Awoooo (Werewolves of London) editionPrevious >>215268106
>>215273417Bad Moon is the best.
Bad Moon sucks
>hard cider>candy corn>roast squash>pumpkin soup>cheap milk chocolateGod I love October
For me, it's The Company of Wolves
>>215273484
>>215273417I used to hands down think AWIL was the best werewolf, but I've since gone more were and less wolf to the Howling ones
>>215273417So in a couple of previous threads I asked what the best /hor/ tits (>>215228262) and /hor/ asses (>>215246218) were. This time I'm asking what the coolest looking villain is.Also if you missed out on the tits or ass question, you can just post it here.My choice is Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th Part 2. Sackhead Slashers are a goated classic.
>>215273502they lack the bunny ears in that scene though because it's stop motion. probably filmed it separately.
>>215273510For me? It's Michael-Fu.
Thought I finished the PA series and then remembered I still need to watch PA 2: Tokyo Night.
>>215273529I can't remember a single thing about the story of these films. Do they even have a connected story?
>>215273510>>215246218>Fiona Dourif>Brad's daughterHe just doesn't stop providing kino, does he, even when not directly involved anymore.
>>215273501>walking down the alley where the crack addicts are
K O L O B O SO L O B O S KL O B O S K OO B O S K O LB O S K O L OO S K O L O BS K O L O B O
>>215273541They're all connected. I watched it in chronological order (only affects the first 3) and I think that helps. The problem is that Next Of Kin isn't really part of the main storyline. Basically, at the end of Ghost Dimension, Tobi gets a human form. So I assume between it and Next Of Kin, Tobi has been jumping bodies for some unknown reason and somehow gets trapped by this weird Amish larping cult without the Midwives getting involved. Yeah, it doesn't make much sense, honestly.
Whichever one of you retards that posted The Coldness a month or two ago, go fuck yourself. That shit wasn't even a horror movie, but a crime drama. Half the thing was just the cop bitching about his dead wife, who it turns out he killed.
>>215273501
Welp, we're halfway thru October already. Fuck me.1/2>DeepStar Six (1989)God fucking damn it, Snyder! Anyway, kino as fuck. Cool monster, although I seriously doubt it would be able to fuck up a deepsea pressure suit, let alone a whole submarine, but cool nonetheless. This "failure" of a movie beats the shit out the modern slop, thanks to its sets and practical effects. I watched Leviathan with Peter Weller last year and apparently there's a whole slew of deepsea-themed creature horrors and I liked Deepstar the most.RIP Carolco, you were the realest nigga in the industry.>One Missed Call (2003)I say it lacked subtlety for my taste, but alright overall.>Alien: Romulus (2024)Shite. When I learned some spoilers about it, I thought it was Alien 4 retelling, but it was worse than that. Nonsensical premise, shit de-aging, link to Prometheus cinematic universe, overall lame action and unlikable characters, except for 'tism nigga. Interestingly enough, the other Ridley Scott related media, Raised by Wolves, also contains dad-joke spilling black android who is also the only likable character.>The Substance (2024)Never thought The Wall is this scary. like damn... And last 30 minutes were unnecessary.>Children of the Corn (1984)Classic. Not as shocking as it was when I watched it way back, but still good. Fucking Malachi tho>Dead Silence (2007)Straightforward, but nice. No bullshit. Didn't see that twist coming.>Slither (2006)Feels like the most by-the-numbers movie ever. Dunno why it didn't move me. Okay monster I guess.>Barbarian (2022)Well, that was weird to say the least. And sad. But I guess this is the only way to get a wife in this day and age.
>>215273597I remember the Amish cult one, that one stands out. I might have skipped Ghost Dimension and not realized.
*howls in unison*
Oh yeah, another fuck you for whoever posted about Solvent. Started off strong and then tanked hard after the discovery of the pipe. It has body horror elements, but that's all that makes it a horror movie. It's a psychological drama at its core. Didn't really need to see the dude's penis that many times as well. Is the director gay or something?
>>215273626>last 30 minutes were unnecessary. The bloatmaxxing of films must be stopped.
>>215273626>Welp, we're halfway thru October already.I hope you all had fun. It's practically over.
