12 Angry Men because it’s the same but with actors I like better such as George C. Scott, William Petersen, Tony Danza, James Gandolfini and Armin Mueller-Stahl.
I wish that movie could be remade every 40 years so the best kinomeisters of every generation throughout cinematic history can come together and re-enact this very pinnacle of filmed theatre.

>Pin de Fartie unfolds as a playful spin on theatrical adaptation and an experiment in character dynamics. The film charts three relationships defined by Samuel Beckett’s 1957 play Fin de Partie (Endgame): one between a blind man and his daughter; another concerning two actors rehearsing that same text; the third following a man who reads his blind mother Beckett’s play and discovers that it reflects their lives.
When you see this kind of synopsis you know it's some unwatchable shit that should be aboided like a plague.
Every time I see "playful" in the film's description it ends up to be a flick of reptetive surrealist scenes that are supposed to be funny I guess but are awkward and boring as shit, and the whole fucking movie is centered around repeating a single gimmick over and over. I don't know why those movies are always described as playful. If you want a prime example - Freak Orlando. Utter shit that's impossible to watch from start to finish without getting a headache from boredom.

‘Zel as the seething old geezer who wants the kid to die because his son doesn’t talk to him anymore.
Glen Powell as the flip flopper advertising himbo.
Adam Friedland as the retard who keeps annoying everyone about the baseball game.
John Tuturro as the racist (Friedkin’s version has the racist be a Nation of Islam black supremacist so it’s only fair to share this character among all ethnicities).
Asia Argento in male drag as the foreign guy who believes too earnestly in the American justice system.
Brad Dourif as the nice old guy who is the first to go along with not guilty.
Christoph Waltz as the smug hero who has the knife and convinces everyone to vote not guilty.
Charlotte as the defendant.

A Spike Lee Joint. Zack Snyder behind the camera. Costumes designed by the first girl that is nice to me during pre-production. Robert Eggers has a cameo at the start where he steps on a land mine in the jury room and explodes in a shower of gore and the title card ticks down one digit like an alarm clock to read: 11 ANGRY MEN. Turns out we “accidentally” Landis’d him and Eggman’s actually dead. But really? Entire production was like M. Night Shyamalan’s TRAP. We really just wanted to get Eggman’s ass off the mortal coil. The movie’s just a bonus.

Fun fact: Hayao Miyazaki attended the English-language premiere of Howl's Moving Castle exclusively because of her.
>Steve Alpert: Yeah, he usually doesn't even watch the dubbed versions of his films. But the one he did watch was "Howl's Moving Castle." And the reason he did [laughs] was because we had a screening at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the legendary actress Lauren Bacall, who voiced a role, was going to attend.
>Miyazaki said, "The Lauren Bacall will be there? I'm going!" He sat next to her through the entire film. She flirted with him and held his hand. Afterward, he said he loved the dub. He was very happy.

You don't *have* to watch anything. Just know that The Human Condition really has to be that long, and no minute is wasted. The scope of it is enormous. Taking the cultural context of the time into account, the picture spoke for the silent majority. That's why it's beloved, and controversial.

>"I'm from CR", -which is true-,

This is mutilation of the English language. You are an ESL retard and everyone in the thread knows that you are. Not only are you incorrectly using hypens instead of dashes, but you are putting useless commas in after your attempt at dashing. Your "dashes" already provide the housing for the parenthetical phrase, "which is true". Commas are useless clutter in such a situation. Use one or the other, not both. This is my only lesson to you, the biggest retard in /film/. You make no money and you have no life.

He used to be tolerable but after the strange Antarctic penguins schizo episode he's become more morbid and malevolent in his episodes and I find it hard to put up with him anymore. Gadon is the only 'zo who has not become embittered and hostile to everyone around him and I appreciate that in him.

I watched Angelopoulos' Landscape in the Mist tonight. I felt it was a mixed bag. Some aspects were great, like the children's acting and the cinematography. Other aspects, such as the on-the-nose metaphors, excessively lingering takes, and the ethereal voiceovers, irked me.
