There's a lot that I like about the first episode. It certainly made me feel that it was for a child, or someone somewhat staring out in learning English. With a dose of silliness. That both young and old could adore. I found myself being drawn to the art style. Particularly the textures in the background. That sounds like a fun job. Coloring in the background. Google, with how I phrased the question, led me to turning, considering, about the coloring of the characters and their animation. They were painted with acrylic on an acetate clear sheet. That was then laid on top of the painted background. There's a lot I don't know about all of that, but back to the background. I like that there's a difference in textures. Sometimes it looks like it is airbrushed, perhaps, sometimes you see the bristles of a horse hair brush. I like the variance. I also like how the laugh track is subdued. Anyway, you'll have to excuse me, for it's time for me to pickle some radishes.
