Cop videos on Youtube are more entertaining than most tv shows. The stupidity of criminals never gets old (less they're brown and keep getting away with it because liberal judges)

The idea that she loved that fat manchild tokita was more immersion breaking than any of the weird visuals. I refuse to believe a single person who glazes this movie found that emotional or touching in any way.

Lmao, leave it to an anti-nolanoid to prop up literal slop.
>>

I can remember scenes from The Cell. And that proves its artistic value is a thousand times better than any Nolan film. I can't remember a single scene from Nolan slop. Memento is his only decent work.

I can remember scenes from Nolan films just fine. It's (you) problem.

It's funny, I don't mind it when they go full black, as in, they just add in a fuck ton of black people. I don't see it as blackwashing at that point, but rather, the "black" version of it. They did it with thee wizard of Oz, Cinderella, etc. This is what I prefer as it is obvious that I will do my best to avoid it.
Now, when a single character is blackwashed, then there is a problem and it makes my blood boil.

I just hate dubbed musicals. The recent Les Miserables is good because the audio captured isn't dubbed. They all wore an earpiece that was playing the songs on piano to sing to. It's just better that way
>>
>>217482005
Nah, the whole advantage of film is you can edit it into being the most ideal version of the musical. I want the movie version to be as close to baseline as possible and leave the subtleties that come from spontaneous performance to live renditions. If you're not gonna take advantage of the medium you're working in, I don't think you should be working in it.

It is literally impossible to be a woman. You are so beautiful, and so smart, and it kills me that you don't think you're good enough. Like, we have to always be extraordinary, but somehow we're always doing it wrong.
>You have to be thin, but not too thin. And you can never say you want to be thin. You have to say you want to be healthy, but also you have to be thin. You have to have money, but you can't ask for money because that's crass. You have to be a boss, but you can't be mean. You have to lead, but you can't squash other people's ideas. You're supposed to love being a mother, but don't talk about your kids all the damn time. You have to be a career woman but also always be looking out for other people.
>You have to answer for men's bad behavior, which is insane, but if you point that out, you're accused of complaining. You're supposed to stay pretty for men, but not so pretty that you tempt them too much or that you threaten other women because you're supposed to be a part of the sisterhood.
>But always stand out and always be grateful. But never forget that the system is rigged. So find a way to acknowledge that but also always be grateful.
>You have to never get old, never be rude, never show off, never be selfish, never fall down, never fail, never show fear, never get out of line. It's too hard! It's too contradictory and nobody gives you a medal or says thank you! And it turns out in fact that not only are you doing everything wrong, but also everything is your fault.
>I'm just so tired of watching myself and every single other woman tie herself into knots so that people will like us. And if all of that is also true for a doll just representing women, then I don't even know.

The speech doesn't pass the Sally-Anne test. Her character is a Barbie living in Barbieland and it's a plot point that Barbieland has been completely sheltered from real world gender issues. Her character shouldn't have familiarity with any of the things brought up in the speech.
>>
>>217482516
Trick question. Sally knows Anne is a thieving bitch and will instinctively look in her box (likely also stolen).
>>
>>217471371
i had forgotten about mueller and avenatti that was a very cringe arc
>>
>>217482552
It was Anne's marble that Sally stole. She knows Anne will have taken it back so she first looks in the box. If Anne was the thief then Sally would just take the marble with her. But Sally knows she can just steal Anne's marble again, so it's more convenient to leave it.

Even reddit has zero hype. Their most hopeful comment is: Since its 'like two episodes', it must have cost much less than a series so it can't lose them that much money.
And I haven't seen a single person mention Sigourney. The nerd bait didn't work

The only way he beats the Emperor is by ultimately stepping back and trusting everyone else to do the right thing. They do. They do because Luke saw a spark inside all of them that they didn't even know was there and being around Luke brought out the best in them. It's so beautiful to me.

Are you referring to the carradine kung fu tv show? i swear this show influenced like all the top movie guy of the later 20th c but i never see a single mention of it online like it just never got revisited by the next generation, it's effective lost media even though you can probably just watch it
>>

>kung fu tv show
I'm 32 and the only reason I know this show exists was from watching Kill Bill around my dad and him telling me about it as well as the (somewhat prominent) mention of it in the movie Office Space.
>>
>>217482650
well it was just the first that came to mind given it had an eastern philosophy in a western setting which suited it best, but theres many other examples of the simple formula serial tv show that goes on for years and seemingly 'nothing' happens, even series like the X-files and their monster of the week, or all the self contained star trek episodes of old, people like that sort of think i feel but all we get is these long season long arc story shows these days and im really pretty fuckin tired of them.
>>
>>217482084
it reminds me of the microsoft people trying to name their console, it is coming from accounting people not trippy creatives. it has to be so generic that it can't strike a single person as weird or kooky. hence 'x box' 'x box x' 'star wars star fighter'

What I don't understand is how JK wants him to replicate these jazz musicians from 60 years ago who were all fat, alcoholics, and high while playing.

I guess you could argue that the niggas were just playing shit for how it "felt", not intending for a future where some bald prick berates his students for not matching Tyrone's shaky alcky hand.

Am I retarded for just now realizing that the message could be that JK's character is retarded for demanding perfection from something that is inherently imperfect?
>>
>>217482523

Yea, Jazz is all about expression, and giving personal touches. Its about letting your soul shine through. It’s like wanting perfection from a painting
