So effectively, the Greens defeat and subdue to the Riverlands, at least for a time. Of-course the Vale and North eventually invade and quickly vanquish the scattered Bracken/Green army. On a related note: the Brackens ought to be known for having great cavalry and the Blackwoods for their scouts/archers. So the Brackens initially have the advantage, especially with Aemond's support, but the Blackwoods lead skirmish forces that whittle down the Bracken forces.The Vale/North march on King's Landing, arriving after Rhaenrya's death and meet the Baratheons in battle. They win due to the sheer numbers, but the cost is great. Aegon is assassinated. The Greens meanwhile have finally forced the Reach under their sway, winning that campaign, and now march on King's Landing but arriving they are too late. Aegon is dead and the enemy has the only remaining Green Targaryen. So they agree to peace terms, and it makes sense they have just enough influence to get the "victors" to agree that Aegon was King and Rhaenrya was a traitor usurper, but her son IS now the rightful King of Westoros. The history makes sense then. There, you have a war that is much more back and forth with both sides having major victories.
