>>205535940time to go to bed christcuck, you've gotta get up early and hold hands around the breakfast table in the morning and talk in tongues.
Just put on a Zombie movie
>>205536175Which one?
>>205536258Asylums Zombie Night. Good so far off Tubi.
How's this version of Suspiria? I don't have a 4K player so I can't get the 4K version right now
>>205535954A lot of the HK films marked horror I've watched have actually been more like giallos. More horror adjacent, still kino though.
>>205536175Rob Zombie?
i would like to talk about how In a Violent Nature is literally about the inability of Man to overcome a violent Nature, which is itself nothing less than the everpresent reminder of his eventual, unavoidable demise.>the the whole reason the killings start is because a careless person takes the necklace (a locket - a symbol of captured history, motionless time - housed in a rotting wooden house), which is symbolic of Man disrupting the stillness of Nature, and the natural progression of time, growth, and entropy>every kill takes place when the victim is alone in a natural setting and involves a piece of nature, whether that be a tree, a lake, a cliff, etc>the multitude of shots of silent walking in nature, the only sound being the birds and bugs - the killer is literally the personification of the ever-creeping pursuit of nature, like an invasive vine that doesnt stop climbing until it strangles the tree entirely>the items of the killer are those of a firefighter - but a firefighter long since passed on. this symbolizes the futility of Man to fight against Natural forces, and his misunderstanding of the machinations of Nature itself. though Man may put out a fire on a building, the building will eventually decay anyway, and in fact fire is a healing force in nature and can be good for the environment. >since the "fireman" in this case is undead, he serves as a mirror of the human fireman. he doesnt put out the fire but he IS the fire. he burns away so there can be regrowth. those who TAKE from Nature get burned away, and the one who left Nature alone (gave back the necklace) is spared>and yet the threat of Nature is never fully gone. just because the storm is over, that doesnt mean you are safe from destruction. in time (and the slow procession of the killer is a symbol of this slow procession of time) all will succumb to the eating fire and become feeding ash
>>205536519I'm glad you liked it so much, but you have to understand why it bored me
>>205536519It's about a killer bear
>>205536437It looks pretty fine compared to the 4Khttps://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a=0&d1=11235&d2=13576&s1=110445&s2=136731&i=8&l=0
If you want to watch a bad zombie flick, watch Gangnam Zombie
>>205536573Koreans have gotten a big dick about zombies ever since Train to Busan dropped. They aren't good at it but they're convinced they're the shit.
Species (1995)
>>205535898>cuckooHave this movie a chance even though it has a tranny lead. The movie was dumb as shit and a boring concept. The movie never peaks in suspense, stuff happens but you're just kind of like oh okay
>>205536864It never helps when you make the main character completely unlikable. I think it was meant to be a biological woman, but they made her such an entitled little bitch that was a thief and completely irrational. Then betrays a character that saved her life multiple times
>>205535898nothing like some good contact lenses to spice up a film

>>205536519There's the mystery of the poison that makes animals aggressive and opens up the possibility that the killer's not even real. The guy in the cabin and the campers were simply in a violent nature
>>205536557yes, i do>>205536566that is an appropriate interpretation
alright I'm gonna put the Tomie sequel on.looking at wikipedia apparently in every single film Tomie is recast to another girl. this is not a sign of quality...
>>205537033Nice try, you're not fooling anyone
>>205537076that's interesting, i didnt notice that. I'll have to rewatch.
Wow. Candyman is not as good as I remember.
isnt time cut just a straight rip off of totally killer
>>205537098Not only are you the only person who gives a shit, I also suspect that you are all of these people. They only matter to you.
>>205537197Seems like one of those films that started production before the other came out and they were like ehhh lets just do it anyway.worse plot too because 90s is not far enough away to be funny for the audience.
>>205536864i did not care for cuckoo. it kept seeming like it was going to build up to something but every attempt it made to pay off the suspense was supremely uninteresting to me.

>>205538254Yeah, maybe 15 or 20 min less off the movie would be great, but overall I thought it was pretty decent. Nice style and shit. I also liked pic related from the same director.
i watching bone tomahawk for the first time and regardless of the hor content i think this movie might be the best representation of western life and culture ever filmed in terms of random little detailsthe dialogue is all weird and unique - it doesnt just sound like AI writing westerns like every other modern westernalso this guy (picrel) plays an injun in every single movie with injuns but his name Zahn McClarnon is weirdly irish.i like him

>>205538291nta but nails the grimey, rusty clive barker universe. virginia madsen is fantastic in it. unique setting. good performances. it's more of an investigative film, I don't remember it being much of a slashery slasher.

