One Piece X Transformers crossover when?
Hey, guess what? This Devastation Optimus is part of the "A" level Studio Series toys. That means you're going to see millions of them for months on end, along with Studio Series Transformers One B-127.Like how Transformers One Optimus and Studio Series '86 Bumblebee are everywhere right now.
So if anyone can weigh in on thisI've got to move into a smaller place and there's not enough room for all of my stuff, so I'm putting a bunch of my things into storage, including most of my Transformers figures. What's the best way to store then to avoid things like yellowing? I'm asking because a bunch of my old video game equipment yellowed from being in moving boxes in storage over the last few years and I don't know how to prevent it. I've got my TFs packed into ziplock bags in moving boxes but I'm not sure if that'll protect them.
>>11230154>Transformers One Optimus and Studio Series '86 Bumblebee are everywhere right now.I've got two nearby Targets and one Walmart, One Optimus and 86 Bumblebee haven't been plenty in either of them. The only thing I've been seeing are a bunch of Legacy United Voyagers and the white rocklord thing.
Remember when Optimus turned into a surfing gorilla
>>11230154>Studio Series '86 Bumblebee are everywhere right now.Could have fooled me.
>>11230158So did lots of people assume Optimus Primal was Optimus Prime?
>>11230154Oh no cool toys that are widely available! Aaahhh save me hasbro!
>>11230135Too small, knees self-destruct, do not give Hasbro money for that shit
>>11230161He's supposed to be, the cartoon got it wrong.
>>11230078Slight jokes/hyperbole aside, the '86 movie is kinda similar to the first Bay movie in a lot of ways; it's incredibly dumb, but very fun and visually superb. Blurr and Wheelie were annoying as fuck though.
>>11230161To be fair that one was explicitly sold as Prime
>>11230133>>11230143Looks like the average Optimus Prime truck mode.
>>11230145eh one piece is ugly. even if it is fun. might make some interesting TFs..i'm more concerned with when this goes on clearance. maybe next chrimbo.
>>11230155if they're in boxes, you've stopped the first culprit: sunlight. the second culprit is heat, so make sure you keep those boxes inside in the air conditioning. I'm not sure if bags help, I think whatever they outgas it's actually better to let it escape? could be wrong there.also sorry to hear about that, i've been in your shoes twice as often as i've been out of them.
>>11230126Americans have it good, Deluxe are $40 Voyagers $50 and leaders $80. Moved over to 3rd party and have not looked back since. I got a MS-02 Light of Freedom cheaper then SS86 Prime costs here.
>>11230172it's funny how they had that concept, and optimus and megatron were tiny. Especially since the REAL primal and megatron were ultras and were in the same wave. they were obviously kinda making it up as they went.
>yet another Optimus Prime
I can't wait for the gamer edition Shockwave and add him to my Shockwave collection. I call them the Shock Council of the Multiverse.
>>11230177It's on the shittier spectrum of truck modes. It gets mogged by pretty much every other Optimus currently available.
>>11230198Motherfucker its Transformers, what did you expect???
>>11230223don't be fucking willfully dense. We've had like TEN fucking Optimus Primes in the last year. >ooooo its a sposed to have the same character over and over cuz transformers is just ooptimus prime just like in my coloring boox :)
>>11230145I, for one, can't wait for this frog.
>>11230172his chess partner and fellow High Field Marshall General: G2 Rapido. May he reign forever.
>>11230226>
>>11230192Hasbro/Kenner was still on the G2 mindset of Big Name across the spectrum for size classes. Optimus and Megatron were going to have like six toys each before G2 ended had the last few not been cancelled. Feels like Kenner shifted gears quickly into Beast Wars though so even Basic Optimus/Megatron come across more as an oddity than the status quo.
>>11230173I think the 86 movie looks like shit to be honestNot in terms of fidelity, everyone is really nice and shiny and clean and chrome, but literally everything else about it sucks. The animation is still basically the same poorly animated stuff as the cartoon, but worse than that, the pacing (both in the story and animation) is absolutely dreadful. Every story beat feels like it has multiple cut parts. Battle on autobot city is a great example of this. So many scenes just come and go with little to no satisfying transition with a handful of iconic scenes in-between. It's not even intentionally sporadic like say, the d-day scene in saving private ryan, it's just bad. The rodimus awakening and end of the movie in particular is genuinely some of the most schizophrenic scene placement I've ever seen in animation (and unicron's exploding animation is actually horrible) it's so fucking bizarre.I guess it makes sense for a movie that's basically an extended G1 episode, but they really should've a studio that actually knows what they're doing. The movie is basically carried by its handful of iconic scenes and quotes alone.
Thoughts on my current Deceptichud collection 2 months in?
>>11230173>>11230257baytards need to be excised from this fandom
>>11230259You assembled this collection in 3 months? That's sick. Love thundercrackers dog lol
>>11230261Bayverse isn't even my favorite transformers content you fucking fag, but I'm also not blind to the really poor quality of the 86 movie that gets endlessly fellated by nostalgiafags
>>11230268You're just a fucking tastelet who's incapable of viewing things in context. >It's bad cuz it's not gots asplosions and cg! the robots don't gots polygons! that's like a baby show! where are the america soldier mens going PEW PEW PEW!!!!!
>>11230268I thought it was generally held that the animation is downright impeccable. it looks superb to me. haven't actually seen it, looks a bit dry for my taste.
>boxy robots that don't look realistic>no cg>a fucking cartoon, no real people>writing is a total shitshow, doesn't accept the realities of war and killing>doesn't properly venerate americacan't believe people watch that shit
>>11230259I'm jelly of your seekers. I have Starscream but hasbro refuses to reissue Thundercracker and Skywarp for some fucking reason
>>11230287Because they were licenced as exclusives to target. If they want to make more, target would have to ok it
>>11230226Go look at thw list of OP toys, retard
