This is definitely a surprising character development.

Believable as a way to diversify the curriculum and bolster the school's image more, but also a useful idea to make cross-class interactions easier. Good plan. If only there were more than the three seniors.

I like the character detail that Takako isn't so far gone that she'll ignore suggestions just out of pride. As long as it's phrased in a way that lets her save face. And the Therapist was properly unsettling even without doing a single sinister thing. Good work all around.

Although his grandfather was an extremely popular vigilante in the last days of Japan's chaos, influencing the look of two generations of official Heroes afterward, he also died relatively young and left his children orphaned.

Keito's father became a modestly successful martial arts instructor in Kyoto's out-of-control dojo culture, but always dismissed the Hero system and insulted the lingering remnants of vigilantism in Japan, blaming them for his own father's obsession and martyred demise. While he thinks a real man should be able to defend himself and help his neighbors, he believes the Heroes are too flashy and have corrupted motives.

Keito thinks Heroing can be redeemed but only from the inside. He wants to become an ideal, like his grandfather did, and this has caused strain in his household. That makes him throw himself even more into Hero training.

I mean at a universal scale sure but that's typical size for a young Asian man and 8kg more than I weigh. I also don't know how to calculate the drag of a human with the ability to move and pose himself, honestly.

In any case, he can easily clear a 10 story building without a running start which is a hell of a mental visual. Probably can't go all-out against anybody, ever. If the opponent could take the hit, then it's a free escape method, and if they can't then the boy's donuted them up to his thigh. I bet one rising kick could bounce a soccer ball off a jetliner at cruising altitude.

Good to know I got it right. Lixdite is nor particularly formal, not that he has much of a choice right now with his limited vocabulary, but he knows about honorifics so he would at least use that, he may use the wrong one sometimes for the more situational ones. Italian doesn't have that big of a difference between formal and informal, not in speaking at least, and he was surrounded mostly by family his whole life so even when he gets more eloquent in japanese he will likely still be pretty informal.

She has gone through a lot in that one year she was in Shiketsu, and felt great heights of despair and pain but persevered.
Seeing that little snek happy for once is quite refreshing after everything she went through. Sure, problems won't disappear anytime soon, but now she is strong enough to face them, and has lots of people to help her stand her ground.

If a subject takes place in a classroom, then the teacher comes to them (Quirk Ethics, economics). Otherwise the students go to the teacher (Combat, Heroics, Art, Rescue). However, some of the classes might not have the same location every time (Heroics and Rescue), so that could be a situation where the teacher comes to the students and then leads them out of the classroom. Really depends on whether those classes schedule their locations long in advance or on a rotation, or if the teacher simply picks whatever they want that day. Also if something is more than likely an elective, like Spanish, then odds are that also has the students coming to the teacher even if it takes place in a classroom, because not everyone in a class will share the same electives.

That all fell apart a few years back. Poor bastard went after some big real estate firm for a string of arson cases on land that they "conveniently" wanted to buy up. The crooks responsible did next to no time, then started a smear campaign against Nightwatch, saying he used his quirk to force false confessions out of them. Four years and 17 frivolous lawsuits later, the guy is lucky to have a roof over his head. Other heroes still trust him with with their intel, but only behind closed doors. Nobody wants to be seen dealing with him.

He's a neat character, and somewhat of a direct anti-thesis for Chihiro, who's all about accepting the worst parts of her life and facing them head-on. I quite like him.

Her quirk didn't correctly develop. It was taking in Qi to grow into it's proper state, but Chihiro was panicking as a kid, thought her quirk was evil, and was fighting against it. She's essentially puking up all the Qi she absorbs instead of 'digesting it' and mistook that for the correct way to use it over time, leaving her quirk in a very janky, permanently starved state. It's why her quirk took her so much effort to master. So the end result matches Saraki's usual patients, but I'm not sure if it's in character for him not find out what her quirk was turning into first.

Lixdite was in character, and I liked the way you characterized the aura combined with Mochi's inner turmoil a lot. Mochi's focus right now is trying to develop a friendship so he can get Lixdite to go with him to one of Imamu's sermons, which will give me an excuse to show his public side in the temple and maybe have some background hints at Arach-kid poking around the temple under the guise of a worshiper.

Mochi, however, is dearly in need of some kind of social connection besides Imamu's indoctrination. He's a bitter asshole, but he could easily end up enjoying Lixdite's company for real. Lixdite seems patient and empathetic enough to understand Mochi's crust is a coping mechanism.

Himeko's probably easier. Lolibabas are a common enough trope and they often have a similar sound.... Guess this works? Character herself isn't secretly old, but she's got the kind of voice tic I tend to hear. Main point is that she sounds like a kid that's trying to sound like a granny, rather than sounding like an actual granny. Sadly it's the kind of way of talking I don't feel translates over to dub very well.

I enjoyed the POV structure and the petrification scene was well done, but I do have some criticisms, spoilered since you didn't ask. The intro was needlessly vague. I honestly didn't have a clear picture of where the story took place until Mochi's second POV. The only other criticism I have might be invalid considering this is a 'first heist', but there was very little tension in the story. It was clear from the setup nothing would go wrong and I had to resist the urge to just skip to the end. I do have some difficulty visualizing where things are happening as well in the Japanese setting, since I'm not as familiar with Japanese city life as I am American city life. So I tried to keep things loose enough I wasn't inputting something that didn't fit. I also tried to keep the scene descriptions spread throughout the POVs, sort of like a heist scene showing you different parts one at a time.

Things were rather smooth, which wasn't great for excitement, but it was intended to be an inciting incident to an investigation/mystery plotline more than a climax.