>>205539704>No trust me making the story about interracial romance (even though the original story had nothing to do with that) was totally needed okay!?Don't look up the early life of the director lmao
>>205539758What was wrong with it?

>>205540713I love that stupid cat
Tomie: Another Face wasn't bad. short made for tv looking anthology. lacking in blood.
>>205540812Tomie watcher, have you read all of the comics before?
>>205541104no I haven't, might sound stupid but I just quite liked the first film so am carrying on. I'm sure the Ito originals are great so I'll get to them eventually.
>>205541153It's not stupid at all to take films on their own terms without being familiar with the source material. You can really read through the comics quickly, so it's less of a commitment than watching all of the films. The comics are well worth reading. The only film I've watched was the last one Tomie Unlimited, years back, I wasn't a fan of it, but I'd made the mistake of watching it with family. I've been meaning to watch the other films and I'll probably get around to it soon.
>>205541411the names of the films are making me laugh because it's a classic horror meme. "The Final Chapter" but it's not the final film. also "Tomie vs. Tomie".you know I might actually look into ordering a hard copy of the manga, that'd be an enjoyable way to end it.

>To work around what he saw as the cliche of excessive screaming in horror films, Bernard Rose came up with the idea to have Virginia Madsen hypnotized in the scenes where she confronts Candyman >According to Todd, this process would occur prior to filming the scenes where he and Madsen interacted and would take roughly ten minutes to prepare.>This was accomplished through the use of a professional hypnotist who established a key word that Rose would use to put Madsen under a trancelike state.
Im going to watch this now
>Poster says 5 men>Movie only has 4 rapists Also the revenge part was super disappointing, the rapists were never the brightest bunch but they fell into the MC's traps (if they could even be label as such) so easily they might as well just killed themselves.
>>205545317religious horror gotta be my favorite genre, its always so cheesy and corny, while I have been in seminary and met many priests and nuns its so different. Of course movies are fiction, but its so funny how nuns are portrayed. Every nun I have met is the most completed person ever. Whatever god exist or not, they always so happy and kind. Its rare to find a priest like that tho, nun just to something different.

Is Beezel basely competent? Not really, it doesn't match the tension of assembly line Hollywood horror. But the late 20th century serial killer-type character is really well done. Then, Starry Eyes was directed by a couple of Germans, which explains its nasty social realist presentation and anxious, dreamy content. It's also understated and perhaps undercooked, as Euro movies tend to be.

Just found out this gem directed by Timo Tjahjanto dropt a couple weeks ago. It's an action flick, but Tjahjanto's works are total splatterfests.>Like most Tjahjanto projects, the film features several decapitations and “gallons” of blood. (The director estimated 85% of the blood was practical — like many splatter fans, the man loves squibs.)

More Mexican kino like Alucarda?
>>205563529>I found Oddity interesting, how would you compare it to Black Cab?BC is more linear plotwise but also vaguer-- it can go either in a supernatural or rational (so to speak) direction and there's a likelihood that the main character is an unreliable narrator . The cinematography/atmosphere is superb and gets you there in some increasingly spooky roads and it delivers on the scarejumps too. I say it's a nice unpretentious Sunday night horror watch and the ending will keep you guessing

At one point the lead actress even tries molesting a peasant boy and succeeds.

To add a coin to the classic horror term talk, anon pointed out>underas in, horror as an umbrella term.A thriller and Horror are different things. But a thriller can have horror elements and/or be a horror, since subgenres exist like Thriller+Horror. They are separate things but that doesn't mean that they're mutually exclusive.Anon is retarded but there has been so much overlapping and mismarketing of thriller/horror movies for years that I can get his thought process.