>>11230259pretty sick dude, but...I don't want to say it but, who's in charge?
>>11230263I sold almost all my lego slop for it. I enjoy it a lot more though. >>11230287I got a really good deal on them both. It was like 80.Ignore the shitty windshield on Ironhide, I made it slightly better after taking this pic.
>>11230293Shocky is acting boss until I get my Megatron in the mail.
>>11230294aw man, i can't imagine selling my legos. even though i do seem to oscillate between brief obsession and long periods of apathy.
>>11230227If you mean when they make Spittor/Diver, join the club.
>Takara Leo Prime is missing two of his blastersWhy?
>>11230301wait really? he doesn't have the full set of four? does he come with the extra gun that Dark Leo got at least?
>>11230259Commendable. Good luck finding a Bombshell that doesn't cost a leg. Sellers on fb are your best option.
>>11230301You know what you did.
>>11230305I have him in the back, he's just slightly hidden. >>11230297Fair. I just didn't feel very connected to them anymore.
>>11230145>tfw no Going Merry/Thousand Sunny transformer.>tfw no General Franky turning into...another Franky robot
>>11230294Did you *unkill* ironhide?
>>11230324I tried. Looks alright.
>>11230154>Like how Transformers One Optimus and Studio Series '86 Bumblebee are everywhere right now.
>>11230126Not gonna lie, I kinda like the angled grill in robot mode. I’ll need to see him next to other Primes, especially G1 Legacy, but that axe is a big miss.
>>11230334there is a logic to that... more of a fit torso shape
>>11230302No, just two. He's missing the shorter pair.
>>11230339fucking insane, how can he do his big mane gun thingy
I wonder if there are going to be any good black friday deals
>>11230259>Buzzsaw and Laserbeakdid you buy two Soundwaves?
>>11230340You, uh, just pretend the side blasters are there. That's literally how Takara is advertising it, 5mm ports with nothing to go on them.
>>11230350oh were those guns red and black in the anime?wait so he doesn't even have the maximal buster?
>>11230344Yea, I sold the legacy one to a friend and kept the Nemesis one. Cost me like 70 total for him and his kids.
>>11230358>>11230344>have to buy two to get both birds.Hasbro really fucked the fans there huh?
>>11230360Technically you could just buy the Laserbeak that came in a two-pack 5 years ago, but the 3-pack Soundwave is the one with the better deco.
>>11230114Wtf is this?G1 but with an articulation kit?
>>11230350Good thing I 3d printed extras.
>>11230329They quite literally are spilling off shelves at every Walmart
>>11230364That one has the head nobody wants
>>11230360They should've just re-released the Walmart pack with Soundwave, Laserbeak, and Ravage and sold Buzzsaw with a Soundblaster retool.
>>11230296objectively the only correct answer. you're alright.
>>11230126>>11230143Damn, it sure is a shame we won't be getting anything else from Devestation after this bombs and shelfwarms for 10+ years.
>>11230378the logical choice
>>11230381Being an Optimus Prime, might sell anyway. The death would be from the generic multipack.
>>11230300>Spittor/DiverGod, I really want the original BW 2 Diver toy, but they're upwards of $300 on Ebay last time I checked.
>>11230378I see you have autism cause you changed the fusion cannon hand to be opposite to the kibble. Who is the one in the background?
>>11230392If they don't make at least Diver (preferably both Diver and Spittor) from that mold I'm going to be very cross.
Got this guy, he looked too cool
>>11230466Ban phone posters
>>11230466every hotspot ever looks like a weedy little string bean post-mmc
What's your favorite tf glup shitto? Mine personally is Thundertron..>space pirate>turns into some robo panther thing>fights Megatron to a standstillAbsolute based motherfucker
>>11230481he's meant to be a lion, he's just... a terrible lionthey had two chances at this character, they both have -stupendous- robot modes and monkeyshit beast modes.
Any UKnons still holding out hope for an 86 optimus restock anytime soon? Saw some talk of hasbro dropping the ball for uk distribution across different lines
>>11230529Genuinely not worth the retail
>>11230115Best Transformers game to date. Better than what High Moon made. Platinum is best developer
>>11230489I think it's just because it's a cybertronian alt mode instead of an earth alt mode. That always seems to produce the most dogshit animal/vehicle forms.
>>11230532Eh?I like Devastation but it's not really as good as WfC/FoCa
>>11230533there have been plenty of wonderful robotic animal modes.. and good lord lots of shitty ones
>>11230534Yeah, but most shooting games just have you shoot things. Combat games are always more versatile because of all the combos and styles
>>11230538Devastation is not DMCV
>>11230481Nitro ZeusI hate bayformers but a Decepticon with a gold necklace is very amusing to me. Shame all his toys are shit, if they G1ized him I'd buy it instantly. Seeker with a shockwave head lol.
Turd of the year is back inhttps://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/282837?o=2
>>11230546>turd of the yearbut devastation op isn't even out yet
>>11230547and it won't be by this year now will it
>>11230542Just looked it up. It's amazing that they fucking skipped on BOTH his most recognizable features, the chain and the graffiti
>>11230548That doesn't even drop this yearIt's a STRONG contender of "Worst TF of 2025" alreadyIrredeemably dogshit
>>11230551You ok lil buddy
>>11230551that's not really the point, is itit can't be turd of (this) year, which was what BBTSanon was talking about
>>11230542Nitro zeus is a good one, I'd love for him to get chugified some day
>>11230554>>11230556Actual ESL Anons tonightHoly shitHe said SS86 was Turd of the year (it is)Anon here >>11230547 claimed Devestation Optimus isEven tho he's not out this yearSo Anon >>11230551 states that Devastation Optimus is a strong contender for "Worst of 2025" alreadyChrist actually dyslexic retards
>>11230560and that's logical to you
>>11230560You seem to think I'm participating in your little shitpost
>>11230546lol poorfag, it's a excellent figure and pretty fun to transform.
How would you pull off a Legacy Sari?
>>11230632a included TM sized figure of her child design because its cute and a Headmaster of her teen design that has a transtector that builds on it. Make up some lore shit that they used Headmasters tech to build her a body to help fight alongside the Autobots.
