We all know the offshoots of Illusion are unlikely to deliver a game like AA2. Yeah, there is SVS but it is a mixed bag of nice upgrades, many sidegrades, and crippled gameplay. So I've been working on my own making a replica of AA2 with a modern game engine from scratch. I aim to:* replicate the entire gameplay from AA2* legacy AA2 card loading compatibility* legacy AAUnlimited compatibility* break away from the Illusion way of doing things (embrace modding, enhance user generated assets experience)* expand behavior modding (AAU triggers and modules)I am currently using AA2 models and assets because those are the best assets I am familiar with, and because I am partial to the AA2 art style. However, the art style is not set in stone yet and it can change. In an ideal world I would be rich or would have funding to commission whole new assets, making this a completely new game. For now AA2 assets will do.That's it. I've likely forgotten something I wanted to add here so ask away.
>>729786141Are you one of the aau devs? if youre serious can you drop a link / email cause ive also been brainstorming ideas about this game for years now
>>729799219You can do exactly that with aau modules im pretty sure
>>729786141Good luck anon. I haven't played AA (...that artstyle is rough) but I played SVS and Koikatsu and routinely turn on Emotion Creators. I know, different games. But in SVS, I found I had to orchestrate 2 guys and a gal to all be lovers with each other (all 3 pairs needed high sexual experience and love and yadda yadda) just to unlock the MMF scene. I would like to request a way to get orchestrate an MMF scenario even if the girl is a virgin. And without the 2 guys (or 3 or more guys in MMM+F scenarios) being in gay relationships with each other.Of course this would be far out, after you recreate the game. But once you have momentum and main game done, please keep this in mind.

>Turning off the "Hair" practically doubles the FPS and in some cases looks outright better (when it gets wet in the rain)This is just a cutscene example. It gets worse when you're actually in the thick of action. Are there any other examples of poorly programmed/fucked up graphical settings?
The hair effects are nice though.
>>729800315The hair effects in the new RE trailer are too over the top like the hair lighting.
>>729796123Dunno, Stellar Blade developers were obsessed with her hair and the final result still mid. So mid that most people prefer to play her with short hair.
>>729801935The hair physics in Stellar blade honestly looks like shit. Atleast it doesnt affect the performance.
>>729800315who is this ugly goblina?
Do you think there'll be a third game or are they done after the backlash?
What's the deal with anti-Indian racism lately?
>>729802350There hasn't been any backlash. Only manufactured outrage ny grifters who don't play videogames
>>729802504>why do people hate ugly, smelly little men who make everyone uncomfortable just by being near them
Wow, TotK is actually that good. I didn't believe that this game was the GOTY material but wow it actually is. And with Switch 2 version? It runs amazing. Simply incredibleAlso Happy New Year everyone
>>729793930Was thinking of playing this, but I heard this wasn't a proper reboot.I don't want to play a quadrillion other Zelda games.
>>729801836The problem with these games taking so fucking long to make is that they don't want to waste a world they spent 5 years making for BotW. The devtimes themselves are an underspoken reason for why big open world design was a mistake for Zelda (also just being a huge resource/manpower bottleneck).
>>729794782>/pol/fag reads cuck pornJust another day ending in Y.
>>729802262Not sure what you mean by proper reboot, but no Zelda is really a wrong starting point, least of all BOTW.If you mean story, then I really wouldn't worry. Most of them are self-contained and don't really require need knowledge of the series-wide lore.
>>729793930HiFi Rush beats it out for GOTY

>>729793705How great is it?
How is this game?I don't like the earlier FNAF, but I always liked Poppy Playtime. Those feel more like actual games.
>>729801983It is most similar to Poppy Playtime in terms of gameplay, with elements of hiding and avoiding a roaming enemy.I like it overall, but it has a few frustrating parts that didn't feel playtested. I played through it recently to get the secret ending and oh brother, I was losing my patience with two parts of the game specifically. The charm and atmosphere of the game is really good though, and I think it has the best story of any of the FNAF games before it. It has a few tense and creepy moments (one being optional you have to go out of your way to find), but overall it wasn't that scary. Music is good. Gameplay is simple but sometimes repetitive. It is so much better and less glitchy than Security Breach.Overall: Pretty good, with a few frustratingly unfair moments that dampen the experience at times.

