hid rock walls. Shelves containing volume after volume of inventory reports lined the walls, interspaced with comfortable couches and chairs and the odd low end table. two wide staircases met to form the entrance, one going up to the surface and one downwards towards the underground thoroughfare. Near the center of the room was a desk. Well, more of a podium, really. Tall, and with a taller stool. Supposedly it helped whoever the door clerk was not get pushed around if people are looking up at you.

Subdued Echo had never really felt that way, but then again by her own name she was subdued. Or, had been subdued. Chejop Kejak, the monstrous old man who had offered her some training, had... not exactly demanded that she be more bold, but implied that the time for modesty had since passed. She was Exalted. Chosen of Secrets. She'd gone to heaven, met a maiden, learned to fight from the oldest of old masters, and been burdened with glorious and saddening truth about the world. And yet, here she was, back at this desk. Had anything really changed?

...Her loyalties, perhaps. She was her to spy on her former employer after all.

"Echo?"

She turned. There she was. Messier Lorraine, her boss, the biggest pain in the ass she'd ever had to deal with. The woman she was here to spy on, on behalf of the Bronze Faction.

"Good evening, miss."
"Back from Yu Shan?"
"...How did you know where I was?"
"Everyone forgot you existed. That's a side effect of a Sidereal exaltation."
“Wait, if everyone forgot I existed, how do you still remember me?”
“Magic. It helps that there's no one alive who knows as much about exaltations as I do.”
>>

“Really?”
“No. I can barely keep the castes straight.”

There’s a look of dry amusement on Messier’s face. Her hand reaches into a coin purse carried at her waist, disappearing deeper into it that should really be possible, and she pulls out another bag. One that was actually larger than the coin purse, amusingly. It gets tossed her way, and Echo catches it. …Candied nuts.

“You remembered?”
“I don’t actually consider myself to be good with people, but given a few years even I can pick up on basic patterns.”
“Heh. Thank you, miss.”
“And on that note, I assume you’re here to spy on me?”

That’s not fair, Echo hadn’t even done anything yet. Then again, the young mistress of Delise was nothing if not a genius, so she supposed it wasn’t that difficult a thing to suss out.

“...May I ask why you think that?”
“Sidereals are stupid. Especially if there’s more than two of them in a room.”
“That sounds like a story.”
“Eh, not really. How much do you know about the way things used to be?”
“Chejop told me about the Usurpation, but not in any great detail.”
“Ketchup Carjack himself gave you lessons, huh? Nice. But nothing about, say, the primordial war?”
“No, miss.”
“Hmm. Well, take a seat, I can tell a story.”

- - - - -

“Ketchup Carjack? Really?”
“The woman is frighteningly well informed. Quite irreverent, however. To mispronounce my name so...”

- - - - -

Redacted story, see pdf

“How much of that is true and how much of that is story?”
“Enough. It’s not like I was there or anything, but in broad strokes…”
“You’re terrifying.”
“...Anyways, the moral of the story? Don’t rely on other Sidereals if you can help it.”
>>
>>94765407
Far far away, a few thousand gods sat around pools of water, before vast mirrors, in front of raging fires, or above pits of sand and dust. All of these things were methods of divination. Ways of looking at the world from afar. All of them were aimed at the same girl, the same mortal. Some days it seemed like she was the most interesting woman in the world. Among their number were a handful of Sidereals. Including one very old man who had taken on a student recently, and had hoped to use the song and dance that these gods had created to glean information.

He had, technically. Just not in the way he had wanted. His spy being discovered immediately was unfortunate, but not wholly out of the question. Them not being thrown out was a stroke of luck. And this… he didn’t know what to call this. A lie? Propaganda to make her less willing to send important information back to Yu Shan? If it was true-

If it was true, then every accomplishment he’d ever had was utterly worthless. So. He would put it out of his mind as best he could. The unconfirmed ramblings of a woman he had no reason to trust were worthless.

“Not to call you a liar to your face or anything, but I don’t suppose there’s any way you can prove that?”
“I can.”

Worthless.

“How?”
“Lytek knows about the curse.”

Worthless.

