So, I never got to S3 of GoT back in the day. Doing a rewatch, starting from the beginning. Is Dany's sideplot this fucking bad in the books? I don't remember finding it so fucking dull and boring. Its basically her being a naive kid, saved by Jorah's mentoring as she tries to undo years of Viserys' grooming and intellectual neglect. She is treated as this naive kid but then always somehow it backfires on her antagonists as she comes out of the shadows in a "gotcha" moment where she gets the upper hand. Then she goes back to being a naive kid till the next person that tries to take advantage of her gets tricked and she gets one over them, giving her the victory. Just seems incredibly convenient, maybe its treated better in the book but in the show it comes off forced.