Here is the link to the list of various Tower Defense games, I hope it can be useful.https://towerdefensegameslist.netlify.app/https://nomansskymyblog.blogspot.com/2025/12/tower-defense-games.html
I love this genre so much, pic related and Demonic Defense held it down for me during the summer.
Post a game from your childhood that gave you feels no other game managed to replicateThere's lots of 3D platformers out there but only one Jak, not even its own sequels felt the same
>>729796607Not him but I recently replayed Ratchet and Clank games and first one aged like milk gameplay wise unfortunately. I dont mind janky shit but god damn autoaim system in that game sucks balls so much and later parts of the game especially that forced "stealth" section where you get gadget to become gay ass robot is so tedious its insane plus mandatory hoverboard races and such. Movement also is pretty clunky in comparison to newer games Ratchet feels so floaty in first game. People always bring up strafing but its the autoaim that barely works you can stand next to enemy and it wont work at all. I dont know maybe they really wanted people to use first person aiming but good luck with that against non stationary enemies. Going Commando improved so much its insane.
>>729791793The game felt so mysterious as a kid. It's a shame that none of the sequels got close to making me feel like it did.
>>729798850Also that crossovers got ran into the ground
>>729791793>time travel story>stylish/anime visuals>drum and bass music>cool but goofy tone>pretty unique playing seriesIt was the perfect storm for making a big impression on kid me, and I'm still chasing after a similar soundtrack. The sequels are good, but they don't hit all the same notes.
>>729791793The world in general, the vibrancy, the magic particle effects and music all felt so fascinating to me. Dragon Quest 11 came close in some regards but it still hasn't been replicated.

>>729802230Lavenza has a soothing voice and is way nicer. Quality > quantity

Are there any good games with jiggle physics for pecs and man-ass?

Something I've never understood was why Shadow's running animation from SA2 could never be recreated in later games. In SA2, Shadow's boots actually hovered and he had a cool slightly exaggerated early 00s swagger to how he skated around. Subsequent games barely had him hover and they cant nail the skating animation to make it look natural
>>729801695>>729801769>>729801595>devs used to give a shitDon't forget Ninja Lights and Lantern Engine. In the Tokyo International Forum, you can see the Ninja Lights system in action. Dynamic shadows, lights and other effects that aren’t seen in the final game. The final game removed most of the Ninja Lights system, but some of it is still leftover. Some objects like the TVs still use Ninja Lighting. In Mystic Ruins, green bit was supposed to be a poor man's global illumination--i.e the grass "reflecting" green light. The Dreamcast had the ability to perform what was called Order Independent Transparency which SA2 used extensively for things such as item balloons and artificial chaos. When SA2 and SA1 was ported to Gamecube, many of the transparency features that the Dreamcast had couldn't be replicated and they were never fixed for the PC port.Comment too long. if we were about to make a cyberpunk video game, what would it be? let's share ideas.>I'll begin:it should be a fps but you can also play it in third person shooter. the game should take place in neo tokyo, in tokyo bay. you can roam the city.I want to add a hacking mini game or just a hacking mechanic but alas I really don't know what could it be, so if you got something, tell me. the hacking must be easy and complex at the same time so you don't waste 5min to try to hack something.one thing I find cool is being able to hack enemies so you can control them and either suicide kill them or kill other enemies (this is a very cool idea given by an anon on /v/ years ago, which I find very cool).I also want a level on the cyberspace, but again don't know what could it be or for what purpose.weapons are the most difficult to do because they must look theyre from the future but also look down the earth, not easy...here's for me
>>729799334So .hack then.
>>729798883There should be a fun RTOS that's quick paced enough to not drag down the game and it should be how hacking is done
>>729798883there's absolutely not a single person who has that picture as an avatar (or profile pic as they call it these days) and isn't a massive faggot
explaining gits simply as cyberpunk seems insufficient
>>729802168We're trying to write dystopian fiction here, not contemporary literature. It needs to be at least a little awesome for the audience to be able to break the conditioning that tells them that our current world is fine and suspend their disbelief.
