Varre is a weirdo but he does speak of Mohg's boundless love which is supported by the admittance of Albinaurics into his faction. It's not exactly a secret that Mohg was unloved by his mother Marika, and as such he may have founded his dynasty on the entire concept of loving those spurned by her and the fingers. We also know fuck all about the Formless Mother and it's not a stretch to read what info we do have on her as her being a savior for the downtrodden. Almost all of this is just theory of course, as most lore is, but it seems incredibly likely to me that Mohg and his ilk were a good-hearted bunch who just wanted to tear down the fingers and make a more loving world. It's certainly plausible, given how much respect a guy like Ansbach had for him.

When you kill Maliketh, it has no effect on Gurranq and vice-versa because Maliketh's existence there is totally separated from his existence in TLB proper. Same goes for Placidusax, which is why Florissax can still communicate with him even though we've killed him. What we do there can be in the past, future, or honestly neither. If no co op phantoms are summoned the invaders damage and damage negation is normal, blue phantoms count as co op and trigger it. Co op phantoms have can no longer do poise damage or hitstun to invaders, only hosts.Co op phantoms recieve no reward for doing co op.Invaders get ancient smithing stones for each host killed. (Bloody finger normal, recusant finger somber)Blue phantoms can damage hosts and get the rewarded with, i dunno whatever blues like, a spiritual dildo? My reaction speed is kind of slow so I tend not to be able to roll the first few slashes in time. Is there a trick to when she uses it? At first I thought it was a roll catch vs rolling away but sometimes it seems like she does it at random.

Stupid question: why weren't the scadutree fragments exclusive to Messmer? Hell, ditch the fragments entirely and make it like Eleum Loyce where you go around collecting NPCs by completing their questlines and then have a big gank party vs Messmer. You get buildup for the big prominent mandatory boss, you're more invested in the NPCs, fucking up their questlines has actual gameplay relevant consequences, all the other bosses are scaled normally so you don't have to do any mandatory collecting to fight them properly. I mean, shit, some of the NPC quests could involve fighting the optional remembrance bosses. Literally anything but what we actually got.
