Its become clear to me there is a sect of terminally online autists whos lives have been taken over by the compulsive urge to constantly express their opinions regarding action figures despite not owning any. I have coined the term “fanboy” for this anon, as they bear multiple similarities to a sports fan. They love certain figures, hate others and empathetically assert themselves as a relevant opinion on subjects they have no personal experience in. I see them as an existential threat to the community and the entire toy industry as a whole. The fanboy, when made desperate will outright lie about owning toys they have never touched. They therefore are detrimental to us all as they spread false information throughout the entire web of the toy world. Moving forward, no opinion or statement on this board should be taken seriously without a photographic proof of the fact that they own the toy they are presenting an opinion on. This is the simple way we know your opinion is valid and you have “skin in the game” so to speak. Thank you for your time.

>if you don't see how retarded it is that needed to look up 3 different websites
Sorry Subby, I haven't devoted my life to stalking /tfg/ and saving every single instance of bad QC that gets posted, so I don't have half a decade of "gotcha" posts to fall back on.
Also, you missed the point.
>not even actually posting examples for every single year like i did
Congratulations on completely missing the point. You have now proved that you are so retarded that you can't even grasp a simple concept. Read the final sentence again and try to let it sink in. And while you try to let it sink in, please don't drink water. Hopefully it will take about 5 days to sink in. Nothing bad will happen and the world will be a better place.
>So what's your newest WH40k figure?
It's the fucking McFarlane Genestealer that I've posted twice in the thread already, you absolute cockmongler that can't even keep track of a basic conversation. And I already told you I only bought it because it was a cool looking monster. I don't actually care about 40k, which is why I'm tired of you having these autistic temper tantrums about Joytoy in so many unrelated threads.
The reason that I asked you to post the most recent Joytoy figure you own is because all you do is complain about the quality of toys that you don't even own, which is born from a grudge that developed half a decade ago. That's what my Transformers rant was about. It was to show you what a mentally imbalanced retard you sound like constantly crying about figures you don't even own, spamming screencaps and stolen images like an obsessive compulsive lunatic. But you are so fucking dense that it was lost on you, even when I spelled it out for you at the end of the post.

>I've been trying to defend Joytoy's Warhammer 40k line despite my newest WH40k toy being made by McFarlane Toys 3 years ago
LOL. you're proving OP correct.
You're a no-toys who has no real opinion.
You only come into threads just to shit them up. No wonder it took you 4 posts to answer this. And then you are trying to project your no-toys, despite me posting my Joytoy toys that were released in 2025, 2024, 2023, and 2022.

>>11669559
>Judging from how you sperg out about JoyToy randomly, I get the impression you don't like them.
Brah, i literally explained why I buy Joytoy's WH40k line. I made an analogy to simplify it. I then explained how the analogy works. With the last two times you're making up your own insane theories that skew to the extreme, instead of reading what i said.

You're bitching just to bitch and/or projecting your insane beliefs onto me.

It's almost like everything you say is to avoid actually talking about Joytoy, because somehow needing to RESEARCH to avoid buying the most brittle figures that Joytoy makes is somehow a bad mean thing to say. I mean, how dare anyone talk negatively about a toyline that you treat like a minefield because of how many problem with quality control they have.
Again, this is why the WH40k General is dead, because so many people have had so many problems that they no longer buy the line.

>Brah, i literally explained why I buy Joytoy's WH40k line.
And I countered by saying, it's kind of dumb to buy a product you don't like, even if it's the only option. But whatever man, you do you. It's just obnoxious to see you sperg out about JoyToy Warhammer shit in random threads that have nothing to do with it.

>It's almost like everything you say is to avoid actually talking about Joytoy, because somehow needing to RESEARCH to avoid buying the most brittle figures that Joytoy makes is somehow a bad mean thing to say.
I don't collect Warhammer toys. I never go to the Warhammer thread. I don't give a fuck if you don't like JoyToy. What I do give a fuck about is having to see all your character limit long posts over explaining why you don't like JoyToy and why no one else should either. Isn't that weird how, even when I don't ever go to the Warhammer threads, I'm now all to aware of your hate boner for the line? To be completely honest, your bullshit in completely unrelated threads has totally put me off of Warhammer toys because I don't want to deal with incessant whiney pissants, which I now assume the fandom is rife with, thanks to you. So congratulations I guess.