KALI MA
>>215273641I was actually googling that earlier today. His previous film Masking Threshold apparently is about a gay guy. I'm just guessing yes, it seemed like I was being subjected to someones piss fetish. But it's not on his wiki page about all his weirdings.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannes_Grenzfurthner
2/2>Hole 3D (2009)Decent. Very cool jestah puppet. But damn, without 3D screen some moments looked very off.>Jennifer's Body (2009)Not really /hor/ material, but brettygud. And it was nice to see pre-bog Megan Fox. Man, I wish I was a normal high-schooler instead of playing video games...>Skinamarink (2022)Over-stretched Scrimblo Catalogue video. A very difficult watch.>Dead Birds (2004) I appreciate the setting: wild west-ish civil war and a horror, rare stuff. But it was subpar.>Lazarus Effect (2013)Alright, soiled by poor CGI. They really need to chose Olivia Wilde's haircuts better>Prey for the Devil (2022)Very light on the spoopy side, but I loved how straight they played it.However, using a crucifies to break a padlock? Come the fuck on!>Longlegs (2024)I expected Kage Cino, I got your typical le slowburn with no bassdrop. Disappointed.>>215273484I'll check this out. It's been a while since I watched a werewolf mobie.
>>215273630Ghost Dimension had the most effective jump scares of the entire series. I actually think 4 was one of the best, which goes against most rankings.
>>215273417>When was the last time you got it up, anon?
going to go buy some donuts and watch scooby doo
>>215273668Yeah, the whole focus on piss drinking is weird as fuck. At least the neighbor, Fredi Weinhappl, was the best part of the movie, which isn't saying much. That's mostly from what the said during his first scene.
>>215273656>I hope you all had fun. It's practically over.Still a week away from when my watchlist really gets cooking with the specifically halloween-night-themed kinos
>>215273722Glazed are the best donuts. I hate donuts with filling in it.
>>215273728Rhonda was best girl and I hope we can all agree on that
>vampires are also able to turn into wolves, traditionallyWhat do werewolves really get to their own? Just the spontaneity of the transformation? Even then you get a movie like Silver Bullet where they can transform at will
>>215273756You mean Rhonda the RETARD? That Rhonda? The RETARDED one?
>>215273758Well you mentioned it, they're killed by silver bullets. Also they turn forcibly when a full moon comes out, but revert when it's over. So it's more a parable about the primal forces in man that take us over temporarily. Vampires are forced to live eternally in a world of darkness.
>>215273738getting cider donuts
>>215273758Traditionally, werewolves were often also witches who made pacts with the devil for magical powers, one of which being werewolfism. A lot of the Witch Trials of the early modern period were actually Werewolf Witch Trials.
>>215273758In some werewolf films they get powers in human form as well. Normally healing, or a strong sense of smell.
>>215273417Awww, what a cute widdle puppy wuppy!!!FACT!!!
>>215273417watched howl the other night, turned out pretty solid. it's like train to busan, but with werewolves instead of zombies. my only real complaint is how the werewolves looked in the closeups, which is a shame cause i loved how they looked silhouetted and wish they did that more
>>215273758The difference is the pathology of each monster Vampires are cunning predators who live among us but are constrained by power buffs (the sun, invitations only etc) because a human can't best one in direct conflict. They're scary because they're parasitic and "infest" a community. They're scary to be a victim ofWerewolves are scary on the other hand to become. You have to pass in human society knowing you will erupt and lose all humanity at a defined point and that the other villagers can kill you pretty easily. It's a fear of being forced to break social mores against your will and get killed for it
Just finished. The central premise is just too unbelievable. This is the darkest subject matter possible for a movie, as proven by Manchester By the Sea being imo the darkest movie I've ever seen, but this main character's reaction is so counterintuitive that it makes the whole movie seem like "why is any of this happening?"
>>215273656you won't demoralize me paul you motherfucker
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwVle16RHKY
Almost at the amount of movies I watched last year in October. I'm absolutely crushing it this year. More rewatches than last year, I think.
Three Extremes dropped today in HDIt's a good anthology, give it a shot
how do we revive the werewolf genre?
>>215274418By killing furfaggots like you off.
