>>736528050It's begging people to press the dodge button sometimes. Dark Souls was so popular that dodge rolling 20 times to get one hit in is the norm. Back when Bayonetta came out, the assumption was that you'd hammer attack buttons, and if that didn't work, the game must suck. Witch Time exists so that there's a very obvious reward for dodging an attack. By the time you've unlocked the hardest difficulty, you shouldn't need that much encouragement to press the dodge button.

I liked that you could make your whole party like in 3. I didn't like how it was ugly. also the localization was shit but I guess that's par for the course with dq.

There's plenty of cool weapons that scale off each stat and you do unlock the ability to respec points so it's not a big deal if you want to alter your stat allocation later on.

i feel like its the other way around. boomer shooters feel endlessly replayable. theres always more that can be squeezed out of classic doom, always more WADS to play. but with newer shooters it doesnt feel the same, playing user made levels for doom 2016 or other new shooters just wouldnt be as fun. theres something about older mechanics that lend themselves well to new content