>>11230580Not even close. Maybe when they fix the issues it has, but that isn't likely. If something comes with an arm snapped off and a leg broken, I wouldn't call that excellent
>>11230649Damn, poor and unlucky! Mine is perfect, no flaws at all.
>>11230529Omegalock says there getting more stock in December but they are upcharging for it
>>11230542I want to say all the TLK voyagers were hitsI can't recall any misses
>>11230529Not really. I'm happy with the Takara release of Kingdom/ER Op I got back in 21/22.No need for an 86 ver.I'm hoping I can snag some good shit from BBTS despite their insane shipping costs.
Are Blokees any good? Really like the Sentinel Prime they have.
>>11230658I'm happy with the 86 as a purely cartoon version of him but I would like to see a better middle ground figure between the cartoon and the original toys designs, the ER is okay in that regard but I dislike the booty wheels, they need to figure something out with them, I'd like if they were still visible though to retain as many vehicle features as possible in robot mode.
>>11230542I used to use Siege Shackwave with a gold chain I bought from ebay as G1 Nitro Zeus
>>11230665The "classic" TFOne figures look really goodthe ones you posted look kind of average
Some of the recent Optimus releases and reveals have made me realize I did not properly appreciate SS38. I have not touched it one time since I got 112. 38 is objectively better looking. It only falls short in ankle articulation and the infamous exploding shins. Does anyone have the leg/foot upgrade kit for this guy? I think I need it, it will make this awesome figure perfect. In a couple ways it’s already better looking than it’s MPM counterpart.
Oh, that upgrade kit is long gone. Fantastic
I was eyeing the Studio Series Constructicons on Amazon just now. Why is Scrapper $35, but Bonecrusher is $25?
>>11230779One is Deluxe, one is Voyager
>>11230779Scrapper has more ratchet joints for stability when it’s a leg for Dev.
>>11230259lol starscream looks like an odd one out against all the purple
>>11230259"Megatron is stuck in alt mode! I, Starscream am now the leader of the Decepticons!"
>>11230126>>11230143Even though the truck mode is off and the axe sucks, I'll still defend this on the basis that it's the only G1 toon style Optimus in recent memory that doesn't fake the grill in bot mode, for that alone I respect it. Also it reminds me of Robotmasters Convoy, which I've always sorta liked despite its own jank
>>11230305>Good luck finding a Bombshell that doesn't cost a legYou have to be joking you can get him most places for $25 ish.
Hyrax transformer when?
>>11230871If some movie with one comes out and gets huge. They aren't going to make unpopular animals.
>>11230305He and Shrapnel are both being found at Ross for $8
>>11230259Did you try soaking Shockwave's parts in 91% alcohol or did you scrub the black paint off? It looks like the black stained the legs.
>>11230665Modern day action masters.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMeTwSKjT0g
>>11230800That's good character design, if I knew nothing about any of these characters my eyes would zero right in on the red and I would (correctly) guess that in-universe, he's really the one to watch out for.
>>11230259Why is there a dog
>>11231147You fucking know why you're just looking for an excuse to whine about IDW again.
>>11231148Idw kino?
>>11231149Yes schizo, idw kino
>>11231149You touch kids ChungusPedo>>11231148I don’t even study IDW much just wondering why theres a Lego dog being mixed in
>>11231178Well okay. Basically Thundercracker becomes kind of a prisoner, kind of a defector in the war and hangs out with humans for a long time. They let him have a dog named Buster to keep him company and he basically learns empathy for organics that way.Thundercracker's thing was that he wasn't all in on the war in the first place and always had second thoughts. Eventually he got pulled back into the war, but I stopped reading IDW so idk what happened to Buster. I hope he lived.
>>11231181At best Buster died of old age, who knows what goes through some of the writers heads?
>>11231183one thing that's kind of common is that one writer writes in something they think is good and then another writer comes in and wants a clean slate or to do something for cheap shock value so they'll do shit like kill off a love interest/pet/whatever so they can "return to the status quo" and get some publicity out of it. That weird period between runs where everything gets upended so the next writer can do his own thing is one of the most frustrating parts of western comics, especially if the writer is a real fucking asshole with no respect for his predecessor.
>>11231147I didn't see the lego dog on thundercracker and I thought you were talking about fat fuck ravage kek
>>11231187Archie post Penders is a clear example of that, literally giving a lobotomy to Charmy was mean as fuck jesus man
>>11230636that kinda works actually
>>11230772sucks. those things are expensive in the first place and they disappear without any notice. sometimes they linger for years, other times just poof.
>>11230580>>11230651This thing is worse in every single way to ER and othersYou're coping and trolling
>>11230824torso is just too short is all. everything else is proportional. (tiny wheels aside)
>>11231191ditto
>>11231192That was kind of a forced hand situation, though.
I hate how they shafted my man
>>11231191Same
>>11231211I like how I shafted your man (tongue emoji)
>>11231200>This thing is worse in every single way to ERThe only thing worse than ER Optimus here is your eyesight.
>>11230546There's no way SS86 OP is Turd of the Year when Quake exists
>>11231192>>11231208Yeah Archie is a different story because the big changes were all external mandates. It was probably not the best idea to tard Charmy out instead of just magically de-aging him or something but shit like the Egg Grapes were all responses to the lawsuits and Sonic Team's sweeping new mandates, not malice on behalf of Ian and the new team. A lot of the team still hangs on to pre-Genesis Wave Archie, working on fan continuations and stuff. Ian's all but gone on record saying he's been trying his best for years now to get Archie to at least be acknowledged but Sonic Team is really bitter about it, so there's still a lot of love among the team for the old stuff.
