Currently cleaning up the first half (everything pre-Drangleic Castle) of my DS2 Genocide Run. Fuck me, the Dark Chasms of Old are irritating to clear out of spawns. The Black Gulch and Drangleic Castle ones aren't too awful if you can parry the Havelnigger in the castle one, but the Shaded Ruins one with the DEXfags + Spam Ghost is just brutal. Looking forward to the latter half of the main game and the DLCs, though. All of Drangleic will be devoid of life when I am done.

I can beat the first phase of Inner Isshin easily, hitless at times, but I'm getting creamed by the second one. Any tips to adjust? I feel I get punished if I try to attack back too much, and unlike the first phase I don't do nearly enough posture damage if I just defend.I say Inner Isshin because that's what I'm fighting now. installed ds2played ds2 for 3 hoursit is insanely fucking easy and every single enemy is beaten by circlestrafing, even the enemies who effortlessly turn on a dime. the only time the game is difficult is when it throws 3-4 enemies at you, due to said enemies spamming their patented ds2>swing>swing>...>swingcombo, overlapping with one another. not the good kind of difficult, the "this is annoying and it doesn't even feel like the game is working well" difficult. i will probably keep playing ds2, it's the greatest game of all time.
