I'm trying to grind american planes with the F-4S, and I'm not understanding what I'm doing wrong with its radar. I'll lock onto a target with PD HDN that's coming at me at a range of ~5km. Closure rate of ~650m/s which should be hot enough for PDV to maintain a lock. He won't notch but maybe he'll turn ~20 degrees tops from coming straight at me, and then my radar just swaps to TRK MEM before dropping the entire lock and sending my sparrow into the dirt.I know that the radar is supposed to struggle with rear aspect but this keeps happening against things flying down my throat. So do premium helicopters at 11.0 exist just to skip the grind? Because it seems like your money would be better off put towards a premium tank that you could use to then grind out the helicopters. Looking at the Ka-50 and sven's Mi-28, I think I'd rather invest in getting a paypiggy lineup of ~10.0 tanks than having the paypiggy helicopter but then plain tech tree tanks to take it out with.