“The god of Exaltation?”
“He didn’t tell Conky because he thought he could fix it, but he failed. Has been trying not to get executed ever since.”

Chejop let out a shaky breath. The water in the reflection pool had stilled, cutting off the voices. He looked up and around. The room was utterly empty. How long had they been gone? How long had he been here alone with his thoughts? Footsteps echoed from behind him, and a melodious woman's voice called out to him.
>>
>>94765409
“So. Now you know.”

He turned to face Jupiter. Maiden of Secrets. His patron. Here to hear an accounting of his failure, most likely. If he was lucky then an investigation would be launched first, but honestly - if he were standing in judgement upon another for this, he’d probably just kill them and be done with it. Some things just couldn’t be fixed. He had held some vague hope, but her words had crushed them utterly. Jupiter could not share secrets. Her nature wouldn’t allow it. For her to want to share a secret was anomalous. But given what that secret seemingly was, he could understand it.

“...I have nothing to say in my defense.”
“Nothing?”
“It seems a trap was set for me, and I walked into it with open arms. All my victories are suspect. All my failures are suspect. All my students are suspect. There is nothing I can say in my defense. Do with me as you will.”

“You are forbidden from speaking to other Sidereals. From passing messages to other Sidereals. From collaborating with other Sidereals.”
“I understand.”
“You have served for four thousand nine hundred and ninety nine years, six months, and twelve days. You have two hundred and fifty seven days of life remaining. Until that time expires, you will keep Lytek alive at all costs.”
“Lytek?”
“I will make sure there will be an execution. You will make sure there is not a murder. Understood?”
“Understood.”
“...You’re lucky it’s Venus’s turn. She’d have ripped you in half for interrupting her watching her daughter with this political nonsense, as important as it might be.”
“Ha. As you say, my lady.”

It's a good thing this takes place three months before the end of the gauntlet, or my life would get very complicated. Fun!

Can attest to this from personal experience, ended up in a wreck after hydroplaning on the highway and my car skipped off the road and slammed directly into a tree after doing a 180. The liscence plate was literally shoved up between the driver's seat and the passenger seat. I opened the door and walked out without so much as a single bruise. You couldn't even tell the car had been in a wreck from looking at the front of it but the back end had crumbled up completely. I was so impressed I went out and bought another car just like it a week later.

Same. Got nothing against it, it's just not my cup of tea. Also frankly at this point we've had many, many Exalted jumps and I've done builds for all of them, and combined with 3e continuously disappointing me I've kind of just expended all my Exalted enthusiasm.

The most interesting thing I've (re-)learned about Exalted is that there is a Solar Mirror Charm to Withering Phantasmagoria called Demon-Wrecking Glory, and it effectively lets Solars do this to Creatures of Darkness (and only Creatures of Darkness) with various sunlight/Holy phenomena within a few hundred yards (or Essence-5 miles with E6+). And even that is bittersweet, because I'm reminded that even by the standards of 2e the 3e Abyssal Charms, despite being the peak of the system mechanically speaking, are somehow just less fun. They're all hyper-spec'd for a specific purpose like "bear hug someone with pyreflame" or "push over a building to create a shadowland" instead of just making ghosts pop out to haunt people at your rock concert. Or whipping off someone's head and quickly replacing it with a pumpkin before anyone notices.

Genoan merchant chain.
A chain themed around picking a fantasy race to be best buds with via the Generic Dungeon Crawl reputation item.
Nubee the Hedgehog (or Bee), Savior of the Century's End (because the Fist of the North Star gacha unironically had a Sonic collab).

Honestly if I've learned one thing from Exalted, it's that if Presence can do something, there's probably a Performance Charm that can accomplish the same effect but over a larger area at once.