>>11231243People are retarded about Quake he's really good in hand. Very solid and chunky and looks great in robot mode. Only real issue is the turret doesn't rotate but some tanks don't have rotating turrets either so it's not the biggest deal.
So what did Warden do anyway? Did he do engineering and sculpts or is that all Takara Tomy's guys?
>>11230934Yea I did. I like it more than the Bridge ver.
>>11231247>but some tanks don't have rotating turrets either so it's not the biggest dealYeah and those suck
>>11231247think it's only one sperg in these threads.
>>11231248The way I approximately understand it is that Hasbro is largely responsible for the initial work, like drawing up the proposals, and picking which characters will actually be made and how the lines will be populated along with wheeling and dealing any exclusivesThen Hasbro and Takara shoot design docs back and forth to each other, with Takara being more responsible for hammering the toys out into actual 3d objects
>>11231251Quake isn't even the worst in that wave so idk why he's got such a anti-hard on for him unless he's that guy who gasses up Titans Return all the time
>>11231267Who do you think turned out worse?
>>11231251>>11231247Just has the wrong colors and a shit altmode that gets mogged by a 40 year old toy, its not a big deal guys!
>>11231270>oh no he's not pink enough AAAAAA IM GOING INSANE>>11231268Easily Slipstream.
What the fuck are you supposed to do when you have most of the cool characters and the rest left are expensive glup shittos?
>>11231270Yeah but the robot mode looks way better in the new one
>>11231276Find your new favourite Glup Shitto>>11231270I mean, the new robot is better, a bit more generic but betterBut woof that new tank. Jesus Christ.
>>11231274>oh no he's not pink enoughOr blue or fucking grey>>11231281Thats the bare minimum and not even that much of a challenge.
>>11230580It's an ok figure held back by questionable engineering choices and no forward or backward ankle movement is a big flaw. I bought it and sold it due to it being so underwhelming
>>11231247>looks great in robot modeThe entire point of transformers is that they're more than just a robot. Both modes should look at least passable, something that Quake's tank mode fails to do. Selling him on "the robot mode looks great" is like trying to sell a house with a leaky roof with "but the walls are sturdy at least". Yeah, having sturdy walls is important, but it's equally important that the roof at least keeps water out. If a transformer's alt-mode isn't going to have any care put into it, it shouldn't be a transformer in the first place.
>>11231294>The entire point of transformers is that they're more than just a robot.tell that to tooners hun
>>11231295Shut up and don't use my posts as some kind of support for your obsessive hate boner.
Anybody made a good Skybound Optimus Megatron arm yet?
>>11231289>no forward or backward ankle movement is a big flawThat is reasonable and I agree, the head is also super limited in it's range. One thing that isn't super limited though is those shoulder joints, I love the faux butterfly joints and how due to the transformation you can even swivel them back a bit too, I think the arms and fun transformation are making it my favourite Prime figure I own.
>>11231301for 86*
>>11231274>Easily Slipstream.Yeah that mold is really wack, funnily the only part of it I like is the new loathed head, I quite like it.
>>11231298>Vehicle modes are important>BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF SUNBOW!L O L!
>>11231312You know what he means. You're always complaining about the same things every thread.
>>11231295Quake wasn't in the cartoon.
>>11231322No I have no fucking clue what you're talking about because everyone isn't the same person you mentally ill retard
>>11231289Personally I was just really hoping he'd be more bendy. I think he looks really good despite the few missteps but he barely moves above average sans those amazing butterflies. I don't expect yamaguchi tier but I really think they could've spent that budget on more than adding a billion steps to his transformation, not that that's even inherently a bad thing.
I think both are neat
>>11231332A ab crunch would be really cool, but I'm not sure how they would implement it due to how the transformation uses the pelvis, not much to work with there.
>>11231303Yeah, he looks good, don't get me wrong. I thought he had butterfly joints in his shoulders? It's been a minute since I sold him but I'm pretty sure, they clip in pretty good>>11231332That was my hopes, I went in without reviews and for the price it costs in Canada land (139.99 ugh) I only spent 6 dollars more for a MP scaled OP at a LCS>third partyThere is an official Sunstreaker in the pic.
>>11231243This thing is a sinIt's so god damn atrocious in every single way that it's insultingBut Prime beats it because he's $90 god damn Dollars + Tax + Shipping + TipIt's insane people unironically think either are good and not a total scam
>>11231247THERE HE IS
>>11231370You can have problems with Prime, that fineBut this post reads like a malding poorfag wrote it
>>11231374>"Lol malding poorfag">After he spent the $110+ on the scam primeYou're god damn retarded and a total shill cock sucker for even using "Poorfag" in this instanceGet fucked
>>11231386>"I don't own it, I just hardcore sack huff them and defend it for free just fucking because"Genuine mental illness
Recently got something I've had my eye on for some time, never thought I'd be able to get it for as reasonable of a price as I did. He's a fun little guy and works great in my micromaster collection.Sucks that the Q-Transformers mobile game is unplayable, I really would have liked to try that.
>>11231247>some tanks don't have rotating turrets eitherTrue, but the problem with Quake is that the type of tank he's modeled after DOES have a rotating turret, and even if that weren't the case, fixed turret tanks still have barrels that can move slightly from side to side. The new Quake has neither capability while the original toy did.
>>11231401Also got Core Galvatron the other day. He's very fun, and his alt mode is more fun than I thought it would be. Thinking about painting his tank-sword, but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble. His arm articulation leaves a lot to be desired but I understand that it's the best it can be at this size and budget.
>>11231337Ab crunch and better head up are things I really wish would become standard, they're really simple joints that add so much

