I've seen Pans Labyrinth but I'd like some lesser known fantasy horror.

>>203979530Maybe check out some HP Lovecraft stuff. There's a lot of OTR recordings available.
>>203979538That was on my too watch religious demon horror. It has fairies and fantasy too? Cool. I'll bump it up on my watch list if it covers two areas.>>203979541This looks like vampires from a quick look.>>203979556I don't really consider Lovecraft fantasy.
>>203979590The thing with Lovecraft imo is that it's the kind of stuff I listen to in the background and it's spooky. It has to be read be read by the right person and not made goofy. Kind of like Poe, some people read it and relate the stories like morons. They cant help it, they just do.
>>203979612Did people really find Jaws scary back then?

>Had this in my queue for a while>Avoided because it looked cheesy & generic>It's actually really, really good with great character development
>>203979735No, but my grandparents thought me too young to see Jaws. They hollared at my parents to make me not see it, they thought me too young to watch it and would scare me from the ocean which I was and still swim in all the time. It was seriously retarded shit.
>>203979772Yeah. Personally I enjoy it more than Faust and Caligari
>>203979790Your grandparents didn't want you to see the naked skinny dipper and said that other stuff to hide from you that there was a naked chick.

I just torrented 170 horror movies. Pretty much every horror movie with 6.5 or more on imdb I found the premise interesting
>>203980264Based
>>203979590It is kind of vampires, but there's a whole other mythology to them which yields other creatures in greater number. Vampires are fantasy anyways
>>203980282What would Halloween be without vampires v werewolves?
speaking of vampires, there's this weird vampire movie from the 90's called Children of the Night where this school teacher played by one of Dom Deluise's kids (not the one who played the dad on Wizard's of Wavery Place) and his student trying to stop vampires from taking over their town or some shit. Anyway, the teacher hooks up with his underage student by the end and the movie is basically saying that's okay. Not sure what they were thinking. Some cool effects in it though.
>>203980331Delicious.
>>203980367Don't forget "children of the corn" the original one, not the remake.
>>203980418what does that movie have to do with anything
>>203980431Halloween, it's about that time.
About half way into Oddity. I know, ADHD retard attention span, but I just have to say. I do like the general vibes of this director's stuff, at least Caveat and this so far, but his use of things that are just supposed to be overtly like the scariest thing he can think of just comes off as comical.>The thing sitting at the tableLike, it's not even scary at this point, it's just silly. Same with just the whole premise of Caveat.
>>203981013Aside from the mediocre acting I enjoyed the first half of Oddity. It's the retarded reveals in the second half that ruined it.
Reminder that all found footage horror films take place in the same cinematic universe
>>203981403Big if true.
>>203981344Yeah the second half was a bit silly. I feel like this guy has ideas that would make for good 5-10 minute short films, puts several of them in a movie together, but struggles to get it to all mesh together well. Caveat had a really strong climax set piece that really had very little to do with the rest of the movie and almost felt out of place. This one was similar but peaked in the middle instead. The Camera gimmick was underutilized but a pretty good idea. Not as good as the drywall saw in caveat, but good.
