>>204177608No, but he's suffering from Alzheimer's.
>>204177444Yes. And he kind of looks like my father which makes me like him even more.
>filters the fuck out of /film/ brainlets.

>>204177760Also, queen of /film/
>>204177414Looks like some dumb boomer threw an ugly sharpening effect on that pic, making her skin look diseased. Here, have a high quality scan of the photo instead.I cry myself to sleep knowing how many of her films are lost.
CAPESHITTERS ARE RUINING OUR BOARD AGAIN WHEN WILL THEY GO AWAY WHEN WILL THIS STUPID ASS GENRE FINALLY END
>>204177839Based qualitychecker. Love how clean medium format film looks.>>204177942Who cares. Everything outside of /film/ sucks anyway.
>>204178025You're welcome.
Have a lovely day!
Morning/Evening/Afternoon. what are we all watching or planning to watch?

>>204177942Joker 2 is /film/ though, Philips made a movie that totally subverted the first one, as a commentary on the dudebro frat audience of the first movie.
>>204178774lil bros cant handle it when movies dont follow their daydreams
>>204177652The one and only. Admitting it just proves I’m in too deep on this godforsaken website.
>>204178774>IT'S INTENTIONALLY BAD TO BE ARTISTICRian is that you? How is the new trilogy coming along?
>>204177813Lass had some deliciously thick hips and thighs in A Summer's Tale.
>>204174107Wow what cocksucker wrote that review? It's an amazing film
>>204179176>new jap extremitywhy must white people kill everything but labelling it a super special "genre" so sick of this shit they do it on /mu/ too
>>204178409shitterion's release of The Seventh Victim (1943)mb some horror

>>204179246I'd never even heard about that term until a couple threads ago
>>204177813Actual queen of /film/
>>204179452no, she's pretty smooth all around
>>204178254Based fellow Bauchad>>204177813>>204179048>>204179560Based Rohmerbros
>better than Yang, Tsai, Yanfan, Ching, WKW, Bing, Lao, and Cheh>makes the best Wuxia ever made>makes the best western ever made>makes the best will smith movie of the decade>adapts Life of Pi into a great filmAng Lee is /film/
>>204179564Ugh.
who is the true sucessor of David Lean?
>>204180231Based. Plus Sense and Sensibility and Lust, Caution./film/ will seethe, naturally. To the half-chink who hates Yang for example, Lee must be the devil.
>>204180231He is unexceptional, I don't remember any shots, moments, or characters from a freaking Ang Lee movie, no
>>204180775>I don't remember any shots, moments, or charactersThat's a problem on your end
>>204180231Hero bests Crouching Tiger in every way, it has a better Zhang Ziya performance and Jet Li > Chow Yun Fat.
>>204180926True. And House of Flying Daggers is one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. It's gotten somewhat forgotten in the last decade on /tv/ and elsewhere.
>>204178409rewatch All That Jazz, watch a 1940s Danish noir, go to bed at 6am and read Notes on the Cinematographer for an hour : ) x
>>204178409Gonna watch the last hour of Lynch’s Dune (garbage movie) then I was gonna watch something from the rest of my watch list, probably 964 Pinocchio
>>204181060Yimou is the modern day king of wuxia , not Ang Lee. See also Shadowhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGetemRDuVY
I realised that I have actually watched one Rohmer film.
>>204181441The positive of that is you have all the rest to enjoy for the first time ahead. Le Rayon Vert is already a high point.
Rohmer? I feel the same way about him as Gene Hackman in Night Moves did.
>>204181765:I
>>204173324I'm interested anon!
How is this not considered to be one of the absolute greatest films of the 50s? I hate the poster because it makes it look like a corny Hollywood films of the time
>>204181765Which was a clueless character, his disliking of Rohmer a clear example of his general baseness.
>>204179560She was absolutely incredible in the aviator’s wife
>>204182350It's not even properly respected as (another) high point for Ford. I guess that's the way it crumbles, cookiewise.
>>204182428Sadly
>>204182402Based.
>>204179560>>204182402>>204182591Shame Rohmer didn't put her in more stuff. Absolutely mogged the other two broads in L'ami de mon amie.
I watched Noriko's Dinner Table. It is Sion Sono's best work, better than Love Exposure. It's probably in my top 5 films ever. But at the same time I feel extremely hollow, a part of my brain fog was lifted and now I can feel the extreme loneliness and isolation that I was in for the last 17 years coming back to me. I guess good films have that effect on you but alas I regret watching it for opening my eyes to the state of my life.
