It's unironically blackpilling that 300 million goyim subscribe to Netflix.
I never had a netflix subscription and never will.
>>217381042>2.9b profit>0.3b tax lol wat
>>217381137Each of the international subscribers is paying a fuckton then. Also many countries don't have a population over 10m.
>>217382542Why do you think people don’t care? That’s like saying nobody minds their tv/streaming device forcing commercials on them because people keep buying them. Every major corporation is doing the woke dance. People that don’t like it put up with it because there’s little alternative. It’s a little ridiculous if you assume people aren’t becoming fatigued by it outside of this board.

>>217383693Ron looks better than Harry for instance.
This is not a real movie. The entire thing is just “Superman and Lex Luthor aura farming.” Literally every Superman scene is him standing up in a stoic pose while epic music plays. Same with Luthor, he only exists to look cool. It gets annoying how long he just stands there while the epic soundtrack swells. Like, we get it, he’s Superman, stop doing that. It’s the same thing Snyder did, but even worse because of the music.
>>217382970>Not-Putin*Not-enyahuThe conflict was depicted allegorically with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer.
>>217375007They had to spend an entire movie convincing me that a regular (albeit rich) dude would be a viable threat to a dude who’s basically God. Only slightly related, but I spent that whole movie looking at Lex, being like “Where have I seen this fucker before?” only to realize he was Nux from Fury Road.

>>217382263Pic related is part of Morrison’s review of 2025. Not sure what you mean by authentic so you’ll have to expand your thoughts for me if you care to keep the discussion up. Clark does have an arc. His arc is him reframing his ethical system from one reliant on the expectation of others to one driven by his own intuitions. Note that Clark was basically already doing this, but he THOUGHT he was fulfilling his birthparents expectations. Once that mission statement was shattered, Superman must realize the ethical framework imbued in him growing up is the best way to assess right and wrong in the world. This ties into the larger Baravia issue. Throughout the film, other ethical systems are brought up for consideration (the national interest and Green Lantern Corp. policy) even though Lois and the Justice Gang are experiencing cognitive dissonance regarding not interfering. Superman 2025 is basically suggesting ethical intuitionism (kindness) is the best way to navigate the 21st century in an era of public institutions being co-opted by private interests to manipulate the masses.

>>217383559I wish we could have one show that isn't just a 12-hour long movie with so much plot its exhausting. Academy feels like it wants to be a cinematic masterpiece but instead you get choppy dialogue and a flashbang of lens flare anytime there's a window in the scene. Reminds me of the overblown lighting bit in Crisis Point
>>217383548>>217383558so why is it apple and netflix and hulu and amazon dont want to promote their new shows? why is it only paramount who has to give their premium content away for free?
>>217383641netflix is the leader in the market right now so they dont have to botherapple/hulu/amazon all have massive corpos backing themparamount+ is the only one standing out in the cold without backing and relying more on their subscriptions than any of the rest
>>217383641Netflix and hulu are actively losing too much money to give anything away for free. Disney and Warner bros put out episodes of stuff on youtube all the time.
>>217383559>short-term winfallsThat is all the current executives care about. Other executives may be in charge in the long term. They want to boost their own statures, not someone else's.>Everything tries to create a billion dollar blockbuster.Have you heard people talk about movies in theaters? They say that if it isn't the next blockbuster that everyone just needs to see to be a part of the zeitgeist, they can just wait until streaming. Even people here say that. The numbers back it all up too. How do you think these studios will respond?>Use lower budgetsPeople have these mythical ideas of how much it costs to make a movie. There is a reason the small budget indies are starting to shoot in Hungary now. People will support all these writer, actor, crew strikes online (which I am not necessarily opposed to), and then say 'why can't these companies keep their budget under control?'

>>217380436Unlike in the show, my Mr. Floppy didn't go floppy when Tiffany walked in.
>>217383394Yes, and he was the worst actor on the planet when this was made. There's a making of Phantom Menace documentary that shows him auditioning for Anakin, and he was one of the 2 runner ups, somehow.
>>217380711Like every sitcom ever, it definitely was. But it had a muppet and the hottest redhead ever.
>>217380681The show was originally meant to focus on the mom but that lasted only a couple of episodes because Stephanie Hodge just isn't a good lead and the writers didn't really know what to do with her other than make her mean. No doubt Floppy was much more fun for them to write and more enjoyable for the audience to watch. Going to guess no one, not even Nikki Cox, got a big head because it lasted 100 episodes without losing anyone due to contract negotiations.
Cast them.

Have to pick one at gunpoint, do you watch all of NuTrek or all of Disney Wars?Hard mode: length isn't a factor. Whichever has more content is cut down to the size of the other, by removing material from the most tolerable.
>>217378667>the chick who supplied woman to a jewish golem is evilim shockedim unironically shocked how she isnt in jail
>>217377057Hot take: nutrek. At least nutrek has a few decent episodes. I'd argue that Disney has turned Star Wars into a slopfest more than Kurtzman has hurt trek
>>217383283Skeleton Crew is fun, and short. Requires zero knowledge of other shows to watch it; it's a pretty self contained story. All you need to know is that it's set maybe 5-7 years after Return of the Jedi (showrunners never said exactly when)
>>217383283Acolyte is set a century before the prequel movies, and is a pretty short show but it sucks ass. Ahsoka is essentially season 5 of the Rebels cartoon, and is set after Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Go with Skeleton Crew.
