Unlike Game of Thrones this story's bad writing isn't demonstrated through a general sense of stupidity, it's demonstrated by the writers seemingly having an awful idea of what makes for interesting character work.
Like with a character like Aegon is it REALLY the best possible writing for him to just be petulant and whiny and that's all? Can't the writing for Rhaenyra be more interesting than just good girl chosen one? The writers keep forcing these characters into such trite and lame tropes that it feels more like a fanfic brought to life than a high budget HBO production.
