there's that lil moment between Gabby and Sienna about 'we never made it to the moon'
there should be a fake out intro sequence with the two of them in space, like the 2009 Halloween 2 but stretched out for 30/45 minutes
and of course the trailers and promo material would only focus on the space stuff

either way the 'never made it to the moon' thing seemed way too specific to be just a random flavor text filler thing, surely that will go somewheres...

Just finished re-watching Bride of Re-Animator, since I re-watch Re-Animator earlier this morning
Very good, much better than I remember actually. It seems to follow the book more closely too (the war scene, the ending, the atmosphere, etc), which is quite cool. The entire ending and climax is better than the climax/ending of the first film too. They also basically confirm the doctor's head has some sort of telekinesis, as he was able to communicate with the other zombies while they were in different locations, so I guess they answered one of my questions about the first film.
Overall, I'd say it's just as good as the first one, so if you haven't seen this and liked the first one, check it out. Also, how the fuck do the gore effects in these films look more realistic than anything in those Terrifier movies?

depending on which version of this you watch there are several absolutely grueling and brutal coprophilia / coprophagia sequences featuring the inimitable Linea Quigley (in the original uncut edition she wears the same shaved down merkin thing from Return of the Living Dead which is ironic seeing as how RotLD burrows heavily into Kolobos lol)
+++bonus; the entire sequence is done Cinema Verite style and there is no CGI and the whole thing is 100$ unsimluated! so you get to see what Linea's turds and rectum actually look like in real life, at least how they looked in 1999, I imagine she has altered her diet slightly since then and so things may be a bit different now...+++
unfortunately there are many many cuts made to this sequence as that results in all the different versions of the picture floating around out there, different countries cut different segments depending on local decency laws etc but the best way to tell you are watching the correct version is that original Hand to Phone Cordless Mix by Adult. plays during the whole thing and it's perfectly sync'd up with the visuals and lasts exactly 5 minutes and 19..

I don't know, I think it's overrated. It has some moments but there's far better movies of its kind out there.

I couldn't help but compare it to John Carpenter's Christine as well, which is a much better Steven King car horror.

I don't like that there's no particular logic to what machines get brought to life. It'd be one thing if it were simply electricity and/or gas-powered things, but then the machine gun also turns and fires on its own. How? What the hell counts? The human survivors all arm up with guns and bazookas, why don't those become sentient too?

All the trucks start going rogue and driving themselves, and yet the married couple come in driving their car which is unaffected for no discernible reason.

I just tried re-watching Beyond Re-Animator and holy fuck this film is much worse than I recall it being. I couldn't even finish the re-watch, it's horrible.
It looks cheap as fuck, the CGI is shit, the score is mostly shit, it has nothing to do with the original story anymore, the acting is abysmal (besides Combs), the opening scene is laughably bad, etc
Skip this one unless you REALLY want another Re-Animator movie, though sometimes dead is better.
Ratings:
Re-Animator - 8/10
Bride of Re-Animator - 7/10
Beyond Re-Animator - 2/10, maybe 3/10?

Looking for a movie, possibly a giallo, but I can't think of the name of it. I think the plot is that adult models/actresses are killed one by one. The main model has huge tits and there's a scene where she is in the rain and she yells and you can see through her shirt, very big boobs. There's sometimes a webm of it posted here. I haven't been able to find it. I think it's late 70s or early 80s, not 100% certain though. I thought it may be Tinto Brass or Russ Meyer but I couldn't tell.

Yeah, and they spun some story about all 3 being released in 2024. It would have been legendary but my bullshit meter was off the charts. Apparently story details got leaked and they did a bunch of reshoots but it's not clear if that's the actual reason.

even assuming that is true, the amount of those which would be readily accessible to normal viewers is a tiny fraction, and if this kid is watching 1500 movies made within the last 6 years, wouldnt that in itself be somewhat admirable since it means he isnt just watching mainstream stuff, but actually digging around?

It was an incredibly stupid remake of the original. Some of the cinematography was alright but they went out of their way to make the characters annoying. I will be interested to see if there's a huge drop off or not.

I swear to God no IP has more peaks and valleys in quality than The Exorcist. How can a series with such amazing highs like The Exorcist, Exorcist 3: Legion, Exorcist The TV show and the Legion VR game exist in the same franchise as Exorcist 2: Heretic, those awful prequels movies and Exorcist: Believer? It’s like playing Russian roulette where you don’t know if you’re getting one of the greatest or one of the worst things to ever exist.

I would argue that Sienna also counts as she is both tortured physically and psychologically. And while the shower girl didn't take as much as the dude, she was also butchered. It wasn't as bad as the bedroom scene or the upside down sawing but if you count Santa, I think she should also count.

>Curse of Michael Myers
>Pros: Good mask, good kills, good atmosphere, great version of Michael and probably the best version of him in the sequels, good score, multiple memorable scenes, memorable characters
>Cons: The story is dumb, bad editing (though the Producer's Cut fixes that)

>H20
>Pros: Decent story, no more cult shit
>Cons: Awful masks, awful score, awful Michael, extremely low effort which was proven by the CGI mask, Michael doesn't even show up for half of the film, boring characters, inspired more by Scream than Halloween for some reason
Why is H20, the horrible Scream ripoff, considered the better film again?