>>11231946Bro there hasn't been a TF priced right for $40 since Revenge of the Fallen which was 12 years ago and that's accunt5ing for inflation (ie it actually cost $60ish) I think it's why anon accused people taking issue with the cost, if you have stable income you are likely clearing 5k+ a month at a minimum and with how few TFs come out nothing really has the means to break the bank. Only way this makes sense is if you are either underage/grandpa aged fucker with a mediocre paying job (fast food,Grocery, retail or something like a parking lot/Hotel attendant/security) or you are a manchild living off parents still with said mediocre job. Shit can be overpriced and you can make that a reason you don't buy it but to then think the whole thing is shit for it is just projecting how sour grapes you are.

So, finally pulled the trigger on Savage Noble/"Beast Changer". He's a character I've wanted since I was a kid (my parents never got him for me, sadly), and I've been putting off tracking him down until now. Also grabbed a Night Viper, since someone posted him here recently and I thought he looked cool.Anyway, Savage Noble is pretty cool, if a bit weird - his whole thing on the show was that he was entirely organic with no cybernetic components whatsoever (unlike the Maximals in BM, who were cyborgs). Thus, he shapeshifts from one organic creature to another - in his case, his Savage form is a Lindwurm dragon (a long, snakelike dragon with arms, wings, and a tail but no rear legs from European mythology) while his equivalent of a 'robot mode', Noble, becomes a werewolf-looking thing. Both of his forms are unusual, considering he's basically Megatron's cast-offs - while the dragon half makes some sense, it's the wrong species of dragon (TM2 Megatron was a Western dragon and had all four limbs), while to this day I still have no rationalization for where the wolf mode came from. Despite the odd concept behind him, the toy itself is pretty fun - both of his arms have plenty of articulation and his thumb claws can be moved forward, letting him grab and hold things. He also has two gear-driven gimmicks, with the one available in Savage form being his snapping jaws, which open when you press a button on the left side of his (eyeless) head. Sadly, his wings are static.Night Viper is also great, despite his rather clunky appearance in snake mode. He's a Basic-class character - the smallest size class of the Beast machines line - but still packs a lot of articulation thanks to all the extra joints in his robot legs, which become his snake body in beast mode. He also has a springloaded function I didn't know about until after he was already in-hand - pressing the yellow marking on his frill makes his snake head lunge forward and jaws pop open.
>>11231989"Robot" modes. Technically, as Noble, you're supposed to detach the wings and set them aside for a show-accurate appearance, but I'm not a fan of partsforming. He pulls off a pretty good werewolf mode otherwise, and I love the way his color scheme shifts from red to blue; I just wish they put more effort into hiding his dragon head, which just kinda hangs off his back. In this mode, his second gimmick can be used - sliding his unique Spark Crystal (which is a blend of both the Vehicon and Maximal symbols) up unlocks a mechanism in his right arm, and moving the flap on his back makes it spin around; his clear chest reveals all the gears involved in the mechanism, which is cool but odd, because again - he's supposed to be entirely organic. His wolf jaw can open, and he seems to be missing an insert in his head that was supposed to have his eyeballs, though according to Google this is a thing on ALL copies of him. Whatever the case, his eye sockets are completely empty, which is a bit creepy.Night Viper turns into a really lanky snake man. His transformation is surprisingly simple (again, he's just a Basic), but clever - the bulk of it involves the sides of his snake hood hiding his robot hands, while his legs are threaded through his pelvis and lock in place; you can leave his legs in their snake mode to turn him into a Naga, if you want, which is neat. He has a flip-out blade in his right arm cover and his Spark Crystal is hidden in his left, though early concept art shows he was supposed to have another weapon on that side as well. For all of its weirdness, Beast Machines had some genuinely cool designs (and a few creepy ones), and these two are pretty great even by modern standards. I'm thrilled to finally have Savage Noble, and Night Viper turned out to be surprisingly fun for a guy I didn't even know existed until recently. Haven't quite decided which side I'm putting by dragon-dog on, though, considering he was both an enemy and ally on the show.
>>11231974Blitzwing has the same problem as Quake, dude, just not quite as bad. The robot mode is great (aside from the limited shoulder range), but the tank and especially the jet mode just look bad. Transformers are more than just their robot mode.

