>>204857984>Are there any horror movies you've rewatched after >10-15 years that made you perplexed by the difference in your own reaction? The Exorcist was the first horror movie I watched alone. I was 13 and I had to turn it off at the masturbation crucifx scene. I was in a pitch black basement and felt sheer dread when the screen went dark. I've never been so scared in my life. Had to sleep on the floor of my parents room that night. Now I'm an adult and while I still love the film, I'm not surprised by it. I've become totally desensitized to the grotesque. Part of me wishes the scared boy still lived. The other part is relieved he's dead.

You will sabotage your ability to enjoy things if you allow yourself to be influenced by strangers on the internet before you even watch the movie, however. "Oh I better not waste my time! >>204858253I just marathoned T3, I think it's the weakest entry into the series. It's a decent slasher movie spliced together with a boring family drama movie, and the final act was like something out of Rob Zombie's lame flicks with le evil demon yapping on and on and on saying stuff that a 12 year old thought was bad ass. They should have focused more on the college students, not brought back Sienna or Vicky except for minor roles, and pared down the number of locations. Also half the people killed were random old men, it should have been college students and young adults like nightmare on elm street, friday the 13th, etc. It doesn't have the soul of a slasher movie.

Why are people saying Terrifier the 3rd is the most gory movie ever made? 1st was better
Had my first nightmare (that I can remember) of the season.I was in an old apartment building and all of the people in it were zombies, but they were that kind of zombie that can sort of talk and communicate, and they were led by an older woman zombie who was organizing them to attack me, and I had to get through the rooms to make my way out of the building while teaming up with any survivors I met in a manner similar to the gameplay of Resident Evil: Outbreak
>>204865277CoolI had a zombie apocalypse dream a few years ago where I was in a big van with a group of people driving away from the chaos. The van crashed and I got thrown out onto the ground. I saw a werewolf (it looked like a man in a scary werewolf costume like in the movie Creep) and it suddenly rushed towards me and then I woke up.
>>204865268What are some gorier movies? Not a trick or a gotcha, just wanting some recs if you know some wilder shit I haven't seen yet.
According to Jason X, hockey is outlawed in 2024. Why?
>>204864919That looks like the type of kid who grows up to be a weird looking adult.

