I guess the rainbow shit in the early 21st Century didn't work and humanity re-segregated in the intervening time instead of all becoming brownish-beige Goobacks. One of the things I always loved about Star Trek is the inherent optimism, and the near-future's so bright I gotta wear shades.
>>214509755your damn right, freighters are an important part of space exploration and colonization they may only go warp 2 but slow and steady wins the race heh just something my dad liked to say a bit of good ol fashioned freighter wisdom
Tonight we're on the bridge of the starship Enterprise, where we've replaced the fine coffee they usually serve with sand and ground-up clam shells. Let's see if Scotty notices.

Fucking Bros! The SNW showrunners hyping season 4 as “the best work we’ve done”!https://trekmovie.com/2025/09/09/star-trek-strange-new-worlds-season-4-teased-as-best-yet-with-more-kirk-spock-and-something-new-for-una/>Akiva Goldsman: “Thank you guys for following along with us on this journey. There were certainly sort of stumbling blocks along the way, you know, season 3, I’m very happy it’s over. Because we had a strike, and we sort of had to manage all sort of work on the fly a little bit. I think season 4, for me, is the best work we’ve done… Everybody’s working at their stride.”>Henry Alonso Myers: “I think that’s true… We try to approach every season from the idea of: If this is the last season, what do we want to do? Let’s just treat it like you don’t get to do another one. Let’s try everything that we could possibly want to try. It’s a crazy, dynamic, interesting, terrifying, exciting thing to do.”

Decided to not count the pilot to make it more fair but I'm onto bingo multiple times by episode 8 of VOY.Could replace some of these with "Tom can't keep it in his pants" and "Detective Tuovk decides to mindmeld" and I'd still have full bingo.

>>214512982i can never tell if this bingo card is ironic or not
>>214512982That's easy when you repeat several boxes multiple times, retard
>>214513175Due to the rather unique way VOY episodes repeat themselves it works as both a shitpost and a serious take.
>>214512981its racist but not really problematic. it's just a super bad episode, even if the "Aliens" looked different it would still suck ass. Right up there with>the episode with an imaginary friend>the episode with the shape shifting old bitch>the episode where troi gets space pregnant>the episode thats just a clip showthere are other bad episodes but those are a little bit entertaining these are all just dogshit and would have been bad even in the TOS era.

So I watched Star Trek 09 and I'm now watching Into Darkness in my timeline order this is after Prodigy, and I have to say after watching tons and tons of Berman Trek I can now understand why people didn't like these movies. I first saw them before having seen a lot of other Star Trek, and holy balls these movies are fucking stupid. I think I hate Uhura the most. But it's a close competition. I genuinely hate these movies more than the SNW and Lower Decks however. JJ Abrams is truly a hack extraordinnaire.
>>214515283You need to really love Kirk to max-hate the JJ movies because they turn him from a thoughtful bookworm nerd prodigy from the colonies whose family was from iowa into a retarded fratboy from iowa who gets promoted from cadet straight to captain like a super hero.
>>214515305No I do love Kirk he's my favorite captain so yeah JJ Abrams Kirk is just like a fucking horror show. Spock really isn't much better.

