Facts only true Halloween heads know
>The villain of Halloween 3 is actually Michael after the events of Curse
>The "Michael" in '09 is just a random schizophrenic homeless man, Nu-Michael died at the end of '07
>The "Michael" in Resurrection was not Michael, it was also a homeless man (not schizophrenic this time). This homeless man also makes a small appearance in H20 (The CGI mask scene is him)
>The homeless man from Resurrection is actually Ben pretending to be Michael to get revenge, he also appears in a quick scene in 4 (Blonde mask scene) and a quick scene in 4 (CGI mask scene)
>The homeless man who Corey kills in Halloween Ends is actually Ben too, and that is the actual death scene of Ben (who survived the end of Resurrection)
>H3, H20, and 2018 don't actually retcon anything, they only pretend to in order to fool plebs. The two Rob Zombie ones are the only ones which take place in another universe
>The correct timeline is: H1 - H2 - H4 - H5 - H6 - H3 - H20 - H8 - 2018 - Kills - Ends

Alien Romulus was ok
>>
I just watched Ringu, seh, it was pretty good. I never really got scared, but there were some disturbing scenes to be sure. Nothing really scares me anymore, I guess that's due to desensitization. It was still entertaining though, I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it and likes Japanese films.
>>
>>204837389
The ending made it worth it, but it was kind of slow to start, and seemed really predictable throughout. Just seemed pretty much like any other Alien movie. I also really liked the beginning though, when they show you what life is like in the colony on whatever moon that was. I would really like to see a movie just based on that, they should do a spin off or something in that universe but showing the dystopian life as a Wayland Corp worker. Guess that already kind of exists which is Blade Runner.

Just got back from seeing this. It was as good as I expected. I went into the first movie not sure about how I was going to feel about it - and I kind of felt the same about this one - but by the end of both I ended up feeling satisfied and entertained by a somewhat unique concept done right. I will say, if you are repulsed by the idea of super-stardom and just cannot put yourself into the shoes of someone who is rich and famous, then you might want to skip it.

The movie picks up almost exactly where the last one left off so there is a great sense of continuity. I haven't watched the first one since I first saw it years ago and was a bit worried that I might get lost trying to pick up the details again but I didn't. I think if you liked the first one and aren't put off by a mega pop star as the lead then you'll like this one. No spoilers, but the ending delivered in exactly the way any intelligent person would expect and hope a concept like this would play out with these circumstances. And it was fantastic. I thought the lead actress did a pretty good job. She looks a lot like an old friend of mine so it was really easy for me to sink right into empathy mode with her so I might be biased. To be fair, I thought she did a fantastic job most of the movie. But there a ton of moments where she does this "scared and panicked running" sequence and it sometimes felt comical - like it looked like a Looney Tunes or Three Stooges bit. And near the very end there were a couple scenes where the dialog and acting between she and her friend just absolutely fell apart. But mostly, I really dug her and everyone else was competent or great as well. I really hope there isn't a sequel to this based on the way it ended. If they do I hope it is a reboot of sorts set in a different timeline.

Eventually, yes. Jason can't really be killed unless you have access to that dagger and are somehow related to him. If Carrie were to destroy his body, he can just body hop to someone else.

I'm going to watch it when it hits streaming, but I didn't like the first Smile. Is the second an improvement? Does it have less trauma bullshit?

That's a big no from me. I don't even watch jewtube movie shit because they're all poz'd and/or paid off advertising.
>>
>>204840896
I wouldn't say it's an improvement but it's definitely not worse than the first. There's something lost in the fact that you already know how everything works and there's no mystery to how the demon operates. And I don't know how to answer the "trauma bullshit" question because I think people have kind of taken the "muh trauma" meme a bit too far. Sure, there are some recent horror movies that fit the stereotype and are deserving of the derision, but a lot of horror movies pre-2010 center around jaded people with troubled pasts and a lot of people on 4chan can't get the "muh trauma" meme out of their head and ruin movies for themselves because of it. To answer your question fairly: yes, the main character had a troubled past and that is central to the plot. And the mechanism of the way the demon jumps from host to host is by having something really fucked up happen to someone and if you want to substitute that with the word "trauma" then you can go ahead ruin a perfectly good movie for yourself.

There’s plenty of good 70s horror movies besides just TCM. There’s Halloween, Jaws, Dawn of the Dead, House, Alucarda, etc. but the only giallo movies I ever hear talked about here are all old as hell and look like the same movie. 1) Suspiria is not a giallo
2) Giallos is essentially a dead genre, so yes the majority of them will be old
3) Duh there's a lot of good movies in the 70s, it's the best decade in the history of horror. You are the one stated movies "from 50 years ago" are supposed to be "a bad thing" when you got your fee fees hurt over Cabin in the Woods

The show has a completely different dynamic from the earlier seasons because Darcy has a LOT more screen time and time to talk. Her bit now is to disagree with everything Joe Bob says and knowingly roll her eyes while portraying him as an "angry" or "out of touch" old curmudgeon on his own show. It's obnoxious and no one gives a shit what she thinks.
