Are there any horror movies you've rewatched after >10-15 years that made you perplexed by the difference in your own reaction? Obviously, if you've seen something as a 9 year old, any horror might feel peak scary, so try something later.

You know what, T3 was actually really good. For 2 million dollars it was harlem fucking globetrotting over the competition. Made me laugh out loud multiple times as well.
Enjoyed it more than 2 for sure, I get what you mean about Vicky, but can't really blame it as the lore it is pulling out of it's ass isn't terrible.

>Are there any horror movies you've rewatched after >10-15 years that made you perplexed by the difference in your own reaction?
The Exorcist was the first horror movie I watched alone. I was 13 and I had to turn it off at the masturbation crucifx scene. I was in a pitch black basement and felt sheer dread when the screen went dark. I've never been so scared in my life. Had to sleep on the floor of my parents room that night. Now I'm an adult and while I still love the film, I'm not surprised by it. I've become totally desensitized to the grotesque. Part of me wishes the scared boy still lived. The other part is relieved he's dead.

So, you're swayed by some random cunt's review? I'm willing to bet seven hundred and fifty seven million bazillion dollars that if you look up every single one of your most beloved movies on letterboxd etc. there will be similarly negative reviews. Does it mean the movie is bad? No, it is one opinion in a sea of opinions. Too bad for you though, you ruined your chances of ever watching it, not that it's some amazing movie. You will sabotage your ability to enjoy things if you allow yourself to be influenced by strangers on the internet before you even watch the movie, however. "Oh I better not waste my time! I should read a review rather than think for myself!" Honestly I have no particular inclination to defend this movie, but you are an insufferable retard.

I just marathoned T3, I think it's the weakest entry into the series. It's a decent slasher movie spliced together with a boring family drama movie, and the final act was like something out of Rob Zombie's lame flicks with le evil demon yapping on and on and on saying stuff that a 12 year old thought was bad ass.

They should have focused more on the college students, not brought back Sienna or Vicky except for minor roles, and pared down the number of locations. Also half the people killed were random old men, it should have been college students and young adults like nightmare on elm street, friday the 13th, etc. It doesn't have the soul of a slasher movie.

New Nightmare is more than often considered top 3 by people who didn't mind the meta aspect of the movie.
>>204861295
I wouldn't go as high as a 7 but it's dumb fun and i wish I had a vampire wife like Selene. By th way, don't bother with the rest of the franchise (unless you want more Beckinsale, which I could understand).

>>204861441
new nightmare is fine. essentially a scream-prototype and its less goofy than any of the sequels prior.

First shoot of Underworld is Kate Beckinsale's ass showing as her coat goes up by the wind. Now that's filmmaking. I also found funny the shoot of Michael Sheen looking at Kate kissing the guy, as she divorced him to be with the director Les Wiseman after the film. Pure cuck moment.

Had my first nightmare (that I can remember) of the season.

I was in an old apartment building and all of the people in it were zombies, but they were that kind of zombie that can sort of talk and communicate, and they were led by an older woman zombie who was organizing them to attack me, and I had to get through the rooms to make my way out of the building while teaming up with any survivors I met in a manner similar to the gameplay of Resident Evil: Outbreak

Cool
I had a zombie apocalypse dream a few years ago where I was in a big van with a group of people driving away from the chaos. The van crashed and I got thrown out onto the ground. I saw a werewolf (it looked like a man in a scary werewolf costume like in the movie Creep) and it suddenly rushed towards me and then I woke up.

Damn, that was surprisingly better than I expected. I have seen this before, but I forgot the entire thing because of how long ago that was, so I decided to re-watch it.
Very cool concept, and some great cinematography, which is surprising for a 7th slasher movie sequel lmao. It certainly could have used some more Freddy scenes though, and the part where Freddy does the soi face was funny as shit despite this being a "serious" take on the character.
Overall quite good, even if it was a bit slow. This and Dream Warriors are the only truly good NoES sequels. This one is the Halloween H20 of the franchise

Interesting. I also had a nightmare last night. I was being chased by a sloth bear and it was trying to enter my grandmas house, my family and relatives were there. It got into the house but we managed to get it out somehow. Then it ran off, but my little brother went missing. He later returned unscathed but then we looked up in the sky and it turned out nuclear war had started, we didn't make it back home before nukes detonated nearby.
It's weird, I never wake up feeling scared or stressed after having these kind of dreams.

Most of the stuff you'll read online about Nightmare 2 is about how it's a metaphor for being gay or whatever, but before I ever knew about that I never really read into it as a gay film

How I think of it, Evil Dead 1 is perfectly paced and gets right into it quickly, keeping the momentum going perfectly to the end of the film.
