My Spooktober list!! I have a rule to not watch ANY horror movies outside of Spooktober, and ONLY watch horror movies during Spooktober - a minimum of 1 movie per day throughout the month.>A girl walks home alone at night , Longlegs , Nightmare on Elm Street>Chucky , Nightmare on Elm Street 2 , Nightmare on Elm Street 3>I spit on your grave , Friday The 13th part 1 , Pearl , Spider Baby>The last matinee , Hostel 2 , Next of kin (1982) , The Raven>The Wolf of Snow Hollow , The Skull (1965) , Haze (2005)>Vourdalak , Handsome Guys , Deadly Blessing (1981) , Zombi3>Cemetary Man , Let Sleeping Corpses Lie , City of the Living Dead >Dead & Buried (1981) , Tokyo Gore Police , 2LDK , Grateful Dead>Brutal (2017) , Late Night with the Devil , Ginger Snaps , Trap >Malignant , Nurse (2013) , Oddity , The Ruins , Daylight's End>Terrifier 2 , New Life , The Pyramid (2014)Starting off tonight by watching The Pyramid. It's been really good actually, the only part I didn't quite like was the first 1/3. Actually now that I am typing this I realise it really reminds me of the Minotaur movie from 2006 (with Tom Hardy). I recommend it if y'all've seen The Pyramid and want more like it.
>>204050629it was a good surprise when it came out
I can't come back if nobody remembers me. I can't come back if nobody's afraid.
Alucarda is my first watch for October, but I've been watching movies steadily for the past 10 days. This movie visually is very beautiful, lots of colors. Alucarda and Justine are both attractive and have beautiful hair. However, I almost didn't make it through this movie. The amount of overacting, screaming and constant wailing makes this almost unwatchable. It's way too much. No reason to ever watch this again desu.

>>204051116CreepshowCreepshow 2Body BagsTrick R Treat is at least better than the VHS movies I guess, haven’t seen all of them though
I'm going to try to do double features each night like I did last yearTonight's duo is Critters 4 and Ghoulies 4, again continuing last year's tradition
>>204051116personally i like Southbound better, still love Trick 'r Treat though.
First slasher I see where the killer use an assault rifle.
>>204051055this always comes up and I always forget the answer. pretty sure you want the original version, basically any of the releases past 2015.the most extended version isn't the one you want because I think they padded it for TV.he should say faggot near the start.
>The hidden metaphors and subtext are important to the composition of this shot and the wider narrative, only high IQ individuals will be able to pick up on the subtle use of colour in this scene.
thoughts on the substance?
>>204051055also no the youtube version clearly has no nudity so is probably the tv one
>>204050899I rewatched Alucarda this past weekend after my shilling caused a 3 day /hor/ meltdown. I’m not going to pretend it’s some 10/10 masterpiece but damn if I still don’t love it. I enjoy the cheesy yet charming dialogue, the sleazy 70s aesthetic, and the synth score. Also Alucarda is ridiculously cute.
>>204051397Any 70s horror with full frontal nudity is a-OK with me
>>204051327I think they've badly dubbed faggot to nutcase and I think it's probably the UK 1987 version by length
>>204051382Mostly okay in the first two acts. Entirely shits the bed and abandons itself in the final act for some unknown reason. Straight up decides that it wants to be a zany B flick and loses whatever identity it had been cultivating prior to that. Fairly decent and reminiscent of the fly until monstro appears.
I didn't make any list this year... any recs? I have already seen most of the classics, for the time being I'll just watch all the Wrong Turn movies...
>>204051442Sounds like a bad version of Society's structure but was trying to do both a commentary and have fun.

Also, shout out to whoever recommended Starry Eyes last night. Great body horror and kills, plus the message was grounded in reality for the most part (casting couch). The lead actress is also cute and put in a respectable performance given the meta elements on acting.
Wow can't wait for Svengoolie's Halloween Boo-nanza!>two of the movies are now run by Sven Squad alone without SvengoolieCalled it. They are Sven's replacement for his retirement. Disappointing that they have this annoying faggot IMP in their group. The Svengoolie reddit actually deletes posts on sight if it says anything negative about this faggot.
>>204051382I will have no thoughts on it until it releases on 1337x in hd
I like Ginger Snaps 2 because I want to fuck Brigitte.
>>204050936ahead of its time. in 5 years when all the trad millennial chicks snap out of that phase, head full of pills, 60-70 notches on their bedpost, they too will experience a burning desire to cause a ruckus at the beach.
>>204051544Yeah you could see that coming. They could've at least hired a woman with huge tits.
Here's a list I just put together. Haven't seen any of these before. Looking forward the most to the red queen kills seven times, leatherface is the only tcm I haven't seen, heard mostly good things about the other films. Here's hoping I get to see them all (and have a good time with them).
Nice, the "horror only in October" casuals are here
>>204051701i watched too many horror movies this year that i should've saved for october, now i'm stuck sifting through the remnants and crossing my fingers something hits.
>>204051663The Last Man on Earth is my favorite Vincent Price movie and Nightbreed I like at least as much as Hellraiser, although it's a very divisive movie. Make sure you watch the Director's Cut, not the theatrical cut.>Doom AsylumYou watched Frankenhooker and wanted more Patty, huh?

>>204051497Kek, you know how Mexicans are with their telenovelas. >>204051397I love 70s sleaze. They could have toned the screaming down a bit. It just annoyed me after a while. I don't like being annoyed watching a movie, real life already does enough of that.
>>204051859I've gotten to the point I just skip 5 seconds til the screaming stops. Meh.

>>204051859>>204051888Personally I thought the histrionics worked for the most part, particularly during during picrel. Jorden Peele frustrates me because I believe he has the capacity to make a 10/10, but he gets too caught up in his social issues to make a masterpiece. I’m rooting for him, he’s always making near-greats.

The three subjects that spook me the most are aliens, dolls and the deep ocean. I’ve seen:>Alien series>Child’s Play Series>Jaws series>McPherson Tapes>SignsAny other good ones?
>>204052384One of my favorite lesser seen horror tropes is when characters get killed by people other than the main villain. It’s usually just a case of mistaken identity like this scene or Black Christmas, or it’s just some OTHER psycho with a vendetta like the opening axe murder in F13 Part V and the table saw kill in City of the Living Dead. They’re usually shocking, come out of nowhere and make the world seem even more bleak.

Just finished C.H.U.D. 2 Bud the Chud. It's not related to the first movie at all. It's a zombie comedy. It was average. There isn't too much in the way of cute girls or nudity in this. But there's a fitness milf in it and Katie's outfit change near the end of the movie is truly boner inducing. Typical low budget late 80s horror comedy.

My first horror of October was Carrie. Starting out with a classic.
I always wrote off The Birds because of the premise but it was great. That’s what I get for doubting Hitchcock.