>>11232562nyoh my godlooking at this.. i'm realizing what the perfect way to do an ideal combinerone guy makes up the upper arm, maybe both upper arms, then two smaller guys make the lower arms and hands. They can lay one guy's leg over another guy's leg, that leaves each of them the legmeat to keep turning into other arm-parts. and it wouldn't require a gap because they are basically scissoring.

>>11232760It's still a fun figure in the same way G1 figures are charming. It was the state of the art back then, and you can see the love and care that was put into it. I still display mine and take it off the shelf to play with every now and then. It's a little too hefty for it's own good in robot mode, but I still think the truck mode is one of the nicest renditions of the flat-nose we've ever gotten. The gimmicks are still fun too, and they're very unobtrusive, which is a bit surprising and admirable given where the franchise as a whole was at during that period. Does it hold a candle to the collector focused figures we're accustomed to nowadays? Not really. But as a piece of history that arguably started that focus on collectors, it's aged just fine.

>>11232975>>11232984It's true that there should be some space there, but that head looks off due to the thin ridge on top of his face, that should be covered by the helmet. Check MP44, that's how the forehead is supposed to look.
>>11233586I don't remember Victorion's color scheme being part of the poll, contrary to Wingblade. But maybe I'm misremembering.
>>11233588it was https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Victorionhttps://tfwiki.net/wiki/Fan_pollsand people voted for Cyan/red/white
>>11233588It's in most archives and wikis. It was the last poll which forced 3 color choices, Blue/cyan/tan, Orange/grey/blue, Cyan/red/white They apparently had a lot more make character fan polls plan like this but the team shifted to Characters and that fucked them over hard with the Prime poll and they stupidly put choices on the list they didn't want to make and didn't expect to win. You don't do that shit. ever. Hell they admitted that's why did vs for Siege and again, the one they thought would win (Needlenose Vs Tracks) lost to another one they doubted anyone would want (Impactor Vs Mirage), which fucked up their disruption because they already had both planed in the main waves and for other exclusives. I only rant this because I don't get why they got away from the very popular "vote a new robot to be made" over themes they kept trying to rig for a certain outcome.
I want a leader class toy of him.
>>11233601Looking at TFP toys in legacy, do you really want him?

