If you look at how Steel does it, it's a lot more streamlined. Once you cap A, a tunnel directly to B opens up, and the one going to last opens far slower so people are more likely to go towards the B door. Additionally, the inside areas of Steel are unique enough that you could screenshot anywhere on the map and know exactly where that person is. I think Hadal does suffer from having a lot of samey looking cooridoors so it's harder for someone to intuitively know they are in a new area. And like another anon said, while the signs on the walls do point you in the right direction, there's a lot of detail everywhere which means it's easy to overlook. Meanwhile on something like Steel, the walls and geometry is relatively flat texture-wise, so when you see a colored sign with a letter on it, it stands out a lot more. I think if the signs were put a bit sparser and colored differently it'd help, so they pop out of the terrain more and it's easier for people to parse. Of course you CAN just say "look at the map" but I feel like that's bad visual design to force the average player to look at a map to understand the level they're on, when instead the map should be designed so it's clear and obvious where the important parts are
