Favorite black movie?
>>217483534You're just gay for Snipes.I respect that.
When I watched South Central I noticed that the plot was like a black version of American History X, so much so that I feel certain it was an influence.>main character runs with Crips-style gang>the gang leader likes to make grand speeches about how they're taking the hood back for the people, resisting oppression, etc.>they're really just drug dealing crims>main character eventually goes to prison>while he's away, his juvenile son is taken under the wing of the charismatic gang leader, who exploits him and gets him deeply involved in crime>main character learns about this and becomes disillusioned with his gang>the gang members in prison turn against him and sell him out to a gang of rapists in the AB>unlike Derek, he escapes the raping, but he still goes through a conversion process, becoming a Nation of Islam member and leaving the gang life behind>gets out and has to go save his son from the gangThere are lots of parallels between this character and Derek Vineyard.
directed by a white man, but black enough
anyone watched this?

>>217482234I'm sure the execution was indeed stupid but having to kill evil people in order to spare innocent people from some deity sounds like it would be pretty dope if done right.
>>21748388528 days later is one of my all time favorite movies so it's hard for anything to beat it. 28 weeks and 28 Years were very weak films. Bone Temple redeemed the series, I didn't like everything in Bone Temple, The alpha/Kelson story line was too "whimsical" for my tastes, but they managed to work that into the other story line in a satisfying enough way. I don't like that the alpha is cured. The Jimmy Savile cult was actually fantastic, I wish they would have gave them a different introduction in 28 years, it was so weird and out of place. 28 Years introduced a lot of silly shit to the universe of the film, I won't list them out but one thing that made that movie suck was breaking away from what makes zombie/outbreak/fallen society movies great is not the monsters but the people being the main threats. Bone Temple brought it back and it worked perfectly, as it supposed to. I seen other anons complaining about Jimmy Ink but her and Spike worked really well together. I didn't like Spike in 28 years later but he was good in this, playing a slightly less prominent role.
Just finished. My favorite Asami is a meth addict bought by a crazy doctor who's trained to become an assassin for his revenge plot against the rich psycho who killed his wife. She's going to be rendered comatose and smuggled into a sex club for necrophiliacs where she will have to remove gun parts surgically implanted in her body and pull of the assassination before she bleeds to death. The premise is idiotic but it leads to a climax where Asami has to do hand to hand combat while completely naked and covered in blood so I'm not complaining. It's not very good otherwise.
>Night of the Demon (U.S. title: Curse of the Demon) is a 1957 British horror film directed by Jacques Tourneur>Turbulent artistic differences arose between Chester on one side and Tourneur and the screenwriter Charles Bennett on the other over Chester's plan to show the demon on screen, but Chester prevailed.>Producer Chester and his British co-producer, Frank Bevis, had decided to show the demon at the beginning and end of the film. Tourneur later said that he was against the addition: "The scenes where you see the demon were shot without me...the audience should never have been completely certain of having seen the demon."Was this the first modern horror movie? Remember, horror = special effects. Anyone who likes 'subtlety' and 'psychological horror' actually hates the genre and wants to destroy it because it's not 'adult' enough.

Why are boomlennials so obsessed with Blockbuster?
>>217484573Its also kind of preventing a child who already struggles with processing emotions from learning how to deal with disappointment, which makes him even more dependant than he already is. I wonder whether they did this in addition to, or instead of that. I also wonder if these parents have ever bothered putting that much effort into doing something nice for their non-autistic son, or if uploading exploitative social media posts about his retarded brother is a coping mechanism for a lack of attention from parents who have put all their attention into the autistic child.
>>217484685I think that image is from a very long time ago, when such things were still controversial. Nowadays nobody bats an eye, everything you do is supposed to be uploaded onto the internet for updoots.
>>217484685>exploitative social media postsi generally lean towards this with these things. they always have the same rhythm to them. it's not just that they've built <cool thing>, it's a human interest story, they're oh-so-charitable towards their disabled family member (while also making a public spectacle of them).

Starring Erin Kellyman, Dir Nia Dacosta. The fourth & latest installment in visionary Danny Boyle's zombie series breaks some (at times, uncomfortable) new ground, but still offers up plenty of fun & frights! It's currently at 9.3 on IMDB - seems pretty high for a horror flick..
