I just watched the movie again and sobbed a couple of times brehs.>Jake and Spider moment doesn't look jarring as it was for me in the first time, and i shed a tears here. This was proper closure scene for Sulley's Hatred theme. Also i think Spider's actor did well, i didn't feel like he underact or anything. This is something that really bothered me about the avatar films. In the fist one, there was that line during the final battle where Quartich says to Sully "Hey Sully, how does it feel to betray your own race?" and in the fist film it was meant to come across as hyperbolic and only something a bigoted man like Quartich would say. But in the beginning of the second one, we are shown that Quartich wasn't wrong, Sully did betray humanity, he raises his kids to hate humanity including his adopted fully human son. There is this scene toward the beginning of the second one where the adopted human kid sees other humans for the first time in his life and his only reaction is revulsion. It left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Isn't it kind of weird that Varang's people became this super evil group of marauders in a single generation? I mean sure when you're a Na'vi and brought up to believe in Eywa you'd be pissed when your tribe is destroyed while Eywa seemingly did nothing, but why would they totally turn against everything and become evil?
