Is there a chance SHFupgrade does an upgrade kit for Majade's shoulderpads ? I love the design, but the way they did the shoulderpads limit the shoulder articulation way too much, and I'm not sure if its a dealbreaker for me yet. It's weird too, most of the time Bandai tends to attach the shoulderpads properly to the arms, I guess they really didn't want the armor to look broken.

Don't know to be honest, this is a very rare case. Prime Rogue had a similar issue but his was the fact the cape was attached to his shoulderpads which IIRC is detachable.

Fair, but that's also kinda their own fault. They stuck with the articulation scheme that didn't work for most people and added 0 effects pieces. Now the one time they do, it's a P-Bandai. Can't blame people for not buying into the Bleach line hard when all they get is multiple of the same middle of the pack-level body schemes, and nothing else to go with them other than kinda good and accurate heads, but that's it. I am buying into the line because I really like Bleach and have wanted 1/12 figures that are at least somewhat serviceable for years, but even I wish they'd bothered to improve the shinigami body engineering, just as I wish they'd improve Luffy's knees and added a telescoping joint to the thigh piece so one can position the knee past the shorts and get full range by having the knee be able to bend around the edge of the shorts instead.

I feel like some of the TYBW looks are an improvement as well, but it's the nostalgia that makes me want the earlier looks more. Those were how they looked for most of the series where some of the best fights came from and back when the dub was airing on Toonami. In Japan, I used to be able to say Sentinel and 1000Toys were above them, but they have been making increasingly poor decisions as time went on. AY is usually high quality, but their prices have been getting insane too. In truth, the highest quality toys I own nowadays are mostly coming out of China, not Japan. There is a new wave of toymakers out there, and they're hungry to prove themselves. It feels like toy innovation is pushing forward every day there, and kind of slowing down in Japan. Example: for around $100, I can either get another tiny "Deluxe" Figma with a soft sculpt and hilariously outdated joint engineering, or this sick Tiger guy with stupid amounts of complex paint apps and accessories, standing 10 inches tall and weighing almost 2 pounds all geared up. This makes you realize how bad the value proposition is on a lot of these figures now, and how much more you could be getting.

It is very shitty looking and ive skipped out on figures that I wouldve normally bought because of it.
I skipped arc because of that marvel legends abshit.

Just opened SHF Andy, and the elbows look and function a bit weirdly (they're setup like NECA double joints, or Savage Crucible double joints) but they're effective. The rest of the figure feels incredible. The articulation is good and it's all smooth, and functions very well. That said... there's a crack in the elbow (doesn't hinder functionality at all, but always possible this breaks down the road), so that's an annoyance. Also, the sword grip hand has 0 give, and it actually has two notches on the inside to give it a better grip, which is great, except the pommel is bigger than the handle, so there's almost no way to push the sword in safely, especially because the sword has no good place to hold it when pushing it in. Definitely heat up the hand before trying to push the sword in there.

It's a bit disappointing when feeling the articulation on an SHF like Andy then looking at what's coming like with Zoro, because it isn't hard to make good looking and also effective articulation, but instead we get these ineffective single joints. Obviously don't have Zoro in hand yet (or Sabo, or Shanks, that all share this single jointed setup) so hopefully those will pleasantly surprise.

if you buy shf you have to expect QC issues. I haven't had a single figure that didn't have any in years. Figma doesn't seem to have that problem. Their figures are very clean and just werks. Mafex also never dissapointed me. Only shf is really fucking bad for some reason.

Their bad QC is more in paint, rough molded parts and scratches from throwing the parts in the assembly bin.

This is actually my first SHF with any true QC like a broken part. Things like loose or overly tight joints I don't really consider QC, as that happens with all sorts of figures, regardless of price.

I'm actually getting my first Mafex soon, so I'm interested in how that will turn out.
Figma very rarely has any QC issues, but occasionally some bad paint (but what doesn't) and also paint transfer.
I've had some issues with AY looseness, and paint sometimes (only once something bad enough that I had to complain about it), but nothing else, really.

Aside from Figma which very rarely has any flaws (but also are rarely particularly exceptional figures, though I haven't had any of their post Samus Dread figures, which look like they may be), I would genuinely put all the others (I guess in this case I'm just talking about SHF and AY/Revoltech) in the same range of QC. I know SHF QC gets clowned on here, but I can only speak from my own experiences. I should also add that I have many more recent SHF than any other import figures.

I remember when I got a Figma Deku, then its torso broke after moving it once.
I got a replacement part from AmiAmi, then later sold the Deku, and the person that bought it from me then broke the replacement torso joint as well.

You just reminded me that my BRS TV ver had a busted joint in the torso and I think arm. Back then Amiami was so helpful, they sent me a couple of black Figma joints for me to replace these with. Probably too many people abused the generosity of these stores because their CS used to be incredible, but they seem a lot less willing to help nowadays.

They're still kind enough to help nowadays in my experience. When my Heat of Passion's shoulder joint popped apart, they gave me a full replacement.
They're just more stringent and demand incontrovertible proof that you actually bought it.
I actually feel kinda like shit because I was both busy and in an emotional dip around the time I got it replaced (not because of it, mind you) so I didn't bother to fill out the customer satisfaction survey that followed and when I finally tried, it had expired. Made me feel like a dick, because I wanted to tell them that I appreciated the help.

His shoulder butterfly joints actually move out quite a bit, but they're not very helpful because his wide torso blocks the arms from going forward very much so you can really do that many 2 handed sword poses

Fuuko is not as good
The biggest issue is she has a bad case of PAK peanut knees.
Her toe joints move quite a lot but they're cut in a very strange way that they don't look natural at all
Her torso has decent movement but it's easy to make a lot of big gaps appear

I saw that the knees were a bit weird, and I was confused. They could have done them way better, way more easily. And they have done that.
I think the next step would be for bandai's teams to communicate more, because the SHF line is less like a cohesive brand of action figures, and more like 7 lines in one at times. Most of the figures are serviceable at worst, but it's a grab bag where you could get an S-tier figure or like a B-tier figure.
