Just saw this episode with the two Rikers and it was depressing. Riker being unnecessarily mean to a hurt Riker who had been living in isolation for years and bossing him around because of his rank was really shitty to watch.Also the episode's possible implication that people dont have souls because it showed that a carbon copy of a person can be made through an anomaly in the holodeck.

Mr Ambition was just sort of "there" for the rest of the series, and they couldn't follow the logical path of the decision he made to stay on the Enterprise (by all rights he should have gotten back with Troi, and evolved in other ways after deciding to take things slow) (and yes I know they got back together in the movies but fuck the movies)