Imamu's past fight with Himeko was also him showcasing the pettiness of his character and earlier recklessness that can resurface when he's provoked enough, while this was to characterize him as more methodical, careful and brutal.

I'd like to try and get some sort of missile attack for my potential hero, but having a short range missile is kinda stupid since like, basic bitch shoulder launched missiles in actual militaries can have more than a kilometer of range.

Compared to being able to bend reality in many ways at half the cost or less, it seems excessively expensive.

Pretty much, Reiji's only real hope until he grows a spine and is ready to get essentially sniped is to undersell his abilities to Imamu in a hope that he'll be less important. The problem is he's presumably done very well so far so it's a hard sell.

Simply the fact he doesn't chase fame like most commercial heroes is already good from his point of view. Even if he doesn't aggree with the no killing rule Lixdite is convinced a real hero should, which is part of his problems too. Ryusei seems like a laid back and sligtly informal person, would he be likely to call his students by nicknames like "kid" or "boy" or similar? For now Lixdite has a lot on his plate so the most likely questions would be school related, like how he balances being awake both at night for patrolls and in the day to teach. It will take a bit but the first serious question he would ask is "what does it mean to be a hero?" which from what I read on his profile may be a bit complicated to answer at this point in his life. From what I see they have the same ideals, they are just disillusioned for different reasons which I think is interesting.

I see, Lixdite is in fact surprisingly good at figuring out people, and his skewed worldview means he is not easy to corrupt, he already corrupted himself in a sense. I can see this unlikely friendship working, and Lixdite will keep hanging out with Mochi for a while just because he still wants to figure out why he approached him. Being called a god resonates with his compulsion but not to the point he would be blind to the undertones, the language barrier will actually be in his favour for a while as charisma can only take you so far when you only understand half the world the preacher says. He has a buffer so to speak, which will give him the time to get to know Mochi more before the sermons really start sinking in. Mochi seems to make it relatively obvious that he dislikes his limited mobility, so Lix is already planning something for that.

Imamu keeps the temple and Red Finger as separate as he can. He might not even introduce Lixdite to the Red Finger side of the organization if he feels he's better suited as a Hero Student sponsored by the 'legitimate' side. He's likely to try something similar with Kraken, since he likes muties.

Their actual lair is built underground, adjacent to one of the Kyoto subway lines, and was constructed using Mythopoesis' Quirk and some hired engineers to make sure things were sound.

The temple could have some kind of legitimate charity blood donation thing as a red herring for Lixdite to find. They don't do human sacrifice since they believe in the inherent divinity of all Quirked people, and Quirkless people are too rare in comparison to bother with most of the time.

Imamu will sometimes publicly butcher and prepare an animal for meat in something similar to/borrowed from Islamic halal meat preparation, then donate the meat to the poorer families among his congregation who cannot afford it.

The scariest thing about a cult leader to someone with a good sense of reading other people, or a human lie detector like Ms. Teel, is that they are as skilled at rigorous self-deception as they are at convincing others. Imamu fully believes that he is in the right, and that all the crimes Red Finger commits are nothing more than part of a just and legitimate war effort for his nation.

Whats the technology like in the base?

I was planning on having Joe construct essentially what is a far larger version of a LAN in order to have a relatively untraceable and private virtual database and computers they can use for their endeavors (obviously without using the internet), so that he can prove he's not just muscle and can help in other ways.

It also allows stuff for Reiji to do, because while Joe can get the the hardware and make it nice with Tinkering, software stuff like making malware or Zip bombs can be up to Reiji, allowing him to have a dilemma of using the full extent of his abilities to make some truly nasty computer viruses or not

I like to think Karaburan was cautious at first, but implemented the student patrols as an adaptation of the idea after thinking over her suggestion some more and consulting the other staff. Takata would try to dot in a wooden ship, he's not bad at art, but he's just not interested in it so it's passable. Halfway though he gets bored enough to start using the tips of his tentacles to speed up the process. The end result would have non-uniform dots and some holes in the canvas, but he covers it up by saying it's a ship wreck.

Honestly, I didn't know which spots were taken other than like 3 of them so I just picked one that seemed like a dump to replace, and I wanted a reason for why he's #3 despite never being mentioned before. Are any of the spots open for me to switch to? If not I can move him to a lower rank if other top 10s are moving up.

Akuba - he hardly ever uses his middle name, it's mostly for people who know him well - would have seen dot art before. He'd make an off-hand joke about it being Aunty Style artwork, but still give it due focus. Pic related.

He spends most of the time doing the spiral pattern, leaving a black hexagon in the middle, then goes back in the several minutes to add in first the curving arms, then the sharp connecting lines, and only last the six white dots at the center. If someone calls them a smile, he gently corrects them: they're eyes.

It's quite meditative for him. Until the last segment, which sets his mood back to tense-shouldered and smiling mask affixed again.

He was #3 because that spot was open and some anons were trying to do a pseudo-MHA 2 by making UA builds. He was a UA teacher and top hero, like a quasi-All Might. Then it turned out all of them were parasites waiting for someone else to effortfag so it died. He still bought the empty slot, though. He's as canon as fishman.

Its not the same as IRL talent and stuff. Literally every year the quriks get stronger so all they need is the experience to actually wield them properly and stuff.

All the current Tops are just super experienced, which is why its odd for anyone to just show up and take over. Cause they woulda had to been training for ages in secret or something.

There's no doubt that the graduating seniors behind Seriyu will follow him into the top 10, but hes not there yet and they are only just starting their journey.

Also in our lore most of the top but not top 10 heroes went to school together.
