Finally beat the DLC yesterday. Spent nearly 10 hours fighting Radahn, and several hours looking up videos on youtube to learn his moveset. Beat him with a Sacred Uchigatana and without any Spells, Ashes or Summons. Felt really incredible to finally beat him. Just had to change from Maliketh Armor to Cavalry of the Night armor for the better Holy defense.I am not actually that skilled, I used summons for a lot of bosses in the main game, but beating Sekiro game me the confidence, and I managed to beat all of the DLC bosses by myself.

I liked pretty much everything about the DLC except for the bosses (tryhard dishonest bullshit) and skibidi system (tryhard bullshit), it's just that I hated the bosses so much it soured me on the whole experience. Even bosses I did like tended to have dumbass attacks that pissed me the fuck off like the Sunflower's infinite range explosion or Metyr's beyblade spin or Midra's two-frame Frenzy Azur.
It's soulless, poorly written, bosses need some hardcore refinement (Some cut scenes and hitboxes that match the animations better), the map is shockingly empty, resources are reused too often from previous games including the base game, too few DLC items/spells properly work with base game talismans, the lack of an opening cut scene, the mismatch between advertising and the actual game...It's as if the person making this hates the fact that his greatest project ever made was written by a white man.

Rot is not alien to her, it is Malenia. So Miquella Law of Regressing someone like even Romina to being rot-free work since she was originally a human being, but trying that on Malenia or Messmer would do nothing.

If Finlay wasn't the greatest soldier in the world Malenia probably would've died. Even if he can't cure her rot he can at least prevent it from getting worse with the needle.

People think Malenia's dialect is inconsistent between the DLC and base game but it actually isn't. You use "thee" and "thou" as someone of a higher position to someone of a lower position, while "you" is respectful. She calls the Tarnished "you" because she recognizes us as a worthy foe. But since Radahn is currently kneeling under her after getting his army slaughtered and his ass impaled, and his ultimate role is to be Miquella's boytoy, Malenia talks to him like the bottom he is.

I honestly think the writing team literally just forgot about Finlay, who's only ever mentioned once. Her ash item description is big in the fandom but it's literally two sentences and even those two were added late in development (as in, Finlay's lore of carrying Malenia back to the Haligtree just isn't in 1.0). In the DLC writers' minds, Malenia folded Radahn, saw him laying face-down, and then walked back to the Haligtree of her own volition after thinking he died. Then she was put to sleep by Trina when she got there to sooth her pain while Miquella began work on the unfinished needle we find on her in the post-battle trade (then interrupted by him getting kidnapped). He didn't need to accompany Finlay to protect Malenia because Malenia didn't need protection.
