No phone, no notes, she presented more information, had a sweet personality, and hit all her marks. Very professional. I am not even race baiting, but my disdain for nigs just keeps growing daily. >>204646287>>204646298for me it will always be the OG playstation game with all the islands, but I think Crash Team Racing might have been the peak of the series. Just so many hours on that. Also remember 3 being part of the peak of the series, with all the platforms, and being able to play as different characters.

>>204646333I prefer mine, for sure.>>204646348For me, it's:1-Crash Bandicoot (PSX)2-Crash Team Racing3-Crash Bandicoot 3 (PSX)4-Crash Bandicoot 25-Crash 46-Crash 2 (N. Sane Trilogy)7-Crash 1 (N. Sane Trilogy)N. Sane Trilogy convinced me of the fact that modern remakes are completely fucked. The pill shaped hitboxes makes some parts of the games near unplayable, and others completely broken. That being said, I unironically think OG Crash 1 is one of the most SOVLful games ever made, same with the rest of the PSX games, but specially Crash 1.
>>204646425bait
>>204646490damn that is my exact ranking! I stopped around the first PS2 release, because it didn't feel the same at all. I barely remember part 5 of the original PS1 run but it was my least favorite of the OG games.Crash Bandicoot 2 is kind of boring in the early game, but I remember once you get to the last two platforms the stages are a lot more interesting.
>>204646558>Crash Bandicoot 2 is kind of boring in the early game, but I remember once you get to the last two platforms the stages are a lot more interesting. It's fun, but it's the least interesting and easiest of the OG trilogy. I feel like 1 is the most challenging and enjoyable, 3 is the most varied and 2 is like the awkward transition phase between the two.

>>204646660Night, bro.
>>204646660Good riddance coalburner spammer.
>>204646640yeah part 1 sometimes feels to difficult to be a kids game. the Road to Nowhere stage in part 1 still makes my heart skip a beat every time.
>>204646692Kinda easy to cheese Road to Nowhere and The High Road with the rope trick, but I get your point. Getting the full completion of the game is very hard, nothing compared to getting the platinum relics on N. Sane Trilogy, though. It's ironic how OG Crash 1 should be much more punishing due to how gems work in the game when compared to the remake, but the pill shaped hitboxes strangely make the game much more unfair, specially when trying to get the plat relics. Stormy Ascent was insane!
>>204646865I was 6-8 when I played the first game so cheesing the environment really didn't come easy to me at all and I finished it the hard way. That said beating Cortex at the end was a lot easier than I expected, a lot of the maps earlier on in the last island were harder than the final boss.

>>204647135Start with I Vitelloni, it's likely the first Fellini movie where his style is present. It was also an influence for Marty to make Mean Streets. If you'd like to watch a silent, Sherlock Jr. is neat. Now, if you'd like to watch something more modern, in color, watch First Reformed. This pick will probably stir some controversy here, but in my opinion it can be a window to discover the works that influenced it like Winter Light and Diary of a Country Priest.>>204655067Looks very good, I'd go watch many of those. Billy Wilder is such an overrated director.
>>204655692haha, I rated it 4.5 stars, I thought it was fantastic. My only criticism is that John does not show up for the first hour, so I kept on thinking in my head 'when is John going to show up?' but when he does I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The procedural structure of the first act was certainly an interesting way to start the film. I will definitely be re-watching this at some point soon.
>>204655787the female lead's personality reminded me of Nanako, which made the comedy bits with the energetic sparkly girl work for me.
>>204655817Thanks.
I think that Preston Sturges’ Sullivan Travels is easily the worst celebrated film of all time.
>>204655876Yessir
>>204655789The “realism,” misanthropy, or balefulnessnever exceeded a melodramatic approach. The situations are set up,without benefit of characterization. Wilder is a heartless exploiter ofpublic taste who manipulates situation in the name of satire. Heprefers dialogue to character, sniping to structure. The ending of TheLost Weekend is a dispiriting compromise not just for the way itbetrays the rest of the film, the strength of the book on which it isbased, and the power of Ray Milland’s performance, but becauseWilder was so clumsy that he dealt with the subject in a way thatcould not avoid Hollywood’s sense of a “happy ending.” Comparisonwith Preminger shows how meekly Wilder relinquishes his ownvenom. A Foreign Affair soon forsakes its picture of postwar Germanyfor a sub-Lubitsch love story. Sunset Boulevard slyly confrontsSwanson and von Stroheim with their past without ever reallyanalyzing or attempting to understand them. Stalag 17 cheats byhaving its outsider hero eventually join the gang. Although hebelieves in the worst of people, Wilder lacked the will to makemisanthropy credible. There is a moment in Sunset Boulevard where William Holden’sinterior monologue—so many of Wilder’s films rely on narration—mentions the childlike handwriting of the Gloria Swanson character. We do not see that writing. It is a writer’s ploy, astonishinglyunadapted to the medium. That is typical of Wilder. He outlinescharacters on paper—in dialogue, setting, and situation—rather thanin revealed behavior. Very often in his films, the actual images areincidental to the “facts” of narration and dialogue. It follows that thefilms are frequently bare or fussy: because in the first instance he hasgiven too meager a brief to the art department, and in the second toomuch. The house in Sunset Boulevard bulges with detail that is allreferred to in the script but that is never more than a gesture atplausible atmosphere.
The Substance was a vain movie about vanity.