>>11233675I'm saying that hasbro will totally jew out and sell a leader sized prime optimus as a commander and throw a bunch of shit from either the weaponizer toy or the beast hunter one to justify the markup.
>>11233569What exactly is Trickdiamond covering with that towel? It's not like she (or any of the others) wears clothing at all or has anything to hide. Even BW/BM characters don't bother covering up, and they canonically DO have bits that might be worth getting self conscious about.
>>11233893Doesn't Trickdiamond canonically have an asshole in the one Legends panel
>>11233467Cheers anon, appreciate it. I'm considering it as smyths can't make their mind up about stock, but if indemand's official statement is true and not them covering their own asses then we're about a month or more behind on restocks which means smyths and other independents might just come in with 86 OP and others in december. tempting, but always a bitch to overpay slightly, especially for an already expensive thing
>>11233583I recall all the deco options on the fan vote sucked, still Hasbro did a last minute change so the deco worked better with the voted origin, "Sea of rust". So the vibrant red and teal that were voted became green and orange rust.

>>11234067oh wait i also have tricranius. he's fine, decent design, ribcage a little shallow (which is even worse on the mammoth partial reuse of that mold), but one of his hands is a stub, and not even a stub you could put a blast effect in.

I'm not sure we'll be able to get the forearm bomb compartment, that might have to be a swap-out part.
>>11234300On one hand the underside of the rat would definitely be compromisedOn the other hand him walking around on his hind legs is such a feature in the show that Takara would no doubt include specific joint work to let you replicate it
>>11230143Optimus has worse toys that cost more, I don't see the big deal about that one.
>>11234328Good gravy! He's naked!
>>11233991The funny part is the deco is laid out backwards from how the voting made people thought it was going to be.

