70s movies are a pain to watch, they are extremely boring, intentionally in some ways, like they were designed to be boring.

[REC] 2 is actually embarrassingly bad. Sucks because I loved part 1. I was expecting part 2 to at least be decent, instead I got some Silent Hill Revelations levels of bad. Just finished pic related. What did I think of it? It was fine for what it is, but it's one of those generic horror comedies that would have benefited from a MUCH more creative director. I kept imagining Sam Raimi directing it, with the same low budget, and how much better it would have been. But there's plenty of gore and blood and it's all practical, and it's refreshing to see a 'chud' hero in a modern horror movie without any LE SUBVERSION since we just don't get that anymore.

Is there such a thing as horror animation? Is animation capable of being scary?
By which I mean stuff intending to be, not unintentional shit like Watership Down.

I ask because I was looking for horror anime the other day and was told it doesn't exist. I then watched a video talking about it which said animation isn't realistic enough to be scary like live action and it's not interactive enough to be scary like video games and books/manga. That makes sense to me but it also doesn't since one of animation's selling points is that you can get way more creative with what you show without the problems associated with live action such as cost and feasibility and it just ending up looking goofy.

The first film is genuinely one of my favorite horror films of all time. I enjoy all of the sequels with the exception of Freddy's Dead but I admit Freddy carries every films with the exception of New Nightmare and perhaps Freddy's Revenge.