It's mad overkill to use the fucking Chaos Emeralds on a bunch of mohawk mooks but who I am to stop sonic.
Live and Learn playing is absolutely necessary though As an aside, Sonic kinda is a perfect counter to Kenshiro just in terms of powerset. Too fast to get hit in the pressure points/get Nanto sliced, he already has experience fighting Silver so the Touki aura attacks aren't going to be too good either, plus he's a hedgehog who probably doesn't have human pressure points. Finally, the ultimate technique of Hokuto Shinken, Musou Tensei, is hard countered by spatial distortion, which Chaos Control probably counts as?
>Yeah that could be really good. Got any good Jumps with weapon skill perks you like starting in?
When I go with that chain idea, I usually start with a fairly low powered jump that has access to the particular weapon I want or a sufficiently openended generic weapon option (Rainbow Six Siege for the Automatic Grenade Launcher chain, Mob for the Razor chain) and then from there expand into grabbing enchantment stuff, skill uncappers etc.
The Drop In Capstone from Kamen Rider Neo-Heisei Part 2/one of the Dawn Solar perks in the Exalted Solar jump are generally pretty good for this though, since they let you transfer skill from other types of fighting to your "main one", which opens up a whole bunch of perks that'd otherwise be disregarded.

Well, what I had in mind was sort of a two axis graph or table. The top left of it would be a basic ass pistol, the top right a chain gun, while the bottom left would be something like a railgun or artillery piece.

Hm? To be fair, whether Sonic has blood on his hands (and whether he gives a damn about it) is fairly loosey goosey and dependent on continuity.
>Hm? https://hokuto.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Hokuto_no_Ken:_Legends_ReVIVE_characters#Crossovers
There's a full list here (and it looks like I skipped over the Tekken and Hana no Keiji crossover). Looking at them, they seem reasonable enough by "mobage crossover event" standards, repping the biggest names. Sure, Tekken missing Jin is a bit odd but not as silly as the entire concept itself.
The Keiji crossover might be the only one that's even remotely fitting, given that it's a manga that shares the same illustrator as HnK.

Fate Ishtar is...messy.

There's a lot of metanarrative stuff that goes into why the gods are depicted the way in Nasu's works, but Ishtar in particular is in a weird liminal space where Nasu simultaneously has to justify making FGO Ishtar a Rin-face Pseudo Servant, while also not contradicting the characterization we get in Babylonia.

On the surface, from the way she's described by Gilgamesh and post-Babylonia Enkidu is that Ishtar is a mercurial and destructive force, selfish and uncaring, who is only made barley survivable by the moderating influence of Rin. This though is weighed down by Gil and Enkidu's bias (and it is bias, Enkidu sincerely respects and honors the entire pantheon besides Ishtar, and Huwawa existing makes that very questionable on Enkidu's part since Ishtar and Eresh are the only gods of that pantheon who weren't involved in that travesty and thought ill of it), and as we learn in various places isn't even something Gil fully believes. Gilgamesh on the other-hand will admit that Ishtar, not Ishtar influenced by Rin, but Ishtar herself, is at her core a good beneficent person/force, just one that's also prone to chaotic disruption that he prefers not to deal with.

It's also repeatedly emphasized that Rin's influence isn't actually adding any of Ishtar's good points, it's just smoothing out the rough edges, and in her Material Profile it's specifically stated that at their core Rin and Ishtar are, effectively, the same person, with the differences essentially being a matter of how they were raised by their father figures. And while this is effectively shown in game, it's counter-weighted by the need to emphasize her connection to Rin proper...also, the tsundere moments that are pretty blatantly attempts to lean on one's attachment to Rin can be pretty forced at times...but I'm running out of space.

Anyway, that's FGO Ishtar.
>>
>>94765665
FSF Ishtar is...still based on the Ishtar of the Epic, rather than elsewhere like I might wish, but she's written in a way that you can see why people would love and worship her. There's an alienness to her that I think carries the original interpretation of how Nasu wrote divinities as background elements in his setting before he had to really make them characters, but it's an alienness that allows her to simultaneously bear a sincere love for those who are hers, even while maintaining the mercurialness we're told to expect.

The conversation between Haruri and Ishtar is in Volume 7, Chapter 23.

Mmmm, different sort of roll table. While I don't mind the "roll on the table, get result" type, it sometimes feels awkward when you get a result you don't care for. This type of heavy investment, multiple sets of rolls for all results, faux research and note taking stuff; that's really enjoyable for me when I have the motivation. So far I have this stuff assorted into rough groups, unsure how many more I'll add or if I'll change some of the more specific entries. I did just throw this together since I started talking to ya though.

