It can’t deteriorate, but it can stays stagnant. The genes of a clan/tribe stay the same, the members of that group look similar, have a specific specialty. Maybe they want to look for new blood to diversify for survival. I’m just brainstorming.

In this scenario, The genepool issues don’t exist. But I want to introduce something that incentives clans to seek others for divercification. I can’t think of something biological but it could be something more economical.

Here’s the setting. The world as we knew it is gone. Nature has taken back what was hers and The world looks like what it was before the humans took over. Now there’s pockets of civilsations spread throughout.

I’m imaginging that they’re in the level of technology of the first settlers of america. Homesteads, no electronics. Gunpowder still exits, since that doesn’t use anything that was destroyed by the Event.

I think there’s going to be some children that are tired or seek adventure and go out in the world by themselves and that’s how the genepool naturally expands.

Never bothered with Fortnite before, but with all the talk of a female lizard (actually a dragon) being released, I thought I'd give it a try. Didn't realize how brainlessly easy it would be to play - I bought the pass for $8, jumped into a few games (solo, so me vs 99 other players), grabbed a shotgun, and sent a lot of kids home crying. I unlocked Synthesis here and all of her related items (as well as some stuff from the pirate guy, some lego stuff, and a couple of other random odds and ends) in just under an hour.
Didn't know you could dye your characters in this - I made her suit black and scales purple. Cute derg, I think she's worth the money I spent on the pass, especially if I stick with it and keep playing.

From an animators point of view this is incredible.

Creating this short animation, with this quality, would cost you $20-50 000 (depends on how quickly you want it and size of studio).

For proof of concept this is better than 99.99% of manual labor.

Sending this to a studio and saying you want exactly this would lower production costs immensely as they'd have a clear art direction to follow, rather than the hundreds, if not thousands of iterations you normally see.

Seedance 3 is said to be able to create 20 minute videos in like 30 seconds. I can totally see all movies and anime being remade using the tech into whatever artstyle you enjoy.

A lot of people hate anime but enjoy the live action adaptations. I hate the live action because the physics always look like shit. I also hate dubs because it always fails to deliver the emotional intent of the original. Remaking the animation to fit the language isn't currently plausible but with Ai it is. Examples right now include Ai redoing the mouth so the motion fits what they are saying.

I think it a subject worth discussing. I could go on for pages and pages of observations, but I'll try to limit myself to the direct discussion. LLMs are very good at pattern matching, but pattern application becomes obviously robotic in the manner of earlier chatbots.
You have to do lots of hand holding. On that, it's useful to include in every exchange an instruction to not start writing until you explicitly say OK. You need to force it to stay in outline mode to have an idea of what it's going to do. For dialogue you can steer things by generally describing what characters say, and how they feel about something. But, what I've found is you start approaching a prompt that is about half the size of the scene the LLM will write. Or, more than half.
One aggravation is describing ulterior motives. Even if you explicitly say a character is keeping something secret, the LLM flashes on that information in such a way to incorporate it directly into the story as a whole. Character behavior and psychology from the LLM ain't exactly logical unless you do way more hand holding.
As you say, I've found once an LLM latches onto something, it's hell to break if from that pattern. Sometimes a clean memory wipe do over from start is needed.
I guess one may vary the vocabulary and description by asking it to mimic certain works or writers. That's if you are familiar with an erotic writer or work that you like. Good luck getting an LLM to mimic the variety in The Olympia Reader, or the 1960s era Continental Classics book collection. Or, say, a collection from the ASSM Usenet group, or Literotica, etc. Most companies ain't training on smut. So, at best, what you get is the Wikipedia summary of styles the LLM is aware of, but not the style itself.

Personally I found the best way to direct the model (at least GLM) is to give the basic breakdown of a scene for what it needs for the immediate future- and save following plotpoints for after that scene unless I want the pace to go much faster.

Generally giving the general tone of the story first helps keep the basic tone right. With the admitted problems it tends to default to very samey religious metaphors and poetic language. That and it has a really disgusting habit of having to add a summary line to each big scene, which just reads as incredibly cliched and amateur. But generally when I say what I want to happen in the scene it does it quite well.

Xialong meanwhile I'll tell it what I'll want and it'll try to get it done in a single paragraph and move on to the next scene, and trying to tell it to go back and rewrite it'll ignore me and keep trying to go on. It's directness allows it to dodge some cliches which were annoying, but the new problem is critical if I'm trying to write a scene to jack off to.