>>214516793I happen to like SNW but this take is fucking retarded

>>214518467I have a sensitivity for editing, and it's like Uhura has nothing to do but I feel like she's just the stupid wife/girlfriend insert character and there's at least 5 different instances of a "cut to Uhura reacting to something" shot. It's like she's there just to tell stupid women how to pretend to feel about what's happening. Oh Admiral RoboCop is about to blow up the ship, cut to Uhura, ohhhhh she's sad about that. Okay. She's genuinely useless except I can feel the editing people saying "we need to inform the audience on how to feel right now."
>>214518451The fuck? Did a crippled turtle fuck a janny's mother or something?
The United Federation of Planets supports bestiality and incest, and by extension so does Starfleet. At the very least by the TNG era.For incest, there are over 150 member worlds by this time, in almost every culture of our past there have been deep rooted elements of incest in lore and religion, as well as plenty of examples in human practices of some cultures. It's still prevalent between mother and son in some countries like Japan today. So, I postulate there must be at least a few worlds where this became common practice, or at least not looked at with outright hostility and disgust, likely after developing ways to counter the negative effects through gene therapy or manipulation. Therefore, there must be allowances for such things within the laws of the Federation. Please note, I am not talking about pederasty, only consensual adult interactions, as the Federation has clear laws about protecting children until adulthood, whatever the world's accepted age for that would be, likely at least full physical maturity and the end of brain development. For bestiality, there are many examples. The Trill hosts entire existence, you don't communicate with the thing until it's "inside" you, protected heavily by their customs. Vulcan also regularly penetrate the minds of beasts such as Spock's pet Sehlat, as well as even more alien and less salient creatures such as the rock creatures known as Horta. This semi- or even non-consensual penetration would have to be as acceptable or unacceptable as physical penetration, as no Vulcan is punished for such acts during any of the shows, bestiality must be, to some extent, a legally protected practice.
what a mess of a thread the only thing to do is post your favorite freighter for me its the talarian batris, now sure it might look a bit run down but it will get your cargo where it needs to go and thats what its all about.

>>214519386Penetration is penetration. If someone forces a mind meld on a member of Starfleet it counts as mind rape and they go to jail. Remember that dude that mind raped Deanna because of his daddy issues?
>>214510960Forgot to mention the worst part. They had one of the enterprise crew introduce the Scotsman to scotch. That's right, our Scotty starts out as a teetotaler. Sometimes this show is enough to drive me to drink.

>>214519817Seth Rogan as Captain Picard
>>214519419Again, a different process with a different set of ethics. It's considered intimate but equating it 1:1 with sex doesn't work. Otherwise troi's mom would be on offender lists across half the federation and her relationship with her daughter takes on Kill La Kill levels of freaky. Or is that where you were going with this?If you really want to play the zoo/pedo card though, consider that sex between a Deltan and a human would effectively be considered one or the other...for the Deltan.
>>214519669Who dishonored your Wheaties?
>>214519851Lwanxana just spoke telepathically to people, it wasn't a forced mind penetration past attempted dialogue. Maybe that's where the separation starts. I'm no expert or anything, just extrapolating from available data. I'll give you that it's certainly a different type of crime, but my point is that if Vulcans are allowed to basically mind control non-sapient beings, then bestiality must be addressed similarly. You have a point with Deltans. There's also things we currently consider animals that would be legal such a cetaceans, given Cetacean Ops is now canon.

Why do Cats praise Arena as a great episode? That's so... quaint. Like, Kirk just yeets rocks at a lizard man while monologuing about peace? Adorable, but let's be real, TOS was basically a space Western fanfic written by Shatner's ego. Give me Pike curb-stomping that fascist in SNW's A Quality of Mercy along with the modern effects, actual stakes, and no outdated bro-code where women are just set dressing.
The guy above me prompted ChatGPT to write the gayest criticism of Arena imaginable
>>214519958Did she ask permission before "communicating?" That could as easily be taken as unwelcome intrusion. She's also outright mindprobed people without consent before, or suggested same as with picard. If it's primarily viewed as a form of communication, than directing an animal is no worse than training a dog to respond to commands, which is hardly bestiality.

As if that box could hold The Sisko.
You can tell they really just wanted to do a "put a black man in a box" episode so Brooks could act like sidney poitier
Benny in a box.I had a cat named Benny. that's what we used to call him because he loved boxes
JUST LOCATED: MORGAN SILVER DOLLARS!>*shows footage of a guy opening a vault door in like 1993, letting everyone know this commercial has been running for like 30 years*>*claims India is rich*
Voyager is SNW tier in that the writing is awful at times but the actors being their all. The theme song for VOY is the best though. It really is an emotional journey.
>>214523396>Voyager is SNW tierShut the fuck up retard. The worst VOY episode is better than the best SNW episode.
>>214523490>The worst VOY episode is better than the best SNW episode.Ok now you are just Fucking trolling.
>>214523555No, I'm not. Threshold is legitimately better than any SNW episode.
Lol that kid is lucky Miles didn't have a PTSD flashback and snap his neck like a filthy Cardi.
I love her retarded son smiling in the background as she says this unhinged schzio shit

Such a weird ending. >Maybe it's okay to be a weird cult leader and mislead people... sometimes? I guess...