Got anything else to do to pass the time? When you don't have anything to do with your time, just having something to help pass it allows you to make things more tolerable. Jumpchain is a way to pass the time for me, even if it's not enriching or developmental.

Alright. Say that I've gotten an Unohana Waifu. We've got an agreement to keep our deathmatches in specialized containment fields where we can safely fight each other to death once a year, and we spar very violently at least once a month. Somewhere along the way, I impregnate her (probably less than hours after a yearly deathmatch, so she gives birth before we fight to the death again).

How would Unohana do as a mother?

I figure she'd be extremely knowledgeable on keeping her kids healthy and growing well-she'd know the best nutrition, know how to raise them for optimal health and wellness-but will she be able to comfort a crying baby? She'd teach them to fight well, but will she teach them how to get along with people or right from wrong? Can she be trusted to have a gentle hand with our children, or will I have to actively protect them from her punishments? How will she do as a mother?

Anon, the Servant Universe is 5,000,000,000 years old. Astarte Origin/Space Ishtar is explicitly a result of the Ancient Venusian Civilization, which existed 'before the birth of mammals on Earth' in the Primordial Universe/Universe of Origin, as in the universe *before* the Servant Universe. This confirms that Earth exists in the Primordial Universe, that it is the origin point of Humanity who became Servants upon leaving the Planet, and the whole Earth Mother Goddess deal is pretty much described as a 1:1 description of how the Age of Man texture works. Beyond that, Space Ishtar (i.e. Astarte Origin's heart) inherited from her the 'Divine Core' of the 'prototype' for all the Ishtar-like goddesses of Earth. Something that in Fate/Extra is explicitly tied to the Goddess of Çatalhöyük.

What more do you need?

Wait, that's what we're arguing about? I thought you meant that the Universe of Origin wasn't a universe like mainstay Fate. Since the original question was relating to why Space Ishtar (something native to Servant Universe and it predecessor) was like Rin. Since the answer there is lit just "Aliens did it", and isn't related to regular Ishtar and Ereshkigal...well, our Ishtar and Ereshkigal, the Ishtar and Ereshkigal of the Universe of Origin are, but they're at least nominally distinct as long as they're parallel worlds rather than adjacent worlds. Then again, our Ishtar and Ereshkigal are both identitied as splinters of her origin by Space Ishtar/Astarte Origin...multiverse stuff is annoying.

Though, given the aliens who made the Moon Cell seems to be a universal thing, it wouldn't be weird for the Ancient Venusians to be a thing either. But you're right that there's no hard evidence for them in PHH, and being from another universe isn't actually a barrier to beings on this level.

Oh, thought there was a new Conduit like CYOA. Sad.

I would adjust it so that head sized tits are Appearance 1 and it doubles every point from there.

Note that Fate Ereshkigal is both a workaholic and an idiot. Since she has a ton of problems caused by how literally nothing in the Fate version of Kur works properly. For reference she literally can't even understand what dead souls are saying. However her attempts to fix this keep failing, because the other gods told her to never go outside, and until the plot of Grand Order she actually listened. Which one to take. They lead into each other but I would think mass production is easier on materials while automation makes for better supply chains.

Looks good! But the Location text for Dark Continent has a bit of typo. You wrote 'This is a land nit meant to be tread'. Nit instead of not.

But other than that looks pretty ok. Also Nen is good, so curious to see what else you gonna come up with.

Being honest though, I pity whatever poor dude rolls, or chooses Dark Continent, since it seems that even if you do make it out, there is still going to be some Horror beyond human reason hitching a ride with you, which sucks.

Also, gotta say, the Meruem option is truly BS, I love it. I can already imagine an Ant King Jumper going to Meruem and asking: "Why are you killing my humans? I am losing quality entertainment here!"

Though if I can make a suggestion? Since there are a few shows and stuff where the power system is called Aura, can we get a sort of cross over toggle called. 'Aura? Aura!' Mainly because I want an excuse to have RWBY here.

