HOTD is a pale imitation of GOT that completely fails to capture what made the first four seasons so great in the first place. It managed to piss off GRRM before season 2 was even released, lmao. AKOTSK is completely scaled back, far shorter and sets its own tone yet manages to feel like a truer successor than HOTD could ever be. It's fucking astonishing how things have turned out so far. If they manage to keep up this level of quality, it'll leave HOTD in the dust.