>>214527049because its pure unadulterated KINO so rare
>>214527049TNG was popular so it was decided to reuse a TNG script to make TMP

>>214527091what so funny isn't this scene its that Paris was right and the guy Neelix is talking about is a career criminal which is a lesson Neelix learns at the end. Never trust Nygeans stats don't lie.
>>214527188The writers of trek used to be of a much greater quality. While they for sure had their political opinions they would craft stories that could contain multiple viewpoints without always expressing which is the correct one, leaving it up to the viewer to make an informed decision .A shame the current writers are little better than children without skill or life experience.
>>214527091his character growth is nice. he starts out as the relatable guy which is why they gave him all the car, tv, 20th century references. once he shacks up with b'elanna he becomes more wholesome and they show that in a lot of eps.
>>214509790>ywnb bev’s sex ghostwhy even live
>>214527318true the A plot in this ep is stellar and a lot of that is the actors all of them, and while the characters aka 7 sympathize with the "bad guy", you can reach any conclusion you'd like. It presents a moral conundrum and then it plays out and its up to you the viewer to decide where you stand on the topic at hand. The show doesn't tell you what you should think. Its something modern idiot writers can't comprehend, you must be told how to think and what to think.
Rewatching this as an adult, I didn't expect the emotional gut punch at the end. Yeah, we knew Ro's childhood was terrible, but seeing her at the end of the episode, getting just a small taste of what being a kid in the Federation would've been like and being truly happy just for a few moments is more brutally effective than any monologue about pain and misery.
>>214527637That episode was kind of dumb, there was no compelling reason for all of them not to relive their youths. There should have been somekind of medical reason to change them back, like they'd die in a few months/years from DNA damage if not reverted.
>>214527758They humans of the future are better than you are i. While we would probably take the extended life span and new youth they know better. They know they would no longer be the same people they were.
>>214511815Iirc Trekkies have actually done surveys of this and discovered that most Admirals are at worst morally neutral. They usually give the crew orders and then leave. The corrupt maniacs tend to stand out because the plot of the episode is literally about dealing with them, while the nice or neutral admirals are just exposition dumps.>>214512766My problem with this is using the Klingons for a ten second joke. I know it's not a serious episode, but Pyke should've sung a duet with the Klingon captain to try to get him to cooperate.
>>214527637It was a wasted opportunity to explore their youth and just a plot device for the silly Home Alone plot.
>>214527399>I wish I was back in prison.

>>214528433You just made me wonder what baby Ro is up to now. I look her up on IMDB. She seems to be a successful producer on NatGeo shows. Good for her. Then I look up the Picard boy. Looks like his acting career fizzled out. But he was in movies and shows all through the '90s and '00s. I'd never heard of this before. But, Matt LeBlanc was in a WW2 movie. Where he and some commandos dress in drag to infiltrate Germany. And boy Picard was in that. And because he is English. He guest starred in an episode of The Bill. Maybe the only Bill/Trek crossover actor. Incredible if true

>>214529210I find it funny, and sad, that when first introduced he was clearly supposed to be some kind of animalistic lizard/cat... thing, but over time they just sort of gave up and made him another generic near-human alien. Makes me wonder if that'd be the same fate of a Caitian/Ferasan/Gorn crewmember in any live action Trek shows.

It's too dark, turn teh lights on.
>>214531558There’s a comfiness in DS9’s dim lighting. Like browsing your phone in Night Mode when you can’t sleep at 2:00 AM. But I prefer TNG’s warm pastels every time.
