>>203972995One old one, I think the name was Wax Works, there were a lot of hot naked chicks in it. It was supposed to be horrifying but was funny as all heck.
>>203972995Waxwork is kino, one of my favorite new watches this year. It's almost like an anthology movie.
>>203973116That looks like it needs a dessert then it would be a meal fit for a king.
Shivers was damn fine film that got disturbing near the end. That one scene where the old man makes out with his daughter and offers her to the doctor.
Yup. Machete is the worst horror movie I've seen in a long time. Not even the gore can save it.

>>203973542Is there a Midori grid?
>>203973433But then that's when those goofy movies are the most funny.
>>203973470Fair. I don’t remember the humor being good, but did somewhat enjoy the very 00s nostalgia, overall sleaziness and the kills. It was at a time when their really was no ‘slasher revival’ so its interesting to see a new IP emerge from a decade that was more focused in torture porn or paranormal activity. Still, don’t know how they made 5 fucking sequels, going to skip that noise.

>>203973542nice. by far my favorite horror themed anime. the mood is so fucking oppressive unlike anything else i've seen. masterfully directed and shot.
>>203973572That first half an hour was like pulling teeth. Then they fall into this formula of "have the characters yell loudly at each other for ten minutes about nothing then have one or two killed" and repeat.I can see you liking the 00s stuff, but like you said, this is probably the trashiest part of the 00s. Probably doesn't help that I hate Joel David Moore
Uzumaki is suppose to be on tonight.
>>203973562Sure and it's sour, that was my first drink, a midori sour.
>>203973786This stuff still around?

>>203973813I don't know about now but it was when I was a little kid.
>>203972841Should a Jason sequel delve into Native American demon folklore or is that too disparate from what he is

Hereditary is legitimately a top 10 all time horror movie and a legit answer to whats your favourite...only dweebs and hipsters would honestly say otherwise
>>203972841why did they make his bulge prominent?
>>203973958Haven't seen it. Assumed it was boring lol. Is it actually good?
>>203973958It would have been better if it didn't do the "cut to credits with upbeat 60s pop/folk song" bullshit that's so common now
>>203973992It's a slow burner but yes it's actually good. My complaint here >>203973998 is minor.
>>203973958You're allowed to like it but this top 10 nonsense is just laughable
>>203973886>>203973926No mention of his father ever came up as far as I remember. Necromancer who did some ritual gone wrong would be kino.

>>203973981Sex Maniac isn’t a good name for something that’s not a porno so they imply it visually
>>203974071I don't think you're using the word "contrarian" correctly because it's extremely easy to list 10 horror movies that are considered more popular and more significant than Hereditary of all things. It would be you who is the contrarian to say otherwise and that's not even up for debate.
>>203974127I could name 25 off the top of my head that are better without even thinking about it

Devils Rejects was way worse than I remembered last time I saw it. People just like the Freebird scene because it's playing Freebird but really it's just copying endings like Vanishing Point which honestly is just cheaper and shittier. The scene in Vanishing Point with the Kim Carnes song works way better and isn't just a music video too. If you like literally anything Rob Zombie ever did just watch whatever thing from the 70s he's copying instead.

>>203976374

I suppose Texas Chainsaw but thats kind of his whole career.TCM is obvious but also Motel Hell, Tourist Trap, Funhouse, Wizard of Gore and others. >>203976759The new Fulci is surprisingly good. Gimmicky, but in a good way. However, that doesn't help me on my quest for a horror movie that's like Nithing.

The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses, and both RZ Halloween films are awesome. 31 is OK. Lords of Salem was not great.

>>203976852It's not even a controversial opinion though. his live action shit is so fucking stupid and it's easy to argue why they're all bad in their own ways. Literally no one complains about Superbeasto and is probably his only film that doesn't constantly get shit on.

Let Rob Zombie make Halloween 3
>>203976992probably cuz no-one watched it though.I just out that Paul Giamatti did the Dr. Satan voice which is pretty funny.
>>203976964It's terrible. It tries to recapture that cornball humor that was only somewhat humorous 60 years ago. By today's standards, it's so baffling why anyone would want to sit through old timey sitcom humor in today's world for a fucking hour and a half. That was a bad decision. I want to watch Fantasy Horror. What are some of the better ones?
>>203976170Oddity really surprised me
At least Elm Street and F13th embraced the stupidity of their sequels and just became fun franchises. Halloween was always trying to take itself seriously and it just became repetitive and dull with it's convoluted story becoming more and more retarded with each new film. By H20, the franchise was a complete laughingstock and by Resurrection, it was just sad. It's lows were far worse than even the absolute worst slasher sequels from other series.
>>203977204the only variable that ever stops sequels from being made is a lack of profits.the people yearn for Michael.

