It went from being an open world that used the rail system to get around to a very linear story where the rails are these stupid loops for a set up action set piece like at Universal Theme park. If the game had come out 5 years later in 2018 when PC's could handle what they wanted we would have had a better game instead of the mess Infinite was. The marketing wasn't really a lie but more of a failed promise from the technological limitations.

In HotA/WoG it could be S-tier on those maps ("spam elementals and implosion and resurrection every fight" and not run out on your two weeks long journey without replenishment).