>Again, this is why the WH40k General is dead, because so many people have had so many problems that they no longer buy the line.
It's dead because no one wants to listen to you whine about JoyToy for the umpteenth time. It's fine that you have your opinion but you don't need to remind the entire board about it every two days.
>>
>>11670185
>trying to defend Joytoy's Warhammer 40k line
No I haven't. Not once. I've told you that I don't care about 40k. I have never once stated what I think of their toys. If that's your takeaway, you are a completely delusional schizo and an utter retard. It sucks that Californian taxpayers that earn over a million dollars have to pay an extra 1% tax to keep you alive.
>I'm going to call you no-toys despite you posting several pics of your toys while I post a screenshot from a YouTube video showing toys that I don't own
Delusional schizo.
>You only come into threads just to shit them up
This isn't a thread about Joytoy WH40k figures, but you are such a delusional schizo that you think every thread should be about your insane grudge and you should be allowed to shit them up spamming your Joytoy folder.
>my Joytoy toys that were released in 2025,
You said you weren't even sure if it was released in 2025. See >>11669232
>Bought the figure in 2025 but I'm not entirely sure if it was from 2025, since Joytoy releases so many variants.
You can't even keep your story straight. Not surprising since you are a delusional schizo.

And in case the 4 times I said it weren't enough, let me remind you that you are a delusional schizo.

I like him. I just wish his insignias were either removable or he had folding panels like Doubledealer to choose which side he's on. He's not even the worse deluxe from that wave. Shadow Striker looks nothing like the character (her vehicle mode looks nothing like RID Side Burn's either) and her arms are unable to move backwards.

As the title suggests, what are some toys that hold up really well in spite of being quite old?
I'd say a lot older Figmas are still quite good even by today's standards. In particular I'd single out the Madoka Magica Figmas- they capture the characters extremely well and for the most part are really fun, poseable expressive toys.

The three lines of Hellboy toys (Comic, HB, HB2: The Golden Army) all had great figures but the comic line in particular has high marks in being super solid figures with some decent articulation and a ton of cool accessories. And all at an affordable price compared to a NECA toy from the same era.

The only reason to get the Boss Fight Hellboy toys coming this year is because you missed out in 2009.

these figures are great. The third movie made me a huge fan of Quarrich - easily the best character-you can watch these basically for him.
Quaritch is like...i don't know... Like Megatron. The "bad dad"-character (if people like Optimus are good father figures Quaritch is the badass bad dad-figure)

i didn't have them all but ordered them. can't wait to start collecting my little Quaritch collection - him in Mech and him on that flying bird-thing

Definitely recommend him and he's available as a full set on TF Safari and Bombus Bee for $140 range which is stellar for the full set

But f you look at the toys advertised for younger kids, it's still largely based on the G1 , long after most 80's kids stopped having toddlers. That's my point. The Armada and Animated based stuff is for nostalgic fans in the collectors lines, not how the characters are presented for younger audiences.
If you get a Rescue bots Optimus or a generic evergreen toy, they're gonna have hallmarks of the G1 design, not Armada or RiD or even the movies. The closest we get is Optimus Primal being in the rotation of evergreen characters now.
>>
>>11669929
Speaking of ReAction and Ultimates!... Is Super7 just done with MMPR? I was really loving their Zords and villains/monsters. As far as I'm aware the Ultimates! didn't even attempt for a new wave after the one with Bulk & Skull (which were successful), and ReAction advertised Lord Drakkon and Shellshock figures that still haven't come yet. Both lines still had plenty of main characters to work their way through... What happened?
>>
>>11669994
I wouldn't expect much from Super7 these days. They're not doing well financially.

Has there ever been a figure that got cancelled or remained unmade that made you genuinely seethe at a company before? I remember being extremely ticked off when spin master refused to make a 4-inch figure of the riddler for their the batman toyline even though he was the main villain of the movie. And low and behold the toyline rotted at shelves because all they made for it where catwoman and a penguin figure that didnt even look like collin ferrel.

Sometimes toy-makers do a pattern of "if you want the shit you really want, then you have to buy the shit you don't really want first so we can make more money." Hasbro's done that a lot with Classified, which is why we're in year 6 of it and still no Firebat or Skyhawk. My only guess is they assumed people would buy the crap before they did the dragoon figures, and when people didn't and they took a loss, they cancelled the line.

>>11663965
I still like Mcfarlane. In the 90s/early 00s they were untouchable with the level of details and sculpt quality in figures, and largely stayed that way for at least a decade before others caught up. Yeah I wish they'd make more of an effort with articulation, but since I don't play with my toys it doesn't bother me a whole hell of a lot.

What excites me about this wave is that it’s genuinely one of the strongest Original Trilogy lineups we’ve seen in years. It feels almost like an *ultimate* OT wave, packed with some of the most iconic elements from the trilogy, and the designs themselves are honestly excellent. The smart bricks don’t really bother me when I think about how far LEGO has come, and the prices are actually pretty reasonable compared to other modern Star Wars sets. LEGO was never cheap to begin with, and by today’s standards, these sets are far from outrageous. If anything, they feel like a premium, modern take on the “classic” style—almost a spiritual successor to the early 2000s era. Overall, I’m really impressed by the creativity and care that went into these, and it’s hard not to be excited about what LEGO is doing here.

LEGO are the ONLY Star Wars toys that never stopped selling. I suspect that this year will be thin for SW choices because of the build-up to next year's big 50th anniversary releases.