>>203977954Arrrrghh!
>>203977977I don't doubt that. I just don't care enough
/hor/ are satanists!
>>203977992I liked Late Night with the Devil and Frogman. Arcadia was watchable for the interesting monster designs. That's about all.
>>203977992#ChadGetsTheAxe is pretty good if you liked Deadstream
>>203977987Get Out was legit good. The rest I watched but didn't really care for, but there were some great scenes in there...like the homicidal monkey.
>>203977991Amityville Horror is a classic. That's why it spawned a billion sequels and spin-offs. Yes I know some are completely unrelated to the original film since anyone can call their movie the "Amityville whatever" but it doesn't change the fact that they still exist to this day because of the success of the original film. It's own franchise and so of course the film that started it all is inherently a classic because of it..even though the movie is bad.

>>203978040>Get Out was legit good.I fucking hate that movie and calling it good is the last thing I'd say about it.
Pink Floyd - Careful With That Axe Eugenehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMpGdG27K9o
>>203977992Oddity was the best movie i've seen all year.
>>203977992Late Night with the Devil is the undisputed king so far other are trash.
>>203978031This movie won't blow you away but it made me laugh a few times, worth a watch
>>203978040man I hated Get Out and hated that CGI monkey. If I was king I would outlaw all CGI animals.
>>203978059>watching that much modern sloplike why though?
>>203978082I like to watch movie :^)
>>203978102You sick freak!
>>203978059watch Beezel.I'm going to keep bumping Beezel until one (1) anon watches it.
>>203978059>Good Tier:>Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2You suffer from brainrot. That's what nu-horror does to a person

>>203978059>I Saw The TV Glow, Here for Blood and Winnie Pooh 2 in good tierAre you as drunk as I am?
>>203978116I've got this loaded up on my Plex server, looking forward to watching sometime this week
>>203978125I Saw the TV Glow is the only good movie on his list
>>203978128Excellent. I just feel it's unbalanced to have had 500 anons have seen Oddity instead.
>>203978134I dispute that
>>203978116I'll see that and raise you a CHUD
>>203978156Unfortunately for you I don’t care
>>203978119I think the public domain horror trend is funny. It's not high art but 2 was a big step up from the first one. The Tigger character being a Freddy clone calling everyone bitch was good stuff.>>203978125I was drunk earlier, now I'm eating gummies and ripping rosin pens
>>203978134I begrudgingly accept that I Saw the TV Glow is one of the best films of the year. Mainly because of the good music integration.Guess I have to cut my dick off now.
the scariest movie I've ever seen in El Palomo Cojo because I'm jealous
>>203978163Fortunately for you I won't hack your computer...yet
>>203978168I'm rolling some Peyote Critical but will throw a gummy in too, because why the fuck not
reminder black people dying first in horror movies is not a real trend and if you look at the history of horror films, not only is it rare when it happens, but more often than not the black character lives to the end or survives. Not sure how this idea started, why it continues to be spread, or what was the film that caused people to think it was a common theme. As an expert who has seen more horror films than most people can even count, it's not common and is a blatant misconception. If you were to ask me right now to list some movies off the top of my head where it actually does happen, I could name at least 3 of the thousands of movies I've watched over the years. If I did some research, there's probably less than a dozen examples over the span of 90 years of this happening... at least of all the film I've seen if I were to make an educated guess. In this thread alone, the only film mentioned where a black person does die first is Spider Baby. If you see anyone promoting this lie, call them out.
Anyone know where I can find this movie?

I'm gonna go fall asleep to Hellraiser 3. Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone.
>>203978455crazy because it's such a classic and one of the best and most fun Italian horror films ever made. i say that as someone who generally doesn't like Italian horror... which is probably why it's so good because it doesn't feel italian.
>>203978488>Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone.don't need to because you're already the one doing stupid shit by watching a Hellraiser sequel.
>>203978455Dellamorte Dellamore was a classic
>>203978493That actor was fucking Bob Geldof's wife during that time period.
>>203978488if you fall asleep while watching a Hellraiser film you wake up as a Cenobite
>>203978488The disco massacre was kino, everything after that was dire
>>203978552Good. Fuck Bob Geldof

>>203978609ah sure he's grand in small doses, and has a handsome mustache. He saved Africa after all
>>203978451Thank you. You're one of the good ones.
>>203978621he was great in Forbidden Planet