Watched New NightmareDamn, that was surprisingly better than I expected. I have seen this before, but I forgot the entire thing because of how long ago that was, so I decided to re-watch it. Very cool concept, and some great cinematography, which is surprising for a 7th slasher movie sequel lmao. It certainly could have used some more Freddy scenes though, and the part where Freddy does the soi face was funny as shit despite this being a "serious" take on the character. Overall quite good, even if it was a bit slow. This and Dream Warriors are the only truly good NoES sequels. This one is the Halloween H20 of the franchise
>>204865479Kek, I had to look up images of him as an adult to see. Not too weird really.
>>204865449violent sport that causes unnecessary brain damage. honestly it should be banned along with most sports
>>204865531Dream Master is all sorts of fun.Freddy's Revenge is shameful gay kino.
>>204865585Freddy's Revenge is better than 4, 5, 6, and the remake, but it's still very meh. The anti-gay message is based though and the pool scene is kino https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFGoaV6_N3w
>>204865585Part II is gay as fuck, for sure, but man, this movie has some great sequences. Him exposing his brain for example
>>204865277Interesting. I also had a nightmare last night. I was being chased by a sloth bear and it was trying to enter my grandmas house, my family and relatives were there. It got into the house but we managed to get it out somehow. Then it ran off, but my little brother went missing. He later returned unscathed but then we looked up in the sky and it turned out nuclear war had started, we didn't make it back home before nukes detonated nearby. It's weird, I never wake up feeling scared or stressed after having these kind of dreams.
Most of the stuff you'll read online about Nightmare 2 is about how it's a metaphor for being gay or whatever, but before I ever knew about that I never really read into it as a gay film
Just finished Evil Dead II. I kinda liked the original a bit more but this one was amazing too. Now on to Army of Darkness.
>>204861463 New Nightmare Heather >>> 1 and 3 Heather
>>204865755Army of Darkness was good but a bit too over the top silly, bordering on childish, for my taste. The first one will always be the best one.
>>204865755How I think of it, Evil Dead 1 is perfectly paced and gets right into it quickly, keeping the momentum going perfectly to the end of the film.Evil Dead 2 fucks around too much at the beginning with stuff like Ash's goofy insanity sequence, but the second half of the movie is 10/10
>>204865755Enjoy. Be weary of which version you watch, mine was the directors cut and it has a very different ending that doesn’t tie into the tv show like the theatrical cut
>>204865814>over the top silly, bordering on childishThat can still be kino thoughSee: Gremlins, Killer Klowns, Ernest Scared Stupid
>>204865866That's such a great ending though
>>204865832My thoughts exactly, it took a bit to really get going. Ironically I was more emotionally invested in the college kids at first and that made the escalation into absolute insanity all the more effective. II has a slower start and I couldn't help but wish that it had started right after the original movie instead of doing a soft remake. Still, it was a ton of fun.>>204865814I hope to be able to get into it.
>>204865735Real "I had no idea confirmed bachelor is a euphemism for a gay man" energy
The Evil Dead - 5/5 MasterpieceEvil Dead 2 - 5/5 MasterpieceArmy of Darkness - 5/5 MasterpieceEvil Dead (2013) - 4.5/5 ClassicEvil Dead Rise - 0/5 Dumpster trash
>>204865936Pretty accurate, I'd say objective honestly
>>204865866I downloaded the first two but I'm going to use Amazon Prime for the third one, so I'll guess I'll see what they have. I did know about the two endings beforehand and was wondering which one I'll see.
>>204865936What about Ash vs Evil Dead?
>>204865936Great to know, I've heard a lot of good things about the 2013 version and really wanna check it out now that I've seen the original and realized just what an amazing film it is.
>>204865975It's not a 5/5 masterpiece at all but it's worth watching, fun show
>>204865965It’s not really a big deal anyway, I just watched the other ending on YouTube afterwards
>>204857520guys, this is my top 4 halloween movies? what do you think? i want to thank this board, you guys have given me so much good recs and i'm glad i could find a place to discuss movies in today's chatgpt bot ridden internet

Is aliens romulus even considered a horror movie? Anywatch, watched it yesterday and surprisingly i liked it a lot. Not sure why everyone is shitting on it, yeah some of the copied lines were obnoxious, but not enough to ruin my enjoyment of the movie. Its pretty much my 3rd favorite aliens movie
>>204866016Cure is kino. Twilight is oddly comfy, maybe because I really like the Oregon setting. Haven't seen the other two.

>>204866366liar
>>204866391Nothing in any of these movies even approaches the shower scene as far the amount of blood
BDs for Cuckoo & In A Violent Nature came out today. You can now pirate them.
>>204866071action horror or action thriller, I supposeI didn't like any of it. Bad characters, dialogue, writing, story, action was mediocre. Set design was pretty good
>>204866071>Is aliens romulus even considered a horror movie?Yeah. Horror/sci-fi/action. Played up the horror more than the other modern Alien movies.
>>204866507>Cuckoo Lol

Luv me sum slashas
>>204866626I'm not shilling Terrifier 3, I'm a genuine gore enthusiast asking for examples of what movies have more blood and gore. Do you have an actual answer or are you just another retard like you appear to be?

I'm gonna say it The Fly, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and Hills have Eyes originals are way better than the remakes
What was the last horror movie you saw in theaters? For me it was The Exorcist last Halloween. This year they're doing a triple feature of Nightmare Before Christmas, The Shinning and Night of the Living Dead (the original) where I live and I'm tempted to pack some dinner and head out there.
