She has nothing coming for her. And her father pushed her towards marriage. Yet entitled Rhaenyra acts like she's some evil manipulative slut for it? So why do people sympathise with Rhaenyra? Rhaenyra cheats on her husband and everyone knows. Whilst Alicent does her duty and is hated for it. Sons are born, the King does nothing to change the situation. Tells Rhaenyra the prophecy but no one else. Then Daemon murders his wife (which people just ignore) and married Rhaenyra. And all the Black supporters just ignore this shit. Alicent's son loses a fucking eye and again, no one gives a crap. And Alicent hears the King's dying request. Alicent hasn't really had a chance to be a good mother whilst Rhaenyra is a shit mom who gets her kid killed. Then she gave up for most the season whilst Daemon plotted. Rhaenyra fans hated Daemon, then supported him, then hated him again. It's all so fucking bizarre. Every conversation I've had about it with a Black supporter irl has them ignore 99% of what happened just because Rhaenyra is presented as the heckin' sympathetic one. But Alicent really did little wrong.
