I'm looking through my list of all the movies I've watched and there's a horror movie in there that I remember watching, I can even remember scenes from it, but whenever I look it up, I can't find anything, I'll give you a few bullet points to see if you can help me.
>A bunch of teenagers go to see a horror movie.
>This horror movie is about a massacre that actually happened at a summer camp.
>One of the girls at that massacre is the mother of one of the girls that goes to the movie.
>These kids watch this movie every year.
>The cinema lights on fire while they're watching it.
>The girl and her friends cut a hole in the cinema screen and run through it to escape the fire.
>Going through the cinema screen makes them travel back in time to the day of the massacre
>The watch the massacre happen as bystanders.
>I have it written down in my computer as being called "The Scream Queens"
I really hope someone can help, I'm going insane. I think the poster was very yellow if that helps.

The concept of showing what a backwoods slasher gets up to in-between murders (portraying it entirely straight and not as satire ala Unmasked Part 25 or Leslie Vernon) is kind of interesting, but the film belabors it.

In a Violent Nature review:
I liked the first hour or so well enough, but eventually the movie became very tedious with several scenes that went on way too long and I wanted it to hurry up and end. The last 15 or so minutes were especially bad. Also I don't know if the director purposely made the characters retarded because, at the movie's core, it's a generic slasher and people in slasher movies tend to be stupid or if he had no idea he was writing them to be so stupid.
Overall I give it a 6/10 because I still enjoyed most of it, but those last 30 minutes or so could have been a lot better.

I guess. And trust me, the 300 or so channels I DO want are well worth the $15 a month as opposed to the $100 or whatever a month cable will charge you. And having torrents, Plex, free app streaming services, illegal streams for sporting events, etc is nice and all but $15 a month for the luxury of just being lazy and scrolling through 300 options is a pretty sweet deal. Wish it would have stuff like Shudder. Regular cable doesn't have any horror dedicated channels.

If you're into soccer or cricket this would be huge. There's a US PPV slot that I'm going to test on tomorrows UFC ppv. I've only had IPTV for a few weeks so I'm not 100% on the reliability of PPVs. Holy fuck that’s a potential horror film from some studio like A24 in itself. People raised by their grandparents not knowing their older sister was their mother. Bonus creepiness if they’re born out of incest like a grandfather/uncle for a father. Apparently a few celebrities had this situation like Eric Clapton, Jack Nicholson and Vince McMahon. That’s why Jack and Vince got into show business in the first place they found their biological dads and guilt tripped them into going into the business. Apparently Ted Bundy was theorized his mother had him with her father. But JFC being raised by your grandparents is creepy enough but I hear it happens all the time in various cultures.

my favorite type of horror is when an alien force destroys humans in a preditory, uncaring, nonchalant matter of factly way, just because we are in the way

for example
astronauts are to some extent the best humanity has to offer - most resilient, highest IQ, most motivated, physically fit and some alien monstrosity just throws them around their own ship (their home) and turns their bodies into mush
similar with runaway AI, but to me that's somewhat less visceral

it's just a perfect horror story, ticks all the boxes. i dont understand how these alien movies suck so much. i saw the new alien tralier - i think the issue for me is that the astronauts do note exude that authority and superiority that they should - they are like zoomers
it sucks

As someone with 4 siblings, siblings don't look that similar. Parents and children do. She's 100% Vera's. If they were introduced without prompting people's reptile brains would instantly correctly assume mother and daughter. Trust your instincts

I don't say this to be rude, but speaking from personal, reverse experience, you're making it a bigger deal than it is. My mom and I had a falling out and have been estranged since I was a teen, which FEELS like huge hole in my life, but when I actually think about it, I'm idealizing what filling that hole would feel like (pause), when I remember from experience that it wasn't good. It's possible having your father in your life might be fulfilling, but more likely you'd just meet some dude who's not all that

Yeah it was cool in the 80s when it was fresh then cool in the mid to late 90s when the idea of meta was fresh and cool.
In the last 20 both slasher and meta have been forced and too try hard to be good.
Art The Clown for example doesn't deserve to be placed on the same mantle as Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Pinhead, etc.

I feel like it could have been good, but just wasn't. When the girl was running and she kept hearing the chopping, I unironically thought that it was an Entity forced event from Dead by Daylight type thing. Anyway, was it a euphemism for rape or something? The movie makes it feel like she's going to be fine and it's all behind her now, and that she's worrying so much that it'll be unhealthy (bleeding leg).

I put on Color Out of Space with Nicholas Cage. The movie started off well but within the first ten minutes, a black showed up. Good thing he was only there for about 2 minutes. >>
>>200607375
It's a somewhat original effort but ultimately boring and empty in the way several indie movies are: it lacks a plot.
When other slashers follow the same tropes, they cut the type of fat that In a Violent Nature shows over and over.
The cast is utterly insufferable and the movie's full of formal quirks (zero non-diegetic sounds and a focus on ambient sounds, repeated "walking simulator" shots etc) but the gimmicks never quite coalesce into a vision or a compelling tale.
When Tarantino has a character tell a story onscreen, it doesn't drag as it does (twice) in this movie, particularly the 2nd time around. The anticlimactic ending was ok, likewise the kill scenes but ultimately watch this one as if it were a film school exercise with good cinematography
>>
>>200639021
You act as if every movie released in the 80s was a masterpiece. There was plenty of terribly acted and scripted films back then, the MAIN difference is now films are cheaper to make, and more of them get made.
Also leftists and jews etc. were the main people making films back then as well. Rose tinted glasses.

It's your own fault for watching that slop in the first place. If you don't want slop, then don't intentionally seek it out. It's common knowledge that modern films are almost always gay.

Thing is, this movie just shows how the average north american city is like. Full of many different shades of shit. I can't even call this movie "woke." It's just reality. It's like Under Paris. Everyone is brown.

I don't care about chudviews, but you have the most annoying babylike way of bringing it up. like you've been unfrozen from the 30s. "WOW guys, another woman in a film. and a black! in the good ol US of A!"
