It really wasn't as smart or groundbreaking as it thought it was which is a shame because I like Cruise's performance and thought the play within a movie gimmick was kinda fun
No it really isn’t. The performances were good and the production design was on point but the script was a muddled mess. Also if you “dig” deep into the meaning of the film it’s pretty much “white ppl bad, they destroy the environment then use entertainment as catharsis so the browns don’t rise up and kill them”. Which is ridiculous because browns are the biggest polluters on the planet as seen by India, Africa, South East Asia etc
