I own a mechanical keyboard with keychron keycaps, but an akko body and keycaps (dracula)The keycaps aren't bad but holy shit never, ever buy the Akko 5075. It's dogshit. I bought it simply because I wanted something slightly smaller (75% which I'm starting to regret) and because my keychron keyboard started being getting stupid with the LEDs even when turned off.This akko runs out of battery pretty quickly even with LEDs off, has quite a few connectivity problems (takes a while to wake up too) even through cable, goes to sleep too quickly, maybe because of its anemic battery, and all it has is a decent body for avoiding noise. The volume knob is the worst. I used a volume knob on my previous keychron, I could flick it very quickly to lower the volume down by a lot (sure I can mute, but it's still useful) while with this rotary encoder something must be off, because you can quickly rotate it 30 times and the volume will go down by 12%. It's like it has negative acceleration or something.It does look pretty cheap underneath. I don't recommend it. I don't know what to buy to replace this shit but I might even go back to the keychron I had and attempt to fix the LEDs or something, fuck, I don't know. Piece of shit cost nearly 100€ with no switches or keycaps.

The issue is lack of parts compared to regular mechanical switches, I prefer low profile too and learned that the hard way.At least it's possible to get really close with standard parts. For me the game changer was switching to the shallower Cherry profile keycaps instead of the OEM profile all keyboards come with, and using Durock T1 switches which have the tactile bump right at the top of the travel. If you're used to membrane/scissor style keyboards, this is about the closest you can get to it without shelling out $200+ for more exotic switch types like Topre, and while it's still not a low profile keyboard, it gets really close to it.

Then we had the New Mario Bros series with those soulless 3D graphics for decades, until Nintendo finally tried something more artistic because of the pressure the movie put on them.By the way, I find the movie's influence on Nintendo funny.