Pretty mediocre, definitely the worst Benson-Moorhead movie I've seen. Also it isn't horror at all, not even horror adjacent, just uninspired sci-fi.
this made people shit and cum
>>215273607Kek, that was me but I did warn you and even by autistic standards it's a horror movie the witchcraft working is your clue Just because there's a cop and dead bodies doesn't mean it's necessarily a crime
>want to go to the spook movies tomorrow >this happens
>>215273899I tried watching this but everyone was british and I gave up 20 minutes in.
>>215274680Go fuck yourself /hor/ fren. Just because it has witchcraft doesn't mean it's a horror movie. It's not even the spooky kind of witchcraft. Is Sabrina The Teenage Witch a horror tv show? No, of course not. Still a great show though, and MJH was waifu material.>Just because there's a cop and dead bodies doesn't mean it's necessarily a crimeHalf the movie is about investigating to see if two suicides weren't done by a serial killer instead. That definitely fits into the crime genre.
>>215274728Yeah but if you're telling people it's a crime movie they're going to be disappointed when it turns out it's just the devil tempting themAnyway, since you've seen it, I love the implication the other cop never used it for his wife or health once he got the money
>>215274778>here's my cop friend from the force>he's definitely very smart>sounds like a borderline retard>place of a hoarderSomething didn't add up with him. I'd rather watch an entire movie about the witch youtuber, she was easily the best part.
This next one is for you. For all you lost souls racing down that long road to redemption and all you sinners running from your past but heading straight into that pit of darkness up ahead. We're all on the same endless highway... the one with no name, no exits... looking for a way out of tonight and into tomorrow.
>>215274831Yeah she was cute but I like the rich cop's implication, and the implication the other one never worked out where the money came from because he wouldn't understand not doing the other twoNot being greedy beyond the riches of Croesus is slightly smarter than everyone who found out. Besides the witch.
How will you be dealing with Sadako?
Wednesday's only redeeming qualities are the cute girls, and even they hit the wall! Thankfully season 2 was filmed before that happened
>>215274953Most the non-faggot version, faggot
>>215274953Movies are books? Book form is hard to beat since the video gets put on the internet eventually, and you'd eventually get tricked into watching it (Ringroll if you will).
>>215274962What's that ugly brown thing?
watch Demons (1985)
>>215273833!!!FAG!!!
I'm watching today They Live! by John Carpenter
>>215275033Your mirror, Pajeet.
>>215275148As long you're watching stuff that ain't even very halloweenyDouble header it with THE STUFF
>>215275148Great movie but not really horror. More like a documentary.
Watched Cabin Fever tonight, fucking died laughing when Dennis jumped off the chair and started busting out martial arts for some fucking reason.
sigh… when I was a kid, I’d spend long nights just reading horror manga scansthese days though, nothing seems interesting enough to start
>>215275186Seen the stuff years ago, I really liked it,love those sci-fi concepts>>215275194I know but I'm starting watching one yes one no horror movie for the month, and now i'll go more darker and darker till full halloween week marathong (will be like 10 full days but wathever)
where are the new horror releases at? It's fucking october and we've gotten V/H/S and fucking Strangers Chapter 2 (Do not watch)
My favorite book is Doubt Humanity
>>215275407>Submit and Surrender I feel like this is only a horror for some people
>>215275379>Strangers Chapter 2 (Do not watch)Oh, I'm gonna watch it.
>>215275379FNAF2 and Black Phone 2 are coming out soon iirc.
>>215273758Traditionally a werewolf is just a guy who turns into a wolf not a dogman. It's kind of like how vampires don't live in castles just Count Dracula because he's a count.
>>215273529I also haven't seen that one yet. Thanks for the reminder
>>215275485Kek, I can remember if it was a book or TV or movie vampire thing but you reminded me of a vampire story where they're all rich because they live a long time so if you buy some random thermos in 1924 it's a rare collectors item in 1994, like they're all in the antiques trade
>>215275565That’s pretty cute you could probably stretch that out to them also being crazy hoarders
>>215274366Which is better, Three or Three Extemes?
>>215275565The main character in Forever Knight has a vampire accountant (lmao) who cooks the books for the Toronto vampire community.
>>215275641>Diogenes symdrome vampire
>>215275719three is funny because it's what lead to the making of three extremes but then for the american release they titled it three extremes 2