>>11234328that is an extremely stupid truck mode but it's gotta be mistransformed, right? the feet pokin up, there's grooves behind them.
>>11234350Yeah, the feet should be down, and the chest windows on the back should be on the sides covering the arm attachment points. It should also be noted that it's really intended to be attached to the super mode backpack to form a full firetruck thing.
>>11234354That thing looks nothing like a firetruck.
>>11234339All these options suck, A could work if the light tan was white.
>>11234350Oh no, the feet fit into different grooves
>>11234355actually it kinda does. the length of the cab is very firetrucky.
>>11234358Huffer's giant woman sister might work, but who knows how Hasbro would have actually laid it out.
>>11234355That's why I said "firetruck thing". All the UT designs are fictional futuristic vehicles, Cybertron Optimus has siren lights and his big guns are styled to look somewhat like a firetruck's ladder, hence "firetruck".
>>11234355>>11234354>That thing looks nothing like a firetruck.Wasn't that a line in the show?

>>11234354>>11234367Actually, I was wrong. I just got mine out, and the feet do actually just do that. You can't fold them down. What looks like grooves for them are actually much thinner and used for the hinges that move the super mode feet.

I think I'm going to get Armada Megs nowhttps://youtu.be/10IA98Xb6k4?si=qLlN_iOwEokt3VGi
>>11234503Officially, no. She's not a Fossilizer - she doesn't come apart like the others do. She also only has a single 5mm port on her whole body, which is the hole her tail plugs into.Still, she and her sister Dracodon are neat little Core class characters with lots of charm and good articulation, so they're worth picking up even if they aren't combiners.
My Quake arrived early, yay!
>>11234473naw it was only his regular body i think. he used it against tarantulas in like, the second episode.the generations toy compromised a bit too, i'm not sure MP could do it at least the same way.

>>11235500Because jets don't move on the floor so undercarriage isn't that bad, this almost looks like it'd scrape against the floor when driving.
>>11235510you are completely right, but i must point out that if a truck has shit scraping the ground, it just wastes fuel. if a jet has shit scraping the air, it can like, not fly. and then fall and then you die. at least if a truck runs out of gas, it just stops.

>>11235955It isn't accurate to the G1 cartoon so it doesn't have an accurate robot mode chest.
>>11235968Devastation optimus is literally just the toon optimus in 3D. There's barely a difference.

Anyone here familiar with 3d pens? I know you can print cool little models of weapons for your transformer but would it be possible to just do that with a 3d pen instead?Or hell, even making pegs for other toy weapons so they fit into a transformer's hand?
>>11236265Prime is English for Convoy.
>>11236271but it says prime in katakana
>>11236268>cool models with a 3d pennot without really careful planning, sanding, and possibly the use of a mold?>pegs for other weaponsi think that would actually work, if you were very careful. but attaching them to the existing weapons, not so easy. an easier way to do that is to drill a 5mm hole in it, insert part of a 5mm rod, and leave the rest of it hanging out.but my biggest drill bit is 3mm so I dunno. do they make em that big for dremels?
>>11236276>the use of a mold? Now I'm curious to look and see if there are any.>an easier way to do that is to drill a 5mm hole in it, insert part of a 5mm rod, and leave the rest of it hanging out.Oh yeah thats a really smart idea actually! I might do that, assuming I could>do they make em that big for dremels?Because I have no clue
>>11236282well obviously existing molds for the weapons you want to make don't exist. you would make them yourself with silicone or somesuch.yeah I think uh, 5mm is a little big for that kinda thing. you might have to use a bigass power drill.
>>11236111It doesn't matter how much the drawings shift in the cartoon, you can still tell the MP10 head is not accurate.
>>11236070It blows my mind that before MP44 there was not a single Prime toy that actually made the cap bill look somewhat accurate to the cartoon. The closest we got was with the original Optimal Optimus, for fucks sake.
>>11236273It's production art for an American cartoon that would get dubbed into Japanese years later. Thus the name on them in either language would be Optimus Prime.

>>11236318There's still a general idea of what a character looks like, wonky animation notwithstanding. Optimus had a rounder head in season one but after season 2 and the movie he had a look that MP44 captures well. On the other hand MP10's/SS86 head sculpt is just it's own thing.Try to show a random pic of Optimus from season 2 onwards to somebody who knows jack shit about Transformers and make them choose what looks closer to it, MP10 or MP44.
