Set in a gothic castle with a villain based on Washington Irving's Headless Horseman. Just gone forever.
Just finished The Empty Man. Pretty decent jn terms of psychology horror. Had the ol switcheroo set up in a way thats a little less predictable and more unique than your average one. Had some odd quasi Buddhist but definitely anti Christ vibes going with the themes of it. Wish they put a little more monster into it. If the protagonist ran away from the Empty Man a bit more and had more of those jumps it would be a great balance between atnosphere and jumpscare. Not gonna lie, I'm a bit of a pleb. They didn't release the other seasons. Are You Afraid of the Dark? was released on DVD in 2014. The vast majority of their shows haven't been made available anywhere. This was fantastic at the beginning when it was just the four family members versus their four doppelgangers. But then about halfway through, it started shifting genres into a part-comedy, trying to be all philosophical, and by the end there were shitloads of plot holes. I am catching up on 2024 horror movies I have not watched yet, last night I watched Black Cab, MadS, and Crackcoon.Black Cab: Nick Frost was the highlight of this, his acting was enjoyable as usual. Unfortunately I just wasn't that interested in the concept. 2.5/5 almost goodMadS: Pretty cool movie, I'm glad I went into this one without knowing much before hand. The most impressive part of the movie was probably that it APPEARS to be one long continuous take. 3.5/5, I enjoyed this one and it's sitting not far outside my top ten for the yearCrackcoon: I had very low expectations for this, even though I do love horror comedy and gore. I might be a minority opinion on this but I thought Crackcoon was actually hilarious and way better than it had any right to be. The acting was atrocious and a lot of the dialogue was bad, but for everything I didn't like about this movie there was something that made me laugh or entertained me. There's a lot of gratuitous nudity and BIG BOOBA in this one too. 3.5/5, somehow my favorite of the 3 films

how old were you when you realized that the biggest horror is working for 40 years and still having no money or good life. I have been neeting for 10 months now and life has never been cozier, but I can feel that creepy disgusting future coming where im gonna have to waste 8 hours of my life on some bullshit job with awful people
>>205608383How old are you?
>>205607668Family Guy Halloween specials
>>205601619>>205603769I will now watch this movie
>>205608383Literally me
>>205608383Sorry, as an intelligent person, I don't have these issues.
>>205604696Sure, some more than others but as is evident by most of the replies even if you aren't prone to getting scared there's still enjoyment to be had from watching horror movies for most people. They can still be entertaining and very often are although I think I understand why this board hates slowburns so much since they're more about atmosphere and buildup than constant action like slashers or zombie flicks. Those types of movies you do get more out of if you can allow yourself to become completely absorbed and get scared.Horror is just a genre that requires a little more participation from the audience than others and not everyone is up to that task so they invariably miss out on some of the enjoyment and don't get the appeal of a certain subset of genre flicks. Some people think Hereditary is good because it's a good drama and that's fine, but those of us who can appreciate it think Hereditary is good because it's a good drama that's only enhanced by its equally good horror elements and atmosphere. That's why so many great sci-fi movies also happen to be great horror movies.
>>205608383Remember, 8-4 is actually 9-5 since you cannot teleport to work.
>>205608383if you had starting working on a script 10 months ago you could be close to getting out of the wage cage forever.i often think about that when i realize ive been neeting for 16 months and have nothing to show for it. once we're wagies again, we'll never get time like this.
>>205609230>Me just back from cinema watching horror with two old grannies next to me on a night out>Lady next to me jumps at everything that needs any jumping at and has her face covered when it's leading up to a death or bodyI think those old ladies have more fun than horror because a lot of the >I'm not scared and would never beis really>Pls belief i'm 18 mr ticket vendor I have money I pay you and not be scared tnx
>>205609500Yeah. Conjuring 1&2 was perfect for getting spooked.
>>205609897Even a good jump scare or lewton bus that gets me normally makes me think it was worth the ticket
>>205608641that's like four episodes
>>205610542movie went nowhere>oh no, i have to change my grocery list!!
>>205610542Gem
Just saw that the main character is the tiny blonde cop from Reacher season 1. I'm in.
>>205610952Does she get naked?
>>205611340if i tell you she does will you watch it?
>>205611469I'll probably get around to watching it anyway, but it would be moved up the queue if she gets naked.
Do you like Killer Klowns From Outer Space?
>>205611571KINO
Do you like any of the original Scream mask movie designs?
>>205611571i do. a lot
>>205611548underwear only, but for decently long time
>>205611679
>>205611679the top one is ok. the ears spoil the right one. the others are too goofy. the simplicity is what makes it work.
>>205611679kek. imagine the one on the left being chosen for the whole franchise. i'd love to see that
>>205611340In Reacher, yes.
>>205611571I never thought I would like it as much as I did.
>>205611571I like how it's the only live-action feature from the director.Dude is a stop-motion / clay artist

Did you like Quinn in Scream 6?
>>205613404I’m not him.
>>205613404Everyone in LA has a trust fund lol. The minimum home price starts at 5 mill according to Zillow.
Sorry guys, I really couldn't get into Bay Of Blood. It had zero atmosphere, and I didn't give a shit about any of the characters.I much prefer Blood and Black Lace
>>205613616thats why a lot of people complain how they're homeless and cant afford to live in la lol
>>205613475No, I didn't like anybody in Scream 6
>>205613475Yes.
Say something nice about Freddy's Dead
>>205613831I look at Zillow and the map took up the whole screen and I had to zoom out and everything was over millions. Poor people and most people just compare themselves to the rich and then bitch and complain. Every celebrity we watch is worth over millions. Stop trying to shame rich people.
>>205613913Shitty movie. Series is garbage after the first one and you would know that if you watched them in a marathon.
>>205612735Economic reasons, but the 1990s it really took a nosedive.

Is Margaret Qailey worth millions by now?
>>205613475Cute psycho gf
>>205611571Its good but I sort of expected better given the cult following it has
>>205615121Nice
It’s hilarious even Millie Brown is worth millions at 21 and there are middle aged men still working.
New>>205615335>>205615335>>205615335

>>205613475No idea, I never watched that shit lol
>>205614350i like his appearance in it. the atmosphere is cool too.