>>205563295The Night Comes for Us was good but this Shadow Strays is too feminist. Only the beginning was good. Also, Bagman is underrated.
Watched all of Subspecies and they were great. Any other Full Moon Features movies I should watch?
>>205570478>puppet master(mixed bag)>trancers(havent seen, looks good though)>the lurking fear>castle freak
Juanita López Moctezuma
>>205570778Thanks. Might tackle Puppet Master next. Seen Castle Freak already but liked it.
>>205570303>Shadow Strays is too feministThat just makes it even better because it's Ind*nesia of all places
>>205570911>Castle Freak I didn't realize this was a Lovecraft adaptation, I might watch it now even though it's probably nothing like The Outsider
>>205570478Puppet Master/Demonic Toys is quite the engrossing rabbit hole.AlsoPit and the PendulumCastle Freak
>>205567435I’m seeing it tonight, I’ll let you know how it is.
>>205571114Yeah, weird they went with female action stars instead of men. The beginning was good because they were wearing masks.
>>205571319Thanks!
>>205570799She lost so much weight
>>205570478>Full Moon FeaturesDo you include Empire in that? Same people, same style

>>205572167I found Sissy to be a pleasant surprise
>>205572081That's a classic
>>205572167Strange Darling is ok and has superb cinematography
>>205572081Will check it out
>>205572373It is a shit film. 0/10>>205572167Don't bother with Strange Darling. It is garbage and woke af.

>>205573302Kolobosfag
>>205573284No, it's watchable and the very opposite of "woke". Your spergout is dumb and therefore irrelevant
>>205572167You can skip In A Violent Nature, that's for sure
>>205572167The Nightingale
>>205573800I just watched this one last night. Very kino, but not horror. Some of the violence is quite disturbing though.
Just watched Oddity. Absolutely loved it. Didn’t realize it was from the same guy that directed Caveat but I can really tell. Dude has a talent for setting up a claustrophobic atmosphere and sound design that keeps you on edge.the final scene got more of a laugh out of me than a scare, but I saw exactly where it was going setting up the bell earlier on
>>205573284>woke aflmaoStrange Darling has its problems, but that is not one of them
>>205574058Yea - no
>>205574696>yeah, this movie wasn't woke. lol
>>205574661One of this year's best for sure
>>205574973Either some of you are womeme or just low IQ males.
>>205574973One of the movie's qualities is that it fools ppl who presume it'll be woke bc of the woman's hair in the poster or some such surface signifier. It filters those who cling to prejudgment from both sides of the fence. But it is clearly a conservative movie with one of the most anti-woke scenes of the year (most of those who saw it know exactly which one)
>>205575206Oh shut the fuck up with the poster is woke but the movie is not woke. Do you liberals hear yourself?
>>205574743Can you elaborate?
>>205575206Yeah, /hor/ is officially /horror now./hor/ was been subverted.Reddit won.
This is woke but it's still based
>>205575416Horror has always been a Jewish genre, you are a retarded faggot Television was invented by Jews for the purpose of subversion and brainwashing

>>205575206You are a woman, aren't you? Or some type of liberal soicuck?
>>205576033Are you ESL? Or do you somehow not see how the poster deceptively implies it's yet another aposematic (look it up) girlboss hero/wymmin stronk character when it's the very opposite?
>>205575759>NPMWhat is NPM?
>>205576421Yeah, you're just a low T male soicuck redditor, got it.

Hollywood movies are tools of subversion./hor/ has been subverted.
>>205576623Yeah, this general is infested with low T betamales. Being low T betamale is even the main issue, the issue is these males love to subvert.
>>205576623Nah, both you and Hollywood failed. Read the news
>>205576765You failed, you soi cuck. Now go watch X with your girlfriend's boyfriend.
>>205576374>yet another aposematic (look it up) girlboss hero/wymmin stronk characterThis never happens in movies. Her hair is just red because it symbolizes a certain something and is a foreshadowing of what happens in the movie.
>>205576842
>>205576842We've told you several times already: get out of the closet, go lust after black men irl since your X obsession is clearly homoerotic
>>205576842kek you just know that comment triggers him. he spazzes out every time someone says his gf fucks niggers
>>205576943>We've/horror has spoken. what is our response /hor/?
>>205576925Aposematism is typical of noxious species. In the human species it stands for evolutionary culs de sac as weirdos confuse attraction and mating with "danger". As for the movie, the red hair means nothing. It's mostly a chromatic choice that's reflected in the lighting etc and only vaguely suggests that the woman's off: perhaps a stripper or an art hoe but as it turns out a literal serial killer.
>>205577117> what is our response /hor/?Go ahead, reply to yourself as you've done so many times before to no one's surprise
>>205577212>As for the movie, the red hair means nothing.LOL.Subversive af comment. Yes, goyim, do not believe what you see.
The antagonist is supposed to represent some conservative guy too. Strange Darling is woke shit. Stay away.

>>205577689At least he is discussing horror instead of telling others a woke movie is not woke. You should try it sometime? Hm?
is this faggot really saying Strange Darling is woke because the girl wears a red wig in part of it?lmao