You can't tell me that Grimm wouldn't fit in with the horrors of the Dark Continent.
>>
>>94768091
Pretty much all Grimm shown are fodder compared to the dark continent.
Chimera Ants are considered very low tier in comparison to the continent, and would wipe the floor with most Grimm.
>>
>>94767975
Seems good. The generic techniques probably need a line describing what they are, and explain that theoretically anyone could bullshit out any kind of hatsu might need it's own paragraph.
>>
>>94768091
Thanks for catching the typo. I do not see myself adding a crossover toggle with RWBY but there is a generalized fanfic toggle.
>>
>>94767975
Looks good, though I noticed one minor thing.
The Squadron Leader Ant species mentions this
>You were born with a high capacity for
nen such that you could battle with powerful nen users and develop your own Hatsu after just
weeks of life.
The Squadron Leaders didn't develop their Hatsu on their own, they relied on Shaiapouf's Coocons to get their Hatsu.

Otherwise the description of Nen is solid so far, though as a fundamental it should be mentioned that Nen is invisible to non-nen users. Also with the types it should be mentioned how your type affinity limits your potential with other types
>>
>>94768146
Eh, no probs, happy to help. That and I will take what I can get. Though HxH doesn't really have fanfics, unfortunately.

Still, I see the jump is coming along nicely!

So, two things.

One, Ketchup taught her a bunch of spy stuff on the grounds that she was supposed to go back/get a 'new' job with Messier, only for her to get caught immediately. So he went all in on Secrets and that turned out to be the wrong move. So while she's probably slightly better than a fresh Sidereal on account of Old Man Mentorship, none of it was optimized for the campaign.

Secondly, I didn't know that and I'm not actually going to fix it in the pdf because that's what I know about the curse and me being wrong is fine. Like, I think the Lunar curse is the wyld mutation with moonsilver tattoos, but idk for sure. And I have no idea what the Dragonblood curse it. So even if I'm wrong, that's fine.

>>94768579
Of course! There's one for good dreams, one for sweet dreams, one for wet dreams, one for daydreams, one for nightmares, one for sleep paralysis, one for dreams where you go to work naked, one for dreams where you fall endlessly, and then there's at least that many managing the rest of them.

Sounds about right. Sids are at their worst when they don’t know what they’re dealing with, and what Messier knows certainly qualifies.

>Secondly, I didn't know that and I'm not actually going to fix it in the pdf because that's what I know about the curse and me being wrong is fine. Female ninja would make excellent wives because they would have honed their feminine characteristics and skills to their logical endpoint of being a master infiltrator and spy. If you married one you would never even realize she wasn't a perfect lady because she'd be so attentive to every detail and useful in domestic areas.
Also ninja aren't samurai, so rather than being overtly assertive, she'd be demure and avoidant of confrontation, not because she isn't capable of home defense, but because she'd know better than to cause herself unnecessary trouble. Being married to a female ninja would be like being married to Yoshikage Kira, when they're not on a mission they just want a quiet life bereft of violence.

>>
>>94769048
It will be significantly harder in a kunoichi's case because they're trained against torture and interrogation i.e. they're literally conditioned not to show their normal responses and likely desensitized to a heavy degree. As she's a kunoichi she'd also have honeypot training to ensure that she can trick her targets into letting down their guard, which would include convincing ways of faking pleasure and maintaining a cool head even in the midst of sex. She will fuck you and feel absolutely nothing, and she will ensure you never know that you couldn't pleasure her if you tried your hardest.
>>94769052
A woman who is honest about her reactions and willing to work with you rather than around you is significantly better than one who will fake every moment of your relationship for her own convenience and would cheat on you at the drop of a hat should the mission require it.

No. Just that the fact that none of them did anything reckless is kind of odd. Since that level of patience is unnatural by human standards. However quincy aren't human, or at least not normal humans. So clearly this is normal for them.

A sensible way to write.

>New headcanon - all the fairy girls from heroes are in there somewhere as gods of dreams.

For example there is that ritual they perform to send the souls of dead Captains to Hell, because the reishi of their bodies is too powerful to decay, and Soul Society decided that's a problem. Yet they wait twelve years to do so.

So Ichigo not being in a rush to fix things is actually normal for what he is.