Was he autistic?Jokes aside, even though cinematography and score are all stellar as expected from Kobayashi, I find it hard to engage with this level of scriptwriting. When the humane quality (which I find well depicted in Kurosawa's filmography for instance) is traded for an explicitly stated quest for ''humanism'' (or some such paraded abstraction) Kaji, the alleged hero of this trilogy, comes off as inherently detached and narcissistic, his struggles and exploits not as epic and moving as intended, but rather myopic and exhausting, annoyingly preachy.

We're all extremely handsome and sexually accomplished here.
>>204659154my body count is almost at 100
>>204659094>>204659097I have performance anxiety about kissing girls, needed to get that off my chest.

>>204658217Kind of based he stopped to take care of his dad's flower arranging school though.
>>204659154This, but unironically. I know more than a few people from the /film/ Discord and they are all either involved in passionate relationships or getting tons of sex. Must be our patrician aura or something.>>204659245It's all about rhythm and nuance with most. Key to avoid teeth clashing or oversalivating.
>>204659153>But I do.Yes, I'm sure you would still love her if she looked like Lizzo.>Unfortunately only through films (fake), interviews, podcast, etcThis in no way counts as "knowing somebody". >It’s deeper than that. >>204659291I feel like I don't really care about people so much as to feel afraid of them. I used to have social anxiety in my teens, but then it all faded into indifference.>>204659325Maybe, the thing that bugs me is the feeling of being inadequate due to not having experience / enough experience and the shame that comes from "doing something wrong". Must have something to do with my upbringing, as my parents used to punish me brutally for making "mistakes".>>204659363Unironically, what is the point of having relationships?
>>204659399>I'm sure you would still love her if she looked like Lizzo.Obviously not? Way to completely disregard physical appearance like it isn’t half the attraction to someone.>This in no way counts as "knowing somebody". Never said it was but it’s better than nothing.>If it's any deeper than lust it's delusion, simple as.I’m aware it’s delusional, I already admitted something is wrong. >What is more is that these sentiments of being able to connect with someone can help relieve depression and loneliness, and although some might argue that this isolates people from the outside world, studies have shown that there is no relation between loneliness and parasocial relationships; they can actually lead to a broader social network. (Svoboda, 2020)
>>204659723I sometimes feel that way. Take my boredom away or die.
>>204659734>tfw when you intentionally isolate yourself from people because you can only tolerate people and don't enjoy their company in any way.
>>204659082>>204659113>>204659315Thank you, big bros.
>>204659482>Unironically, what is the point of having relationships? It's not something I ever pondered much, to be sure. I feel like most relationships grow organically beyond a prior infatuation. Caring over a significant other is something that deepens with time. And then to (sort of) build your life around it is a beautiful process, if sometimes complicated and laden with pain. Not for everyone, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I would conversely ask what the point of casual sex is. I always found it to be lackluster or maybe I can't flow as freely with somebody I'm not intimate with.
>>204659763I spend 99% of my time alone anyways lol
>>204659796The thing is, I don't know how to care for other people. I don't care about the sex, I don't care about their feelings or thoughts either. I feel like sharing my time with people is such a waste when I could be watching kino or playing vidya. I'm being 100% honest, something about this disturbs me because a part of me feels I shouldn't be like this but I can't help it, I just can't care.
>>204659842Me too, only social interaction is /film/, which for some reason doesn't annoys me.
/film/ – together alone
>>204659891I’m only on 4chan so much because it’s the majority of my social interaction these days. IRL friends only wanna get together at my place once every month or so. Unironically I need to take a break, I’m a lonely fucking bastard man
we're all alone here
Also my bad for derailing the thread lel I’m gonna fuck off from /film/ for a little bit.
>>204659987When I had friends they only wanted to meet once a year, even though we chatted every day on Whatsapp, mostly due to me though. I can't imagine how it would look to regularly hang out with people. I'm aware that there are people that hang with their friends everyday, how would that feel? Unironic questions.
>>204660025>I'm aware that there are people that hang with their friends everyday, how would that feel?I actually had that happen back in college and it gets old very quick. You have to set boundaries at that point and it gets awkward.
